It not only keeps us on track, but it provides a place where, in between meetings, we are able to add topics, so they aren't forgotten about. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** *Some of the items aren't super user-friendly. For example, we've been using it for years and still struggle to add/edit/update Rocks while in a meeting, or often move issues to the wrong meetings. *Very simplistic. All the modules--Rocks, Issues, To-Dos-- look the same. *Not customizeable. *It's a place to drop information, but that information doesn't interact with you in any other way. There are no automated reminders about rocks or to-dos that are coming due, etc. Unless you actively remember to go in and check the software between meetings, it's very easy to forget what you're responsible for. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the problems of meetings. Prior to using this tool, our meetings rarely had an agenda, they were all over the place, and sometimes ran 3+ hours...and yet accomplished very little! Bloom Growth allows us to stick to the L-10 format, keeping us on track, and saving SO much time. Our meetings are now shorter, yet more productive. And we are much less likely to forget to bring topics up, as we no longer have to rely on our memories, or random notes scribbled down--we have a central place where everyone is able to add headlines and discussion topics. ### 3. If I run into a problem, they are quick to respond. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bloom provides that one place where I can add any open issue or topics I need to bring to a meeting, whether it's for an L10 or a Same Page Meeting. It also encourages the discussion of issues in the workplace, goal (or Rock) creation and attainment and helps us to differentiate between simple "To Dos" and the larger "Rocks". **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** BY the same token, sometimes the very structure that I just praised becomes cumbersome. It can be difficult to figure out what comes next. It's not always clear how to take it to the next topic. And when it comes to building Rocks or adding things to the Traction-site, it wasn't intuitive as to how to do it. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** This tool has completely changed the way our company functions. We now as a company develop Rocks that support Rocks that the Leadership has put in place. We have goals that are quarterly, yearly and that look ahead 3 and 5 years. Works well for alignment. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** It is not quite as customizable as I wish it were and it can be a little confusing to navigate. Also, more of a concern with the EOS methodology that we feel with this software is that sometimes it rewards solving issues with false urgency, and can make it difficult to focus on the overall strategy as we investigate issues. **Recommendations to others considering Bloom Growth™:** Make sure EOS as a whole makes the most sense with your company, and make sure you have strategic alignment in quarterly planning meetings to help you use traction to monitor success rather than create it. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** It aligns our team, and it provides an effective forum to conduct an L-10 meeting. A massive benefit has been gaining more visibility into task completion and rock completion, so it certainly aids in alignment and making sure the right things are happening. ### 13. When you start a meeting, it keeps everyone in the meeting on track with what there is to discuss. If you haven't read the EOS books, then you won't understand how it keeps us on "track" and keep us moving through the meeting. Everyone now knows how to use and keep the meeting productive. Even if you have someone who doesn't use technology regularly, they will be able to pick up on this system quickly. The other things is that after a meeting, whoever is in the meeting, receives a meeting summary and you have the notes sent of what was all discussed. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** There are times when I'm adding To-Dos, Rocks, etc., and there are times when the system is fidgety. It can also run slow at times which can cause delays in the meeting. I can get annoying at times, but still provides a productive meeting. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication was a big thing in our organization. This is where we can discuss issues and get to the root cause. ### 14. You are able to create headlines regarding on what topics are needed to be addressed during your meeting and also another one would be tracking the metrics of the team. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** Something I dislike would be that the interface can quite be confusing. Yes it can be user friendly but maybe the design is a bit too formal and mostly uses subtle tones of color. I hope there are more pop of colors in the tool. **Recommendations to others considering Bloom Growth™:** It gives you a paperless summary of your meeting (unless you want hard copies of it) and also provides you a to-do list to keep you things in track with your work. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** TractionTools have solved my problem of keeping my To-Dos after a meeting. I realized that it is somewhat similar to Karbon but it has more features that are beneficial during a meeting wherein you are able to discuss who can be assigned in a certain task and also have a summary of what was discussed to be sent to your email. ### 15. I love how there's a great flow from announcing good news to solving problems. I love it keeps the meetings on track, and you can create a to-do list. You can text the issues before the meeting, which is productive and time efficient! **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** One thing I didn't like was there was no alarm to press when we went off-topic and discussed things that were not necessary. Overall, I think it's an advnatage to changing the culture and keeping meetings short and productive. **Recommendations to others considering Bloom Growth™:** Consider reading the EOS book first to fully appreciate the philosophy behind the software **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest improvement has been the culture change to fewer meetings and only holding meetings when they're established with an agenda in advance. The supporting business book that explains the philosophy behind the company has helped the management team synchronize their styles as well. ### 18. It's a great tool that does increase meeting productivity as well as keeps the team following an agenda. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** It's a very simple application, but it has too many options and no explanations on how to use them. **Recommendations to others considering Bloom Growth™:** Don't expect too much out of it. It does get the job done and keeps your team and your team's meetings on track. It does increase productivity during meetings and keeps the participants accountable. You'll be able to organize your to-dos, find and resolve issues, manage team member roles in the company, facilitate meetings, and track the goals you want to accomplish. There are plenty of different ways to set up meetings, add to-dos or issues, etc, yet each way is easy to do and easy to remember. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** It's hard to enter all of the scorecard metrics and to-dos, given that this software runs on a weekly basis and some of the scorecard metrics are monthly. That can make setting up this software a bit difficult. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously, I was using Google sheets to keep track of the scorecard and todos. This was messy and not very functional. Using the software, all of the scorecard metrics, to-do items, and issues are clean and organized. The L10 meetings also keep the agenda on track. ### 22. Just share and select who can edit and who can only view. User friendly and helpful video tutorials for those just starting to use the program. The how many minutes each topic takes up is especially helpful to keep our meetings from going over on time in. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** Would like to be able to turn off the new user checklist without having to go through the whole thing. Other than that the program is great and I can't think of anything to change. **Recommendations to others considering Bloom Growth™:** Play around with the program when you start off to get a good feel not only for what you need, but to find things that you didn't know were there to make your job easier. There are training videos available for those who have just started with the program that were helpful in getting my feet wet with the program. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Traction Tools during a conference call people would be writing notes and not have a lot of input to put into the meetings. Now everyone can see what's on the agenda at what time and can prepare before the meeting which adds more input from everyone instead of just the people that put together the meeting. We also have a chance to preview what the meeting is going to be about which gives us time to form questions before hand or have suggestions as to alternate solutions to ongoing issues. ### 23. It's designed to optimize communication, accountability, and efficiency in meetings. It keeps the minutes of the meetings, and has sections for Segues (Personal Best/Work Best), To-Dos, People Headlines, Upcoming Weekly Plans for each Attendee, Collaboration (Identify, Discuss, Solve), Issues (Rocks), and a Meeting Score from attendee.. The structure keeps everyone on task during the meeting, and allows for people to voice their ideas and collaborate in a structured way. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** I dislike the constant reminders of to-dos. I'm sure there is some setting I can adjust to turn this feature off, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I know what to-do's I have, as I'm usually the one who inputs that information into the platform, so I don't need so many reminders. I also feel there should be a place to ask questions. Sometimes, I have miscellaneous or general questions that don't fit in to the parameters of the meeting. **Recommendations to others considering Bloom Growth™:** I'd customize your workspace in Traction Tools by adding and re-arranging the tiles that are important to you. I'd also go in and add content such as to-dos and headlines before each meeting, that way the meeting leader doesn't have to spend time on data-entry. You can also assign to-do's to your co-workers and update the content of each meeting throughout the week leading up to the meeting. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Traction Tools makes sure everyone is on the same page and has access to the same information (even if they weren't present for the meeting). We solve problems each week with Traction Tools. These range from small issues like fixing a password issue for a co-worker, to large issues like technology training and sales outreach. We collaborate as a company with both short term and long-term goals. We use Traction Tools both on the executive level, as well as the team level. ### 24. Everyone knows what they're responsible for to come to the meeting prepared. **What do you dislike about Bloom Growth™?** If not used correctly, one or two people can end up with the majority of the responsibilities. I think that this is a problem on really small teams. It's hard when there's only a few of you every single week, and there's too many things that need to be done. Also, if you're meeting once weekly to have the Traction meeting, some people may have a tendency to wait until that meeting to bring up any problems. I definitely recommend encouraging your team to bring up any issues well before the meeting if able. **Recommendations to others considering Bloom Growth™:** Are your current meetings with your team effective? Do you need some help sticking to the agenda and getting these done on time? If not, Traction may be a good option for you. It will give you a clear agenda, things to cover, etc. Everyone who has any issues they need solved can add that to the issues list, and the team will then prioritize them and discuss them in order of priority. This is great for those who need a dedicated time to go over any problems they're having they may need help with. If you're already having successful meetings, I don't think I would recommend this, as it might mess with your current flow. **What problems is Bloom Growth™ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having more effective meetings has made it so everyone knows who is responsible for what, and when it will be done. It gives us an opportunity to solve problems quickly, and also, if one person has too many responsibilities, it will show during the meeting as well. ### 25. It makes checking the progress of rocks really difficult. The IDS section doesn't show the full issue if the title is too long. This way issues never fall though the cracks.
