# Is Cvent worth it for event networking and matchmaking?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">For most teams evaluating <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/cvent-attendee-hub/reviews"><strong>Cvent Attendee Hub</strong></a> (4.3★, 219 reviews), I'd say yes, with a clear-eyed view of what you're paying for. It holds the highest G2 Score in the category, largely on market presence rather than satisfaction alone, and reviewers back the value case directly: one events coordinator wrote that "despite a bit higher cost, it's well worth it," pointing to time saved once the team got comfortable with the tool.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">The tradeoff shows up consistently across reviews. A founder running a smaller operation described the backend as unintuitive and branding customization as very limited unless you're working directly with Cvent's support team, which she noted "isn't a very easy thing to do." The reported payback period across reviewers averages around 11 months, which is reasonable but not instant.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">My read: Cvent earns the cost for teams running larger, sponsor-heavy, analytics-driven events where its market presence and feature depth pay off. For a smaller team running a leaner conference, I'd weigh it against something like Eventee or BigMarker before committing.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Has the learning curve been worth it for your team, or did you end up leaning on Cvent support more than you expected to?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

Probably not, if networking is genuinely all you want. Cvent&#39;s value is being the whole event-management backbone, registration, agenda, the full stack, so buying it purely for matchmaking is like buying a car for the cup holders. If networking is the main event, a focused matchmaking-first tool will usually do it better and cheaper. The real question: is this a one-off need, or are you going to standardize your whole event operation on one platform? If it&#39;s the latter, Cvent makes sense and networking comes along for the ride. If it&#39;s just the connections you care about, look lighter.
