# Which cloud yard management platforms have a mobile app for gate check-in so yard staff can process arrivals and departures without a fixed terminal?

Hello G2 users, one clarification first: in the yard management category, most of the current gate check-in tools run as kiosks, QR codes, or browser flows on any phone rather than as installable apps, and reviewers generally treat that as a plus because drivers won't download anything. With that caveat stated, which cloud yard management platforms have a mobile app for gate check-in so yard staff can process arrivals and departures without a fixed terminal? These are the ones with real check-in evidence:

M.Folio: Handles the full driver check-in flow smoothly based on recent reviews. Reviewers describe streamlined driver check-in and checkout workflows at their warehouses, and the vendor states drivers check in through self-service kiosks or mobile flows with no app download required, using license plate recognition at automated gates (vendor-stated). The con reviewers name is that the interface takes time for new users to learn.

Peripass: Offers the best driver experience at the gate based on recent reviews. One reviewer highlights that drivers self-check-in in their own language, which they say saves time and reduces stress at the gate, and another names automatic dispatching as the feature they use most. The wish-list item from the same reviews is a proper reporting tool for registration volumes and durations.

myQ Enterprise: Ties gate check-in directly into hardware. Recent reviewers describe truck presence sensors notifying the warehouse team the moment a load arrives, one writing it happens "often before the paperwork even makes it to the receiving office," and carriers finding the system easy to use. Cons are hardware-flavored too: camera feeds can be slow to load and fault alerts don't cover dock levelers.

SAP Yard Logistics: The vendor states mobile device support for yard personnel managing tasks on the go (vendor-stated), and it belongs on this list mainly for yards already inside the SAP stack. There are no recent reviews to speak to how the mobile experience holds up day to day, so this one needs a hands-on trial.

If your real requirement is that a guard or spotter can process a truck from anywhere in the yard, ask each vendor to run the demo on a phone over cell data, not on a laptop in a conference room. The review evidence above says the gate experience is where these products genuinely differ. Is anyone processing gate check-ins entirely from staff phones, and did drivers push back on QR or kiosk flows anywhere?

The kiosk versus app distinction is worth stress-testing in the demo. Peripass's self-check-in flow sounds smooth when drivers are cooperative, but the real question is whether a guard can process a truck from the far end of the yard on cell data with patchy signal. That's a very different condition from a kiosk sitting at the gate on a stable connection.
