**Reviewed by:** Vishwjeet T. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Broadleaf Commerce?**

I like Broadleaf Commerce for its flexibility. It's valuable to us because we can customize core parts of the platform like product structure, pricing rules, and checkout flows. This flexibility was a key reason we switched from a more limited commerce setup to Broadleaf Commerce, as we needed greater flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Broadleaf Commerce?**

I find the learning curve can be steep at the start and some parts of the platform can take time to understand. It would be great to see a smoother onboarding experience, more real-world implementation examples, and simpler documentation.

**What problems is Broadleaf Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Broadleaf Commerce helps us handle complex ecommerce workflows like custom catalogs, pricing, and checkout. Its flexibility allows us to customize core parts of the platform.

**What do you like best about Broadleaf Commerce?**

The best part about Broadleaf Commerce services is that all of them can be chosen individually and combined as required. The business owner has a full say in what tools he wants and he pays only for those.

**What do you dislike about Broadleaf Commerce?**

Broadleaf Commerce offers a plethora of choices which, more often than not overwhelms the user as to what they should opt for. If the user is unfamiliar with some of the terms, it will get dicey. Broadleaf Commerce should dedicate a team to simplify these complex terms for the users.

Broadleaf Commerce is designed such that it can be customized according to the user's best interest. All the modules comply with this feature.
