"A reliable and best performance Linux distro"

5/5

What do you like best about CentOS?

I like best about CentOS its rock-solid stability, long-term support, and extensive software availability. It provides a reliable and secure operating system, making it an excellent choice for server environments and enterprise deployments. Even in day to day usage it can handle tasks with ease. I been using this since 5 years and i never regretted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CentOS?

One of the biggest flaw is definitely the delayed updates and less forums for discussion. I have faced several problems installing vivid applications that use wine support of windows, have definitely faced lots of struggle there. Another flaw would be the interface, it's always the same. As a teenager and junior developer I would love to see interfaces with more joy and usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CentOS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Stability is the main deal with CentOS. I love the way it competes with red hat enterprises, it just feels premium than other operating systems. And even with work basis it's super fast and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CentOS?

When CentOS was on its hey-days, It was secure, and one-on-one compatible with RedHat Enterprise Linux. It was also very easy to implement, and over-all, user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CentOS?

Customer support is as good as community support which could be rife with inaccuracies as most users base their contributions from their own experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CentOS solving and how is that benefiting you?

As CentOS is already within its EOL, there's nothing much to benefit me. It's already time to migrate to another RHEL-Based Distro, such as Rocky Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CentOS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have used CentOS as a service bus to interconnect through different web servers and applications that provides information in different systems. Since it is a stable and robust operating system,it helped in smooth operation by not hanging up or get stuck at the time of execution. Since it has expanded to run Apache,PHP,MySQL,it helps to maintain the budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
