I really appreciate the fact their tech support is US based and extremely knowledgeable. The service is reliable but for those instances I have had issues 9 times out of 10 it was with the ISP. **What do you dislike about Bigleaf Networks?** I wish they offered built-in site-to-site encryption ( VPN tunneling). **What problems is Bigleaf Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed to replace an MPLS circuit and have redundancy with multiple internet circuits for each site. With Bigleaf, we don't have to worry about failover and packet optimization since the service automagically does this. No internet, no sales. The other thing it fixes is with other solutions, you may not have the same public IP depending on what circuit is up or not. With Bigleaf I have the same IP regardless of which circuit is up. This is criticial for our business because our POS requires activity to come from preapproved IP addresses. With our prior setups, we used a 4G LTE backup and as soon as we switched over to that, the IP would of course change and there was no way to enusre we got the same IP. The prices are good, the reliability of the product is great, the benefits are outstanding and most importantly the service is what brings us back. **What do you dislike about Bigleaf Networks?** It is tough for us to get a quote to add new clients or upgrade surrent clients. **What problems is Bigleaf Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use SD-WAN through Bigleaf to bond internet services and also for the QOS function. The system allows us to use a single public IP address for multiple circuits and traffic can switch back and forth between them without interrupting a session or a VoIP call. In addition we get alerted if a client has a circuit issue so we can be proactive and get it repaired before it is service affecting to the client. In my role, I also deal with a lot of companies to configure B2B communications (EDI/XML/JSON). Of everyone I deal with, Big Leaf tech support is ALWAYS first in my mind of a company that will resolve my issue on the first call and within 5 minutes. They don't transfer me to someone smarter, or take down a note and have someone call back within 4 hours. They are always staffed with very knowledgeable support staff at the ready right now. This includes 10pm on a thursday as well as 3am on a Sunday. Their support is impressive in this day and age. In the five years they've been our SDWan provider we've only needed to call them five or six times. They have a great product and they support it amazingly well. **What do you dislike about Bigleaf Networks?** It's not free, but it's worth every penny. **What problems is Bigleaf Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dual fiber feeds from disparate vendors - load balanced. It has been the best experience of any tech / telecom service I have ever used. The service is incredibly stable. It ships plug and play, and you can literally set it and forget. On the off chance you have an issue, their support team has always been easy to reach and quick to assist and ensure you're back online. They also send proactive alerts if a router is at risk of failure so they can overnight a replacement to avoid downtime. They have even gone above and beyond when dealing with WAN issues that are beyond their scope of support. I have never even looked into another SD-WAN service and strongly recommend Bigleaf to every single customer. **What do you dislike about Bigleaf Networks?** Some customers raise questions on the throughput based subscriptions plans. I have never had an issue with this in real world use though. The QoS is exceptionally good and automatically prioritizes real time communications and other critical sensitive traffic. And if you saturate your througput regularly you'll be notified to consider increasing or otherwise addressing it. **What problems is Bigleaf Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bigleaf's SD-WAN's strong suit is the same IP failover. You never experience disruption with packet loss or interruption when switching WAN's. The WAN status and performance monitoring provides critical information in troubleshooting ISP issues. It helps avoid finger pointing so you know where to focus your attention to quickly resolve ISP / WAN issues. We are a MSSP that runs mostly via the cloud and having a solid internet connection is the most important thing to our business. The support is also top notch with most calls being answered immediately. Queries are usually resolved quickly and fully. We needed to have a load balanced network, and the ability to stay up and running if one of the providers dropped. There's a monthly fee associated with that, but it was reasonable. HOWEVER, you are capped at 100mpbs for the initial tier. If your network speed is more than that, get ready to pay out the nose for increased speeds. **What do you dislike about Bigleaf Networks?** Charging more to check a box in the network OS is BS. It costs them nothing to load balance a 300 mpbs connection vs. a 100. The 'upcharge' was so much I went out and just bought all of my own networking hardware. The Unifi hardware can ALSO load balance, and they don't charge you every month to do it. The cost savings of doing my own hardware vs. BigLeaf paid for the entire network upgrade in less than a year. After that it was all cost savings. Service works as advertised, but the service beyond the lowest tier is a huge rip off. **What problems is Bigleaf Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** The idea was to offer a business network that was always up. We had tenants where 24x7 access was required. Having a box that was plug and play was a huge selling point. Failover works as described, which is pretty standard with any Enterprise Firewall. But what sets them apart is their AI for load balancing, QOS, reduction in latency, and overall ease of implementation, using almost any combination of circuits, and everything managed on a single pane of glass for the large number of clients we support. Alert emails if there are any issues, they get resolved quickly. But the hardware is small in size. I do wish the billing was all one bill not three (Big leaf and the two internet providers) **What problems is Bigleaf Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Instead of just an unused backup internet line sitting and waiting for a disaster before it kicks in, the SD-WAN utilizes your primary and backup internet providers together for your daily internet traffic. This way, you get ROI for both investments. If one line goes down users don't even notice all internet traffic is routed to the line that is functioning. Once the other line returns, traffic is split between the two again. I can lose 2 out of 3 of these services and still be up and no one in the office would know anything is happening. Oh - and I would receive notifications as to which service was down. So helpful. Also - their Tech Support is responsive, fast, and smart. **What do you dislike about Bigleaf Networks?** If you elect to purchase the high-availability system (2 appliances rather than 1) you most likely will need to create a vLan on an intelligent switch to take the 1 connection coming in from your ISP and split it into 2 connections going into the 2 BigLeaf appliances. Our MSP did this for us. **What problems is Bigleaf Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We did not need to architect some complex failover solution for multiple ISPs.
