Any larger companies will struggle **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2022 **What do you like best about Buildxact?** The take-off module is cool, but variations and orders are a bit of a mess, and budget control is impossible. **What do you dislike about Buildxact?** Moving from one job to another is time-consuming, also, if you want to add a new item to the catalogue, or add a new supplier, you need to leave the job, go to the catalogue, add the item, go back to the jobs list, search for your job, find it and open it again, and add the new item into your estimate. Sometimes the newly added item won't show up, and you need to do the whole process again which socks. Also, the scheduling module is a joke. The dates are not right, and the email it sends to the supplier has the wrong commencement dates. We brought it up with Support Team several times, but it is still the same! **Recommendations to others considering Buildxact:** This is not flawless software, and support is a bit slow. You ask a question, and the next day you receive the answer. Also, expect to get angry at the software, since sometimes you feel it is a stupid one. If you have five jobs a year, this can be a good one for you, but if you build more, consider other options. We switched recently from Buildxact to SmarteBuild, and it suits our need. **What problems is Buildxact solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quick sales estimate is easy, but production is too hard, and sometimes impossible. ### 13.
