**What do you like best about ChannelMix?**

ChannelMix is the perfect blend between an out of the box solution that can be customized and tailored to your business's needs in a price range that makes MMM and attribution attainable for businesses of most small(ish) - mid ranges. The customer support is unmatched. I lean on my account team all the time to help me brainstorm how to answer questions I get from leadership with their tools and reports. And, if it can't be answered with the way the tool stands, they are happy to jump in and make edits to get us the answer.

Another huge selling point for me was that the reports are extremely user friendly and as self explantory as you can get for the type of material it is.

The implementation was super easy and I love that these reports are always up to date, unlike when we were working with our past MMM vendor.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

There are some area of opportunity to improve the user interface of the Control Center where users can connect and reconnect data sources. However, I know the team has this on their roadmap and will be improved sooner rather than later.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are leaning on ChannelMix to help us understand how our marketing dollars are working together on both a national and local level to make decisions on our   marketing mix. We use it to forecast our media plans and adjust according to what it is recommending. Additionally, we use ChannelMix to see our entire pipeline performance and our conversion rates through the funnel down to marketing channels.

**What do you like best about ChannelMix?**

ChannelMix offered all of the features that we desired when we looked into ETL platforms.  Many platforms limit the number of connections you can use--ChannelMix does not.  ChannelMix comes with a comprehensive collection of dashboards which was lacking from some other platforms. And we have been able to customize some connections through their customer support team.   Overall, ChannelMix has been able to fulfill all of our tracking needs for the diverse group of clients we work with.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

There is a somewhat steep learning curve, which is to be expected with any full-featured platform.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The hardest part  of running campaigns on multiple platforms is being to track the totals: Total spend, impressions, clicks, etc.  ChannelMix allows us to connect multiple data sources, including offline sources, so that we can track these totals.  But their dashboards also allow us to break everthing down by marketing channel and campaign.  In addition, there are other dashboards that allow us to look at just Social Media, digital, and traditional media.  This lets us drill-down into each channel to look at performance in one place instead of logging into multiple platforms.  And because the dashboards are all in Tableau, we can customize them or build new ones to satisfy any custom requirements a client might have.

**What do you like best about ChannelMix?**

ChannelMix helps me feel confident in my data across all my clients. Their logic behind their normalization creates ease of use in the CM platform as well as the client facing dashboards me and my team create on a weekly basis. My team is able to focus on tailored dashboard solutions for our client using creative freedom because the datasets CM helps create are fluid and able to match most solutions we're trying to achieve.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

Honestly, many of my pain points with CM have been addressed and solved over the years of our partnership. They are a very aware organization that is on the frontline of best practices and industry leading know-how. Typically any pain points we find are on my end and CM is always keen to help. i'd say at a minimum for a negative, sometimes rolling out new features there are some bugs but never anything significant that hault my day-to-day.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My Agency uses tons of platforms, vendors, tagging and attritubtion models and in the past we would manually collect, pivot, report and analyze the data which would be a very length process. To simply put it, we partnered with CM to automate as much of our data and analytics as we could to ultimately save time & money and providing more value to clients retainers.

The ability to have a reliable outsourced analytics platform, team, and quality reporting for a reasonable value is why we've stayed with ChannelMix for many years.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

The only challenge we've encountered is our need for more consulting services since we do not have an in-house analytics team.  The other item is getting alerted on broken data feeds, but I believe that is in the 2024 roadmap to correct.

The ability to consolidate multiple data sources from media, to website, to business data gives us the ability to tell the complete value of our agency efforts to our client

Dedicated team of professionals at your service to handle a variety of problems. The ticketing system allows for a quick and organized work. They provide custom solutions per client to build a personalized dashboard and marketing model.

My only concern at the start would be paying for Level 1 and 2 Dashboards when we really only needed Level 3 and 4.

The data aggregation is simple and is done mostly by support staff, making it easy for anyone to do. The pre-made dashboards also make it so anyone can view their data without needing to build anything complicated in Tableau.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

When activating data and when QAing data it can be difficult since so much relies on ChannelMix support, waiting for them to respond when you are on a time crunch is not ideal. This can be avoided by setting aside enough time to get everything working properly.

ChannelMix helps us combine all of our data from multiple sources and harmonize it so we can view it in one cohesive dashboard. As an agency, we have many different clients and being able to manage all of their data in ChannelMix makes it so simple. Having pre-built dashboards that we can plug and play for all of our clients is amazing.

**What do you like best about ChannelMix?**

Channelmix takes a very complicated set of tasks and fully manages them. Our agency uses them across our clients to aggregate all relevant media data and manage our data warehouse. They make the entire processs quick and easy for us!

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

There aren't a ton of cons we've experienced directly. However, one thing we dislike is that occasionally we are charged support hours for issues we believe are on their end rather than us requesting additional assistance beyond the scope of our contract. Those hours in our opinion, should not be charged to the client as they're fundamental to ChannelMix's operations.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They aggregate media data across our entire marketing mix and manage our data warehouse. We then handle the visualization and analysis on our end, but it wouldn't be possible without their expertise!

The way ChannelMix creates their datasets makes it easy to replicate dashboards once everything is standardized. It also allows us to focus on things things that are not the ETL process.

The software contains integrations with most major online marketing and analytics platforms, and the team has been helpful in developing integrations or workarounds for those not yet built in. Dashboards are highly customizable to be able both monitor PPC spend and to show data to internal stakeholders and clients.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

The logistics of the onboarding process can take a while to get fully set up and running. Dashboards refresh by default once a day, so it can be difficult to see changes in real time unless a manual refresh is requested.

ChannelMix has allowed us to be able to monitor spend pacing and performance data across multiple platforms, in addition to being able to have quick, easy-to-read reports to share.

The blend of automation with a support ticket system makes Channelmix a powerful and flexible platform and partner. It allows us to get the exact views we need with our data.

Sometimes support tickets (even simple ones) run two weeks to completion. Not always the case though, sometimes they are  finished within a day or two. When it does happen it can push deadlines out further.

Our organization wants a closed loop view of how the marketing and sales ecosystems are performing. Channelmix allowed us to consolidate all of our datapoints into meaningful views we can make decisions on.

The way it aggregates all of the data from a variety of disparate sources together in a cohesive fashion.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

While the greatest strength, mentioned above, is that it mixes the results together very well, it doesn't have all available data when necessary. For example, in some platforms, you have multiple types of "clicks" and all of them are- by default - turned into a single column.  Ideally, all sources would be merged when appropriate but at times when a data source has other similar metrics available, it would be best if those columns were also available all the time.

We've automated our reporting such that we can focus on content rather than manually pulling data.  The biggest hurdle we faced was we had tons of custom reports and channelmix has largely allowed us to move away from that tmodel.

Alight is a fantastic tool to upload and analyze data. Users can compile big data sets into dashboards. This is very helpful for when clients want to know how an ad is performing but don't necessarily want to get deep into the details.

I do want Alight to find a way to target specific demographics. In this era of marketing, it is so essential advertisements get to the correct user who needs the product or service. Without this capability, we're shooting in the dark.

We are trying to figure out how else we can get our advertisements to our target audience. The benefits are thorough and detailed reporting, but we need to figure out targeting.

We have been able to completely transform our analytics processes and create standardizations and consistencies where we would have never been able to otherwise. Having the ability to automate all of our digital reporting and solve internal challenges like pacing has been a gamechanger for us, as the teams can now spend more time actually generating insights and making optimizations that are meaningful. It has allowed us to offer analytics services to our clients that have been a differentiator for us.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

I haven't run into any downsides with ChannelMix at this time. We were able to automate over 600 dashboard views in 1/2 the amount of time originally anticipated due to increased efficiencies.

**Recommendations to others considering ChannelMix:**

Don't be afraid to take the leap! It has been the best decision my organization has made to partner with ChannelMix. They have dedicated support that tackles issues and requests quickly, and the product is above any other that I have used in the past. They're a leader in the space and they serve as an extension of your internal analytics/BI team.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved problems around internal efficiencies by partnering with ChannelMix to handle the aggregation for us. It allowed for us to have automated refreshes of our data and to roll out dashboards that would not have been sustainable otherwise. Additionally, we now are less concerned with data integrity since we have removed the human component of aggregation across platforms.

The benefits are shown in revenue, with over 200% increase in revenue the first year for analytics alone, and in time spent, with the teams now shifting to spend 85% of time on insights and optimizations vs. manual aggregation.

How easy it is to use for my colleagues and myself. I appreciate how much simpler it has made our reporting. We report on social media, radio, digital, television.

Sometimes, living in Alaska makes data collection difficult.
Everything works properly.
The product could not be much better, but it would be nice to not be in a rural area.

The UI is relatively intuitive and makes the data connection process easy as can be.

After the connections are made, there are a lot of tickets that need to be manually created. Having a way to auto-create and submit tickets inside C3 would be ideal.

Highly recommend using this product if you want to save yourself the hassle of implementing and managing a database on your own.

The userface is very intuitive and the simplicity makes it very easy to accomplish goals.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

The library layout of rows and columns can be a little difficult to use because the scroll is only top to bottom rather than allowing for left to right navigation as well. It also can take a little bit of time to swap rows and columns and sometimes I'll have to restart my sessions due to freezing pages and occasional errors.

**Recommendations to others considering ChannelMix:**

When getting started have thorough discussions about all reporting requirements with the ChannelMix support teams to make sure they can establish proper connections and pull the right metrics and dimensions needed. They are great and working with you to solve problems and will often propose solutions to questions that you have trouble solving yourself and are really thoughtful and can guide you.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to connect our clients' data very easily to create holistic views of their marketing efforts and we've gained speed to insights when before we were trapped in manual processes that slowed us down and made it harder to look ahead.

We appreciate the dependability of data connections.  Blake and Kayla are also fantastic to work with.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

The ChannelMix user interface is my least favorite part of the service.  I also wish users had the ability to query on top of the data.  Without this ability, we are at the mercy of Alight support to customize datasets, which adds time to process improvement and limits what we can make possible with our data.

**Recommendations to others considering ChannelMix:**

ChannelMix is a wonderful solution if you have limited engineering and server resources in house.  This is not a fully custom solution out of the box, and does not come with an ability to query data within the platform itself.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

API connection maintenance and establishing connections with data sources we've not previously used.  The service allows us to have a single invoice per month no matter how many data connections we have established at a given time.

**What do you like best about ChannelMix?**

Easy to submit tickets and get timely responses. You can also see all the historic tickets on the platform so I can get the contexts from the tickets submitted by other data analysts in my company. Furthermore, it's a good platform to handle data for all clients by data sources.  So I can review the data not only for my own clients but also get access to data from other clients if I need to use them.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

Cannot see the data refresh time for each dataset on channel mix so I had to go to the alight dashboard to see the actual refresh time. I think it'll be much more convenient if we can see the data refresh time for each dataset. 

Furthermore, sometimes I had to re-authenticate some platforms but there is no reminder on the website for me to re-authenticate so sometimes there will be disconnection for the data on some platforms such as Linkedin. It would be great if we can have that in channelmix.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data management problems. I've got to manage all clients' data in one place on channelmix.

Also, other people in my organization got to use channelmix to submit their tickets as well so they wouldn't come to me directly for data issues. Instead, they reach out to the data team on channelmix to get the problem solved, which saved me a lot of time. in the meantime, they can also get prompt responses from channelmix instead of me being the contact to do that.

It's the only solution of it's kind that I've found that can bring in the data sets we need and get into the Tableau dashboards. 

The templated reports are good. But once the data is in place the options are limitless.

However, what ChannelMix lacks on that end, they more than make up for with personal support with onboarding.

Our first core problem was getting automated Google Analytics data into Tableau. From there, we have worked to start developing a true 360 degree view of our clients' marketing; including offline marketing data.

Alight Analytics Channel Mix product allows me to efficiently do my job without worrying about how I'm going to manage and aggregate data from hundreds of data connector APIs.

**What do you dislike about ChannelMix?**

The onboarding was more intense that I anticipated. Alight's staff was awesome when communicating to me during the process of onboarding, and that helped quite a bit. However, it does take some time and patience to get things going on your first client. Every client I've added after that has been much easier.

**Recommendations to others considering ChannelMix:**

ChannelMix has a bit of a learning curve when you are first onboarded. However, it is worth the time to really learn how to use ChannelMix. The Alight team is ready to help and answer your data questions. Their support is truly excellent.

**What problems is ChannelMix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time savings and data fidelity has been a huge bonus! If I need to add a new data set or modify a data set, I don't need to worry about how the data is being pulled. Being able to easily bring in hundreds of  digital data feeds and even upload data that comes via a physical file has been a lifesaver. I would not be able to do my job in the same way without Channel Mix.

I have one dashboard that integrates all of our digital media analytics - paid search, display, paid social media and website performance. Channelmix makes Marketing time and spending more efficient. It has been a great tool for reporting upward with Executives and proving out the value of Marketing.

There is a little bit of set-up time needed to hook all the pipes but the team are experts to help you through it.

Marketers by nature are not analytics experts.  We can spend a lot of time gathering data to present the value of Marketing.  I do not have to piece part reports and analysis from different digital media platforms.  I now have one place to view performance and optimize spend.

Most of our issues resolve around the service times Alight takes to perform needed tasks as well as the lack of communication on projects and time used.

There are many other options to consider if you have database team members or are not able to wait weeks for items to be completely by Alight.

We sometimes run into performance issues in the ChannelMix Library due to the size of our data ecosystem. This is only a minor inconvenience though.

They continue to roll out exciting enhancements to their platform and have truly been amazing partners. If you are an agency that wants to take your marketing analytics to the next level you need to get on board with ChannelMix.

We now have more time to work on the things that provide the most value to our clients - building out dashboards, generating insights, and making optimizations to improve campaign performance. Provide non technical people the opportunity to have access to aggregated data in an easy way and able to visualize it. The aggregation of data and the maintenance of APIs is extremely helpful.

It is product that does everything it boasts, but there tends to be some limit in what out of the box things you may want to do that require greater sophistication. The control over data sources and transparency seems to be lacking. The team does most of the heavy lifting which again is very beneficial with a non technical audience- but as organizations grow will they be able to provide the resources that we need?

Maintenance of APIS and easy data set up.

I've just been having some troubles with the visualization tool that I use (GDS), and it doesn't reflect the ChannelMix software, I think it's primarily the visualization tool that you use so choose your BI tool wisely
