The tool takes you step-by-step through the process of improving your online presence by showing you which web properties/social media profiles you should be on and how to optimize them so that they rank well when people Google your name. BrandYourself also offers custom services for those who need more hands-on help. As part of the service you will receive a dedicated specialist who will execute a custom strategy for improving your online reputation. BrandYourself's three offerings are: 1. DO-IT-YOURSELF PRODUCT (free for limited use, $99/year for unlimited use) The DIY product simplifies the complicated online reputation management process so you can do it yourself. Just submit any webpages you want people to find when they Google you (your LinkedIn, Twitter, personal website, etc.). The software will analyze those links and tell you everything you can do to make them more search engine friendly – and more likely to rank high in Google searches. The DIY product can also tell you who's Googling you. Just create a BrandYourself profile, then when people Google you and click on your profile, you'll get an alert. It can tell you where the visitor is located, what company they work for, and even what they searched for to find you. The DIY product also gives you a weekly progress report that notifies you of any changes to your Google results. 2. HEADSTART SERVICE (two payments of $399, then $20/month) You can have BrandYourself's personal branding specialists build your entire online presence for you, then leave you with a customized action plan to continue improving your results. They'll create state-of-the-art websites and profiles for you, ensuring you look great online and exist in all the right places. 3. CONCIERGE SERVICE (starting at $399/month) This is BrandYourself's white glove service. They'll do all the work for you to look great online. You'll be assigned a dedicated personal branding team who will not only build your entire online presence for you (including custom websites and profiles), but they'll continually update your content over time, strengthening you authority in Google. Some of this is with a paid subscription. I recommend pay monthly, and down grade after you get things setup. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** Two essential things are missing from the branded profile page. First, the page includes a personal profile image (picture), but it's a broken image. I have tried for months to get them to fix this. How can you have a personal profile page without a working profile image?! Second, any hyperlink URLs included in your profile are displayed as text. They are not clickable hyperlinks. The search engines will ignore these. Not suitable for SEO. **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** They have failed to resolve the broken profile image issue. This issue was reported over six months. Seems like a relatively easy thing for them to fix. Not very helpful for SEO optimization. ### 2. The tool also consistently scans search sites that may recapture my details again, making sure I'm constantly being removed from these sites. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** I hate that there are so many search sites online that have my personal data and make it available to other people and businesses - it feels so invasive! **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** Running the US branch of an agency, I was getting a lot of spam, robo and sales calls - this feature not only greatly reduced these calls but from a security perspective, I felt much safer knowing this tool was keeping my personal info off sites I didn't want it showing up on. ### 3. Well priced for the market and for all that they were able to do for me. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** Wish it was less expensive but still better deal and better results than anything else I found **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** BrandYourself is helping me solve my and my employees issues with personal information being readily available on the internet. Keeping my employees information is top of mind for me as it in turn keeps our business information safe and less susceptible to any hacks/illegal activity. ### 4. The sales guy sold me on absolute crap. Within the first week, my bad article that was supposed to be pushed down has moved higher than it ever was on the first page. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** My bad article was 2nd from the bottom on the first page and once they started it is now #4 on google. Somebody can say something about you, whether it's true or not. It can be very harmful. If you find yourself in a bad situation like this--fixing it is difficult. Google won't do anything about it. I've learned the process is all about creating a more positive presence that paints a more accurate picture. This can be expensive and time consuming. BrandYourself has expensive services like many of the other companies I spoke to, but they also have a DIY product. It helps you understand how Google works and what you can do about it. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** Even though they offer an inexpensive DIY product, it requires a big time commitment. They have a service but it's much more expensive. I wish they had something in between **Recommendations to others considering BrandYourself:** It's a time investment. I ended up deleting a lot of posts that I didn't want on my page anymore. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** I didn't personally think some of the posts it flagged "risky" were bad but I can see why they were flagged and it was good to see them all. **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm in the finance industry so it's important I don't have anything online that could jeopardize my career. ### 7. The product comes highly recommended from a couple of colleagues who swear that it's the reason they were able to switch industries and get new jobs. I haven't been using it nearly as long as they have, but so far I'm impressed with how thorough the software is. It's taking me step by step into fixing up my social media for Google and I LOVE the facebook scanner. My son gets a kick out of what kind of old stuff it digs up. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** It's not really the fault of the company, but the reality I have to accept is that it takes time to fix Google results. You basically have two choices: either take the time to do it yourself using the product or sign up for their services to do it for you. **Recommendations to others considering BrandYourself:** Be ready to invest the time to manage the process yourself using their product, otherwise you'll probably want to consider having them do it for you. **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm considering starting my own business and I'm learning how to take control of my online reputation. A nice side benefit is that I'm learning a lot about this Google-fixing process along the way. ### 9. The customer service rep I chatted with on the website was helpful. When I signed up my search score was a C. He gave me links to guides to show me how to improve my search score myself. Will update when I have more info! **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** When I saw them on Shark Tank I was just curious about the tool and they said it was free. I've been using their guides to improve my search score. I also think the social scan is beneficial for people who are interested in what comments they posted in the past. ### 11. I wished them to get my message out and they did just that. I like the personal touch. There is a project manager assigned to your project. But, they get results, Their competitor "Reputation.com" got me zero results for $5000. **Recommendations to others considering BrandYourself:** Give them a try and see if you like their results. They are merely a company that post social media. The concept of marketing and branding to target a specific industry are not in their core capabilities. **Recommendations to others considering BrandYourself:** This company is merely a company that post to social media. After going through this long detailed process and them telling me that they would help to expand and target my geographic market to increase my medical practice with the later shift in moving toward brand myself in the northeast was completely untrue. When approached them about the poor services and lack of followers or marketing prowess, they told me to give my website they built out to my already existing patients. After blocking the auto charge from my credit for misrepresentation of their company and services not rendered, they harassed me to say they would let me out of the contract if I paid an few months of service. They openly admitted their only capability is to post content on the internet and not draw in followers or corner a market for branding purposes. If we can not make arrangements terms to let me out, I do plan to force the issue to avoid others from falling for their sales team feeding mis truths. **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was looking to brand myself in the medical community to draw a specific subgroups to my practice. No follow programming keeps Google from following or boosting the links. **Recommendations to others considering BrandYourself:** Do not pay for the premium service. BrandYourself offers three levels of service. I lbegan with the free account and they showed me how to boost positive results, bury negative ones and remove ones that weren't me. This is great for those who have a common name. Since I am also very active in Social Media, I can tie my BrandYourself Profile to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and 100s of other sites, giving me control of what people see. Their tutorials walk you step by step through each process and there is a tab for Live Help to answer any questions you have. I upgraded to the premium account (about $34 for three months) and it's more than worth it. **What do you dislike about BrandYourself?** Common names are a lot more work than individual ones. I'd suggest implementing a middle initial throughout all your sites in order for you to be properly found. Google results can take up to 2 weeks to properly reflect your changes and "boosts." Beyond that, I am thrilled with this product. **Recommendations to others considering BrandYourself:** Make sure your LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook accounts properly reflect who you are. If you keep Facebook for family and friends, leave it out of the BrandYourself or create a separate email address. I have a friend who had a mugshot attached to his name that was not him and BrandYourself is the first to allow her to separate herself from it. Also, read Pete's story. The product was created because a similar situation happened to him, only much worse. I wholeheartedly endorse this product and the partners behind it. **What problems is BrandYourself solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proper identification and branding of my personal and professional value. My recent press releases can be posted and show up on the first page of google quickly. ### 16.
