Best to use when compared to all the other services. A Simple and trust worthy platform where the calculations are accurate. **What do you dislike about Blue Onion?** Some integrations has to be improved since as of now we have to manually generate the reports other than this everything works great. There are no major complaints. **What problems is Blue Onion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Alot of time is saved when it comes to cash reconcilation. All the data are found in same place so no need to spend a lot of time on it. In these ways, Blue Onion is really helpful. ### 2. Lifesaver for Accountants! **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Kristin S. | Treasurer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2022 **What do you like best about Blue Onion?** I love that the software is very easy to use (learning how to navigate is a cinch), very accurate (superb audit-ability) and that the Blue Onion support team is always available to help **What do you dislike about Blue Onion?** Some downsides are: subscription discount incompatibility (sales come through net and you have to gross them up) & multiple channels running through shopify (backing out wholesale or other AR that is fulfilled through shopify but not paid through a merchant) **What problems is Blue Onion solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had clients with very large data sets (50+ transactions a month, up to 10k skus) - to reconcile their shopify account on a monthly basis was a task that would take hours and the manual process always included opportunities for user error. Now we can see the accrual based sales throughout the accounting period giving the clients a much more accurate snapshot of their MTD revenue. It's also eased the burden of manual errors. ### 3. Prior to Blue Onion, it would take 5 days to compile the data, create JEs, and reconcile payment processors. A very labor-intensive process. For the past year, JEs are created on day 1 and by day 2 payment processors are reconciled. This far exceeded my expectations. Lyndsey and her team are not looking for customers, they are looking for partners. Partners who provide feedback that can be used to improve the platform. In a world of automated customer service, it is refreshing that a person reads my emails and responds to my requests with a true answer. I could not be more pleased with Blue Onion. **What do you dislike about Blue Onion?** Can't think of any. I can easily run reports for deferred revenue, recognized revenue, deposits received, and cash in transit. I can also drill down into specific order and payment details if needed. It's great to have everything in one place. **What do you dislike about Blue Onion?** It would be great if the journal entries would sync directly with QBO. We are currently entering the journal entries manually. The journal entries are provided through Blue Onion, but a sync would make this process even quicker. **What problems is Blue Onion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Blue Onion has made the Shopify reconciliation process much more efficient. Since it pulls data from Shopify, the merchant processors, and the bank, I can find all of this data in one place. ### 8.
