"User-Friendly and Versatile, But Heavy on Bandwidth"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I like continuing to learn how to use Camtasia. I'm self-taught and have watched a few Camtasia and YouTube videos, but Camtasia is very user-friendly. It's nice that I can use it well despite not knowing all the bells and whistles yet; I'm sure there’s more to explore. I use features like annotate, zoom in, and transition a lot. The split and cut buttons are my favorite. Doing captions through Camtasia is pretty easy too. Overall, the initial setup was super easy, just a matter of clicking buttons. What do you dislike about Camtasia?

So speaking of captions, I've uploaded SRT files before but still had to go through and correct many of the words because it didn't upload exactly as what I put in, using different words. The only hard part of Camtasia overall is that it requires a lot of bandwidth, and it can sometimes really bog down my computer. That is frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Camtasia: A Long-Time Favorite for Seamless Training and Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I use Camtasia for creating training videos and managing my staff effectively. It's been my go-to software for twenty years, and I wouldn't be as successful in my profession without it. Camtasia is really user-friendly and doesn't have the steep learning curve that some other software does. Their tutorials are very easy to understand, and I appreciate getting weekly webinars in my inbox, which I can watch if they pertain to something of interest. I like their asset library, which is very helpful because I don't have to buy outsourced assets; I can keep everything combined with TechSmith. It makes my videos look even more professional, using background audio, lead-ins, and built-in animations to introduce a video, really putting a polish on my work. Setting it up and using it is very easy, and I can't say enough good about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I know the cost is getting more, which is something to think about since I started when I could just buy a package without a yearly subscription. I understand it's necessary with development, but it's still a consideration. Also, it would be useful if Camtasia had a video compression capability, as that's something that could really help. What do you like best about Camtasia?

1. Easy to edit, cut, trim videos

2. Add readymade intros and outros

3. Add quizzes within the video

4. Create interactive videos

5. Add a menu bar to the videos

6. Simple to zoom, capture keystrokes etc.

7. Create videos for YouTube. You can even integrate your YouTube account to upload videos directly to your channel.

8. Create shorts and reels in 9x16 format

7. Performance of the tool is good. It is not resource hungry like some of the other video editing software.

8. The speed at which you are able to trim videos helps you get a good ROI

9. Camtasia has a great YouTube library of tutorials, which acts as a great support when you are startingout or trying to achieve something which you have not done before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I would love Camtasia to generate auto captions and have a provision to provide mac + win keystrokes at the same time (even if they are provided by the user at the time of editing) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Video Creation with Intuitive Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I find Camtasia very easy to use, and it's straightforward to learn new features when they're added. One feature I've used a lot lately is hotspots, which allows a 'choose your own adventure' type of course for users to select what they want to learn first. The initial setup of Camtasia was very easy with simple installation and configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

AI integration has not been as useful as I hoped so I don’t use it much at all. Specifically, with the use of avatars and AI generated voices, I feel that the technology is still a little bit behind. Providers like Sunthesia are much further ahead and easier to use and appear more realistic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth Presentations with Great Integration and AI Transcription"
4/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I like the putting the final pieces together and seeing my project when it's finally done. The integration features helps me create a smooth presentation for my audience. The performance level is compatible with my software. Since I work for an Institution, the Pricing / ROI is returned once the students view the course. I also like the AI feature when it comes to the transcripting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Some of the performance is not the best. There have been projects I have worked on where the video slows down while uploading media, and that can be frustrating. Sometimes the support from the company is not the best. The onboarding or helpful tips area could be improved since there have been times I had to recreate videos due to compatibility issues and there was no warning as I was creating the video. "Effortless Video Editing with Intuitive Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I really like how easy Camtasia is to use, with a simple interface that allows me to quickly put together training videos. I can effortlessly drag and drop different assets, do voice narration and subtitles, and edit keyframes and transitions. It's quite advanced yet user-friendly. I especially like the way different animations can stack over the top, allowing me to add elements such as text with different styles that fit my brand and the tone of the video. This makes the videos more engaging, and I've noticed it increases the watch time when using Camtasia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

So there's not a great deal actually that I would improve, to be honest. The main gripes I have with the software is that maybe it doesn't quite have a fluid interface in some aspects. So you've got to kind of refer to documentation for some aspects of it because they're sort of nested away in different interface. I end up not quite sure which ones are the correct folder for you, if that makes sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Easy-to-Use Suite with Seamless Camtasia, Audiate, and Snagit Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I love the way Camtasia, Audiate, and Snagit integrate with each other. The tools are feature-rich while still being easy to use, which makes my workflow smoother. I also really like the integration with YouTube. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I’ve run into consistent issues during renewals and major software upgrades. Despite those frustrations, I’ve researched other product solutions and, in short, nothing else compares to the power and capability of Camtasia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easiest Recording and Editing Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

How easy it is to get started recording and, more importantly, how easy the editing process is. Comparing to other editing software, this has definitely been the easiest. Now with added AI features, it is never easier to create content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Some components can be tricky to learn how to do, but once you get them it's not bad. I have had some performance issues, but they haven't occurred too much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Camtasia is very easy to use, super stable, and extremely intuitive. I have found it very easy to add graphics, other elements, animations, etc. It makes my editing workflow very predictable and efficient. The integration of Audiate makes the sound editing much more seamless. Camtasia is a great value for the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I’d really love it if it were easier to add captions and create transcripts with the base package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Built-In Templates and Granular Timeline Editing Make Creation Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I like the built-in templates to get started, but also love the granularity on the edit timelines. I can separate tracks, cut up audio and video separately, or together, and can output to whatever format I need (socials, LMS, video). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I think the quality of the recorded demos varies quite a bit. If I'm recording something for a simulation, it is perfect, but if I'm recording myself drawing on a piece of paper on my desk for a tutorial, the quality is a bit lower (tried three different cameras).
