They make excellent products with varying purposes. They are easy to communicate with, and have a great field and in-house support system. Cradlepoint has a lot of good options, and their product can be used in a wide variety of industries. They really make it hard to want to use any other product. **What do you dislike about Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions?** Sometimes, their strengths are also their weaknesses - in trying to make a product that reaches a wide range of markets and uses, they can also be a little inflexible with their products. Coming from the perspective of a non-traditional Cradlepoint ecosystem user, they would do well to have a wider range of product and service offerings, perhaps even more modular in nature, for some of its more unique customers. Despite this, I have been included in discussions around future products and software that give me hope that flexibility is coming. **What problems is Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are entirely cellular-based. They serve as both our router and our connectivity gateway, and are one of the main components of our entire fleet. This didn't seem to be the intitial use case for Cradlepoint, but I can see that they are becoming more mindful of companies and use cases like ours. ### 2. The new cloud interface is full of options. **What do you dislike about Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions?** There is not buildin backup tool, they do have autosave keep running last good config. But this is not a backup. You can manually save a copy(download) on the management cloud or on the local login in. If you make a change and then want to look back to compare to a older config you have to have made a manual copy already. My solution was to use a script with an api. Why did I have work on the side of this software to add this? The other issue is the EOL of the product, I have modems which are aging, for LTE bands and unit failures, but are still very useful and working okay. But with the EOL of the product will force me to replace 40 units a few years before I need to, as I lose cloud mangment access altogether as well as security updates. Other vendors may drop a product to best effort with limited support. This brings up the cost for support is high after initial support time, Skin there are other products on the market that have longer life spans, they may not be as easy as Creadlepoint, but have Central management and longer horizons of usefulness. **What problems is Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** I do not have problems, I have Business needs and Cradlepoint helps address them; the need for edge connectivity as long as the WAN is on the public internet. I have sites on private connectivity for WAN and support basically advised not to do that. ### 3. A semi-novice user would not have any issues with getting their equipment properly setup in this interface. There are a number of features in the portal that can help you to fine tune your settings to make the device and service as robust and secure as you need it to be. CradlePoint's tech support is very easy to work with, helpful and extremely knowledgable about their products. Integration into my network as a secondary wifi service backup was not very difficult. The router has been frequently used many times at various construction sites within the organization. **What do you dislike about Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions?** All of my interactions with CradlePoint support have been positive and the equipment has been very reliable. They allow most of the common routing possibilities one would expect. and they just work. Competition in teh telemerty sector I work in are all functional but lock me into thier ecostructure. CP is more configurable in what can be done with them. **What do you dislike about Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions?** I miss the NCP overlay, I know there is a new replacement that does the same thing but I dont know much about because it is too expensive. I had to change to VPN tunnels which work fine but require more IT involvement than NCP did. As an early provider, we expected better pricing on licensing. As an experienced user. I used to be able to just tell them when a device failed and they would send one right out. By far, Cradlepoint is the best solution for mobile vehicles and vessels. **What do you dislike about Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions?** The only negative attribute I have experienced thus far with the Cradlepoint products is replacement part access. For example, every three years, I upgrade the Cradlepoint units inside our marine domes to utilize the newer Cradlepoint modems; occasionally, I will need replacement screws to remount the units into our domes. Not wanting to find these screws from a 3rd party locally, I wrote submitted a ticket to Cradlepoint's customer service (CCS) and received an interesting response. CCS did overnight the replacement parts I needed but then stated that if I wanted any further replacements, I would have to go through the 3rd party vendor from which we bought the original Cradlepoints. Although I understand the logic, the extra time we would have had to wait to receive these parts would have been a major issue with our companies operations. I may have an initial knee-jerk reaction to not finding something, but it was usually my fault. :-( **What problems is Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** - Patrol car routers also provide wifi for body-worn cameras (BWC's) to auto-upload video into the evidence locker, making this really easy for the deputies - Jail copper networking is limited, so a few routers of a more appropriate model were deployed in key parts of the jail to provide connectivity and also BWC auto-uploads where Meraki AP's could not be placed - Disaster recovery temporary deployments of routers where Internet was interrupted for days at locations which had to be connected 24/7 - We struggled with managing port forwarding at the Group level, but tech support assisted us with that to simplify deployment of surveillance devices ### 19. The devices have been very reliable.
