Their B1 Usability Package (B1UP) is a game-changer. It lets us customize screens, automate workflows, add powerful functions, and improve data handling with minimal or no coding — using simple tools like Universal Functions, triggers, and SQL/HANA knowledge. This has saved us countless hours and significantly reduced our dependency on expensive developers. Beyond that, their solutions (manufacturing apps, PIM, Print & Delivery, etc.) are built with real business needs in mind. They focus on the entire product value chain, helping manufacturers streamline everything from design to delivery. The biggest wins for us: Dramatically better user adoption (people actually enjoy using the system now) Huge productivity gains through automation and smarter workflows Excellent ROI — quick implementation and ongoing flexibility Reliable partner that keeps innovating (especially with Web Client support and AI features) Boyum IT doesn’t just sell add-ons — they genuinely help turn SAP B1 into a modern, efficient platform that supports growth instead of holding it back. Highly recommended for any SME manufacturer or distributor using SAP Business One. **What do you dislike about Boyum IT?** While Boyum IT delivers excellent solutions overall, there are a few areas where I think they could improve: Support response times can sometimes be slower than expected, especially for complex or urgent issues. You often need to follow up on tickets, and resolution can take longer compared to some other vendors. Occasional performance impact — When you apply heavy customizations (especially with B1UP Item Placement, many triggers, or formatted searches), some screens can become noticeably slower. It’s manageable, but requires careful optimization. Learning curve for advanced features — B1UP is extremely powerful, but mastering Universal Functions, advanced triggers, and best practices isn’t intuitive for beginners. More comprehensive video tutorials or certification paths would help. A few feature limitations still exist (e.g., limited row/cell-level coloring in grids, or certain Web Client functionalities still catching up). That said, these are relatively minor compared to the massive value they provide. Boyum is very responsive to feedback and keeps releasing improvements. I’d still strongly recommend them — just be prepared to invest time in proper setup and optimization. **Recommendations to others considering Boyum IT:** Yes — I would strongly recommend Boyum IT, especially to small and medium-sized manufacturers and distributors already using SAP Business One. If you’re struggling with a rigid or overly complex ERP, want to reduce manual work, or need to customize workflows without hiring expensive developers, Boyum’s tools (particularly B1 Usability Package - B1UP) are excellent. They focus on real business problems in the product value chain and deliver practical, innovative solutions that actually help you grow. **What problems is Boyum IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Boyum IT primarily solves the common pain points that small and medium-sized manufacturers face with standard ERP systems like SAP Business One — especially around usability, process automation, and managing the entire product value chain efficiently. Key problems they address: Complex & rigid ERP interfaces — Standard SAP B1 can feel clunky and requires heavy custom coding for even simple changes. Manual, error-prone processes — From product data management to production scheduling, quality control, and intercompany transactions. Fragmented data & poor visibility — Product information scattered across systems, making omnichannel sales, accurate quoting, and on-time delivery difficult. High customization & maintenance costs — Needing developers for every tweak increases costs and slows down adaptation. How it's benefiting us: Boyum’s tools (especially B1 Usability Package (B1UP), their manufacturing apps, PIM solutions, and dashboards) let us customize and automate workflows with minimal or no coding. This has dramatically improved user adoption and daily efficiency. We now have better control over product data (PIM), smoother production planning, automated approvals, and real-time insights — resulting in faster order processing, fewer errors, reduced manual work, and improved on-time delivery. Produmex wms- Magnar hr **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2023 **What do you like best about Boyum IT?** Customer support, when they are answering the phone they are very helpful, however, they take too much time to get a solution for the problem and we found that we many cases and tickets we opened with them. **What do you dislike about Boyum IT?** Their products, May be their product are working for organizations outside the country Gulf area. They are providing solution with one langauge while we were in need to have it in 2 languages. As asked if it is doable before buying the product and the sales man said yes, we can do. **Recommendations to others considering Boyum IT:** To study what is the business need in the country where they are selling their products, produmex took 3 years and then we wave it, after we drain a lot of money and time. Similar to Magnar we drop it as it is not covering Kuwait law. HR system should cover and includes all the modules that government required **What problems is Boyum IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** They didn't solve my issue and no benefit from the 2 modules ### 3. For example, turn an item green if it is in stock or red it is out of stock, but this is not supported yet. **Recommendations to others considering Boyum IT:** Customers purchasing Boyum IT will need to have a little bit of computer savvy to understand the basics of how to use Boyum. The average user will not be able to go in-depth without this savvy. **What problems is Boyum IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** We created a new window that pulled data from the sales order for inspection, and when it is complete, sends the certificate to the customer. We have created a link to the shipping company so that inside sales can track shipments. ### 4.
