Sync problems are unclear at times. Having more information or details on why an item didn't sync would be useful.

It’s easy to use for US entities, and the implementation process is straightforward. Support is quick, and they’ve consistently provided fast responses over time.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

There isn’t a single interface in the Global pay platform that simplifies our multi-entity, multi-country payments.

**What problems is BILL AP/AR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s helping us solve data aggregation and retention. It’s also helping eliminate multiple sources of truth across our AP and AR workflow, so we can rely on a more consistent set of data.

**What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?**

Bill.com is very user friendly and makes payments simple and efficient. I like that I can track my payments and that my entire team can submit their invoices directly to the system rather than to me.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

- It is too easy to commit fraud by creating an account with the same name as a vendor. I have learned that I need to confirm a vendor is on Bill.com before sending money. As a result, I typically pay as an ACH rather than epayment.
- I have heard from vendors that they have been asked for private information to create an account like a passport, a bank statement etc. This does not reflect well on our organization 
- Check delivery seems sporadic

BILL is helping us to solve a staffing capacity issue.

Our apologies that you have found check delivery sporadic - the standard delivery time for checks is 7 - 10 business days. The reason for asking your vendors for the information that we do is to prevent fraud from happening. Every account that is created in BILL has to provide documents to verify their account before they use the system.  To prevent adding the wrong vendor, once they create an account, they can provide you with their Payment Network ID (PNI) so that you can connect directly with them. We value all feedback, as it fuels our continuous journey to elevate our customers' experience with our software.

I really like the easy dashboard of BILL AP/AR. It's well-structured and intuitive, making my work much easier. I also appreciate how it serves as a central and easy place for approvals, eliminating the need for any back and forth with finance. The initial setup was very easy, which was a bonus.

**What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?**

Having my bills automatically filled in and sync'd to QBO on a daily basis saves me so much time getting my payables up to date. The software also speeds up getting those bills paid via ACH. I really like that they pay international vendors quickly as well. It saves a lot of time and money getting them paid fast.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

My only issue is the learning curve in how to use the software. But when I do have issues their customer support has been great. Every time I have a question or issue I get the help I need.

**What problems is BILL AP/AR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A major benefit for me is entering invoices directly from emails and them paying easily. This saves so much time keeping the back up information in one place.

Bill solves my invoicing issues for very specific clients; they don't use more traditional methods and prefer to track through Bill.

Understanding when autopay is triggered when an invoice is generated and what edits can be made is complicated.

I really like the simplicity of use with BILL AP/AR. I also value the OCR functionality that pulls in bill data automatically. It simplifies our reconciliation process each month.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

I think BILL AP/AR would benefit from increased AI integration, which would make it a much improved product.

BILL AP/AR ensures timely submission, proper approval, and correct mapping for employee expenses, simplifying my monthly reconciliation process with its OCR functionality.

**What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?**

AP approvals and organization of bills.  Don't use it for AR.   Integration (limited) with Divvy cards.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

No full integration of Divvy transactions, have to use 2 apps.   Ramp I only use one app.   Also login triple verification is a mess and takes way too long as I have 2 PCs, 3 phones and an ipad.  The system gets very confused.

**What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?**

Prior to Bill.com, we were chasing approval by email and tracking things in spreadsheets.  Bill.com has allowed us to manage those approvals more effectively.  All information is readily available for audit.  We have also consolidated several services to the Bill.com platform, consolidating the number of entry points for users and number of systems to maintain.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

Some aspects of Bill.com's reporting could use some maturity.  It is often difficult to pull needed data out in reports across the various platforms.  There is limited ability for customization.  Vendors have complaned about misleading messaging regarding account set up and time it takes to receive payments.

**What problems is BILL AP/AR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The approval process has provided the most benefit to us.  It is also nice to have all invoices and payment information in a single platform.

BILL AP/AR has been well established for a long time. BILL makes it easy for customers and vendors to connect to the portal for self-service, especially when they need to make detailed changes.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

When we switched our ERP, BILL wasn’t very intuitive to work with during the transition between systems.

I like that BILL AP/AR is quite simple and easy to use. It's also easy for older folks to use, which is a big plus. The initial setup was easy, and the training was straightforward.

It's slow at times and I've had issues with the bank payments.

I use BILL AP/AR for paying bills and getting them approved. It's quite simple and easy, even for older folks.

**What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?**

Best part of Bill AP/AR is the paying of bills and it syncing with some of the QB Online and QB Enterprise software systems.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

Downsides of using Bill AR is that they now don't let users delete or make edit changes to some of the invoices. They say this is for security reasons but then this means you have an archived invoice version there and have to create a new invoice. Another problem with Bill.com is the auto input of when it scans the pdf and populates the field is not that accurate.

**What problems is BILL AP/AR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It handles the AP process much more smoothly with Bill.com actually sending out the payments and keeping all the invoice detailed transactions in one place with also access to the invoice images.

Thankfully, I have not needed to contact Bill in a few years.  As long as it stays this way, I will not know how customer service has changed.  All I know is that it would take a major effort to make it any worse than it was.

My problem was customer service or a lack of it.

Nothing but problems.  They bounced their own check (which is not easy to do).   They did not know about it.   They failed to inform the check recipient or the company that wrote the check.  Company management has acknowledged their customer service issues, but I do not care to find out if they have been fixed.

The documentation (audit trails), approval processes, and overall documentation makes finding supporting documentation super easy. It allows for the transparency with vendors about payment timelines and the app allows me to review and pay bills from anywhere.

Unfortunately, we have been unable how to figure out how to integrate our QBO without deleting all of our historical data from bill.com. The integration is tricky when both systems have been working independently for so long.

Bill AP/AR solves for having to print and track payments out, it already keeps the documentation process and approvals workflow very easy to implement. Most recently started using approvals to be in line with our accounting procedures, making our systems that much more clean.

What I like most about Bill AP/AR is how if I have any kind of questions/concerns their customer service is right on point to make sure my issue is resolved. I use this platform everyday at work and appreciate the ease, the help with AI and the seamless integration with our business management software.

**What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?**

Integrating bill.com was one of the best decisions we made for our finance department. It helps that Bill purchased Divvy, so now I have access to our company's credit cards & budgets in the same portal as our Accounts payable. Few things that make this software worthwhile:<br><br>-I like that any incoming bills in our accounting inbox I just forward to our XXXX@bill.com and it automatically saves it in a processing folder for me to add to our AP register<br>-The internal controls for Accounts Payable is pretty robust. You can add approvers to certain bills, add rules that automatically kick-in when the threshold or rules are hit, and you have an audit trail if there was any question is a bill was made to an actual vendor.<br>-I first started using it as an international payment provider since we have vendors in Canada and Europe. Now I also use it to write checks for the company when I'm not able to process a physical check. It's just nice to have another option outside of credit cards and ACHs.

I haven't too many issues with Bill.com, honestly.

Additionally, any incoming bills sent to your accounting inbox can be forwarded to your BILL email, saving them automatically in a processing folder to be processed later, and you can add approvers to certain bills with rules in place that kick in when triggered, having an audit trail if there are any questions. You use our software for international payments, and now you can also use it to write checks when you're not able to process a physical one, providing you with another option to pay other than ACH and credit cards. **What do you like best about BILL AP/AR?**

BILL AP has modernized our payables process from paper to digital; from limited or no oversight on payables to every bill is routed to the appropriate manager for approval; and from inefficient check cutting/stuffing/mailing to payments via ACH or credit card. I highly recommend the BILL AP product!

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

As of this review, BILL AP does not have approval workflows on actual payment issuance. On the BILL AR side, invoices sync over from our accounting software but payments do not, so we do not use the BILL AR product.

**What problems is BILL AP/AR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BILL AP increases our efficiency because we are not dealing with stacks of paper; BILL AP increases our cost controls because we have managerial oversight over every bill.

Unfortunately, our experience has been too frustrating to identify any features we would call a 'best' aspect at this time.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

Our experience with Bill.com has been extremely disappointing. Their verification process is an absolute nightmare — we were asked to submit the same documents 4-5 times, and even after doing so, they continued to flag issues without providing any clear resolution.

What made this worse was the quality of their support. Every interaction with their support team felt like going in circles — no real ownership, no actionable guidance, just the same scripted responses that don’t actually address the problem. It's clear that their internal processes and customer support infrastructure are broken.

We chose Bill.com expecting it to simplify our AR workflows — instead, it created more headaches and delays. We’ve wasted far too much time on something that should be straightforward. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative solutions before committing to this platform.

Bill.com makes it incredibly easy to push payments and manage day-to-day AP workflows. The user interface is intuitive, and the sync with our ERP/QuickBooks Online works reliably, reducing manual entry and reconciliation work.

The general ledger and class tagging features are clunky and inflexible, which creates friction during close. The approvals workflow is hard to configure and even harder to navigate for non-finance users. Setting up bank authorization as a separate process is also frustrating. Finally, international payments feel tacked on — lacking transparency, flexibility, and confidence in delivery.

Bill has made it very easy to process payments with different credit card companies. This helps me as a business owner to be able to use various forms of payment and still keep it synced with our accounting for real time updates and pertinent info.

Continue to make the process faster and easier to make and receive payments. It is much more inviting to new users when it is a quick and painless set up.

Manual entry of invoices was slowing down our process. We were behind on payments, and had a whole person's job just for AP entry. We've moved to more of a review and check process for AP instead of getting bogged down in the manual entry part.

Bill.com has streamlined our P2P process - the payment integration with our bank account and the ability to issue paper checks in an automated fashion is absolutely invaluable. We have also found that it integrates seamlessly with our ERP - any changes to our reporting dimensions sync automatically, and postings have been faultless. It's great that we can build approval workflows into the vendor invoice processing, and we have found that user management is super simple. It is easy to speak to customer support, and in my experience they typically follow up afterwards to ensure that the issue is resolved/has not reoccurred.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

The only criticism I have is that the standard reports could be more comprehensive, and it is not possible to customize these. Customization of columns in various views in the user interface are also limited.

**What problems is BILL AP/AR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payments integration - ensuring that all payments can be made from a central portal regardless of vendor payment preferences. This saves our AP personnel a huge amount of time vs manual payment runs and cutting checks. It also allows for coding to our management reporting structure at source.

BILL makes AP/AR management faster, cleaner, and more transparent. I can route vendor bills for approval, pay them electronically, and track the full audit trail in one place. The integration with QuickBooks Online eliminates double entry and keeps client books up to date. I also appreciate the ability to schedule payments, get clear visibility into cash flow, and reduce the constant email follow-ups. For a bookkeeping firm, it saves time and adds professionalism to client operations.

**What do you dislike about BILL AP/AR?**

While BILL is excellent for streamlining AP/AR, there are a few areas for improvement. The subscription cost can be high for smaller clients, especially if they use only a portion of the features. The interface, while generally intuitive, can feel slow when switching between vendors or payments. Occasionally, sync delays with QuickBooks Online require manual refreshes or follow-up. For international payments, fees and exchange rates could be more competitive. Overall, these are manageable trade-offs for the efficiency it provides, but worth noting.
