## Bento Reviews
 ### 1. Great Expense Tracking and Individual Cards

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maribeth R. | Office assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The upsides of Bento are tracking employees expenses and each employee having their own card.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

It took awhile to sometimes fund the account.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento keeps tracks of employee expenses.

 ### 2. Easy-to-use platform and stellar CS team!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 🎁 Danielle E. | Head of Customer Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento gives me the autonomy to publish educational resources in our platform at the moment of need for users, instead of trying to get an engineering resource assigned to each small project that comes up. We have saved a ton of time and internal resources because of Bento. It's been great to work collaboratively with other teams on new tooltips or guides that would benefit our customers; everyone is really excited to have this strategy at their disposal!

I have previous experience using digital adoption tools like WalkMe and I was pleasantly surprised at how much easier it is to build in Bento. My team and I do not have extensive coding backgrounds, and Bento has made it very easy to select elements and stay out of the source code, something I struggled with in previous tools.

All of that said, I think my absolute favorite part about Bento is my CSM, Meera! Having a CS background myself, I think sometimes my standards are a bit high, but Meera surpasses them every time. She is very quick to respond, answers all of my questions, and provides guidance and education so I can become an expert with Bento. I feel like she's an extension of our team, which has been absolutely wonderful.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

There are some features I noticed Bento does not have today that other DAP tools do, but they are constantly releaseing new features and incorporating AI into the tool which makes me excited for the future. Whenever I have feedback, my CSM is quick to share internally and fill me in on the latest product roadmap.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is helping us in a few areas:

1. Onboarding - Our new users are automatically greeted, offered a tour, and encouraged to complete our in-app onboarding guide before reaching out to CS. This has saved time during implementation and helped us educated senders we might not have reached otherwise.

2. Marketing Comms - We utilize popups and banners to promote upcoming webinar, events, company holidays/closures, etc. This helps ensure we're reaching our active senders with key information, which we can track through the analytics.

3. Tooltips - We're started adding tooltips to the platform to help with areas other customers have questions about, which are backed by support cases. Getting ahead of questions saves time for our teams and helps avoid customer frustration.

 ### 3. Bento is a core tool for our product team and as a designer.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cade V. | Senior Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I think the ethos of what I love about Bento is that, as a product designer, the tool allows me to directly influence our product experience without compromising design quality or requiring dev resources. Whether it's the adoption of a large feature, a quick announcement, or even a band-aid solution for a confusing area of the product (until our devs can get to it) -- bento makes it very easy to design, launch, and measure in-app guides and contextual solutions that customers can interact with immediately.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I don't have any strong dislikes. Bento is constantly innovating and issues seem to be resolved quickly.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento reduces the effort that goes into product education for our users. As a product org, we're able to meet users where they're at and test ideas faster knowing that we can deploy Bento guides so quickly.

 ### 4. Game changer for customer onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paola C. | Head of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento is an intuitive, easy-to-use tool for customer onboarding. What started as a small trial quickly became a company-wide excitement to integrate Bento into all our customer comms. We are now beginning to set up Bento for everything from subscription-specific onboarding to training reinforcement for advanced users.

Bento became a quick hit with Engineering when it became clear how little work was needed on their end (outside of the initial integration). Also, engagement is significantly higher than with our general newsletter communications. We're excited to see how Bento helps us continue to drive customer adoption!

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

No major dislikes. There has been a normal amount of bugs/initial deployment questions, but the Bento team has quickly addressed any issues that have come up. In terms of future roadmap, I'm excited to see Bento continue to build more robust reporting.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improve customer communications and drive user adoption.

 ### 5. Huge Value-Add for Implementation Teams Anywhere

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Easy to use, super responsive support team, game-changer for an organization with historically manual implementation processes. Allowed us to increase efficiencies across our internal teams & delights our customers.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

None at this time, excited to see how we can build out additional guides

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Decreasing time to value for our SaaS solution, organizes the implementation experience for our team & our customers.

 ### 6. Efficient onboarding tool for accelerated team performance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The best thing about Bento is its seamless integration and how ease it is to costumize the look and feel to match our product.
This level of integration and automation has empowered our team to work more autonomously, saving us precious time and resources wiht very minimal involvement of our development team. It allows us to test, iterate and target a specific set of users making sure the experience is personalized and valuable.

Additionally, the Bento team's outstanding customer support enhanced our experience by providing best practices and implementing new features that met our needs!

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I would like to see more features in the future - reporting is still a bit confusing, specially when targeting a specific set of users. As our product and team of product management grows it would be great to have more insights on how to manage several announcements at the same time (e.g. throttling).

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento has been an indispensable tool for us in creating guides and personalized product experiences that perfectly blend with our app. Thanks to Bento's capabilities, we have been able to avoid investing precious time and resources in developing these features in-house. Bento has been instrumental in maximizing our productivity and prioritizing product improvement efficiently.

 ### 7. Bento is supporting our move from hand held onboarding to customer self-serve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

In our organization, this tool is owned by the scaled customer success team. I like the functionality of how guides (Bento's version of the product tour) are organized in an everliving pop-out that our customers can quickly reference. The guides are easy to set up and the customer targeting is relatively intuitive.

Another thing we are very excited to start using is the rich content we can customize at the customer or user level. An example of this would be something like "Congrats Jane Doe! You successfully hired 10 people last week, but we noticed that 3 applicants got stuck in an application stage because 2 of your managers didn't have their calendars set up. Make sure you update their schedule!" This doesn't necessarily fit into the onboarding use case, but an example we'd like to try out.

We are also planning to use Bento to test some early versions of our product dashboard. Again, this is by no means the core use case, but this shows the flexibility of the product and the possibilities that exist.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Bento does not have mobile functionality, this is unique to our customer base which is primarily mobile first.

This tool has also taken us a while to implement because we did not get engineering buy-in prior to procuring Bento. The segment integration was seamless, but we needed new events and attributes built in either segment or bento (via JS snippet) to use the entire functionality of this product. Also, you are not able to trigger bento onboarding guides with track events, bento only allows users to kill guides when a track event occurs.

Our team found a hacky workaround for creating new attributes and events that will work in the short term, but I suggest that anyone that goes through the Bento procurement process have it sit in the product org or get sufficient buy-in from engineering to support any new attributes or events that have to be created. This is by no means a knock on the product but makes life a little bit easier when implementing the tool

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is helping us solve our hand-held customer onboarding approach and move to a self-serve motion. This is benefiting us by allowing us to move quickly to build out comprehensive walk-throughs of our core product features.

 ### 8. Easy to Deploy, Effectively Everboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dakota Q. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento has provided us with a seamless and straightforward way to onboard our new customers. Onboarding and account activation can take time and constant handholding, and Bento allows us to everboard our customers, meaning our customers are always learning. The ability to target specific segments and roles within our customer base has also been a game changer.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The only minor issue we have had is that we haven't been able to pull the data out of Bento and into our database. We are working on that, and the Bento team has been accommodating!

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we try to Scale our Customer success touchpoints with customers, a tool like Bento is necessary. As our customer base grows and our unique users need to have access to information around how to use new features and product updates, Bento made the most sense. It's allowing us to reach customers without increasing our headcount.

 ### 9. Bento has saved our small team tons of time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alastair W. | Senior Director of Product Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The Bento product is easy to use, and the Bento team has been great to work with! We've been able to set up relatively complex onboarding guides quite quickly. One possibly underappreciated aspect of using Bento is how easy it is to iterate and change things until you're satisfied with your onboarding flow. Via normal development, the same iterations would have taken weeks instead of hours. The Bento platform enabled our dev team to work on other projects. Bento gives you just the right amount of flexibility without being so complex that it's painful. It's also straightforward to integrate into your site. Finally, I appreciated the guidance and ideas from the Bento team, both via meetings and from website articles.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

There aren't many things to dislike; Bento has met our needs very well! The dashboard has a few UI bugs, but I'm confident they'll get taken care of over time. In the future, I'd love to see the Bento team offer "drip style" onboarding emails (currently, one "nudge" email is supported, which is a great start), a CSV export for all users and the steps they completed (to join with our data), and more text styling options. Finally, it would be great if onboarding and contextual guides had separate limits. Contextual guides are excellent, but since we've chosen a plan with a guide limit, it's hard to justify deploying anything other than onboarding guides since they are more powerful.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento solves a critical problem for our B2B SaaS app: ensuring new customers can get started easily. B2B onboarding is complex; it can require actions by several users, and steps can differ depending on a customer's situation. Bento enables us to build and deploy onboarding guides with minimal development overhead, allowing our team to work on other features.

 ### 10. A refreshing take on user onboarding and everboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan D. | Head of Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Embedding Bento elements into your app with styling that makes it seamless and functionality that shares data between Bento and your own database to integrate deeply.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Some of their app's features and UX are a tad raw and need further refinement. That said, the speed and responsiveness of their team builds confidence that the months to come will resolve much of this!

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are growing in our sophistication around onboarding and want to infuse our app's experience with growth and everboarding interactions. Bento's point of view as a product is well suited to be a partner along these lines, helping us quickly iterate and add to our onboarding without being blocked by engineering.

 ### 11. Simple to use and powerful features!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Polly L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

This app does not waste my time with font import/setup. I love the Inline style preview, so I don't have to publish to preview. With this, I can concentrate on content, targeting, and enhancing my growth experiments and strategy.

Love the customer support and responsiveness, especially during evaluation and onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

They are a new startup, I wish they provide more self-serve documentation so I don't have to bother customer support.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improve self-service experience and usage. Improving onboarding support for new users. Increase new features discovery.

 ### 12. Amazing, constantly evolving product to support onboarding and everboarding needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric P. | Co-founder & Chief Product Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento has systemized many of the best practices I've seen across several different SaaS products—something I'd always wanted to do, but could never prioritize as part of our engineering work. With a little configuration, Bento makes it really simple to deploy onboarding guides, helpful tips, and things that keep customers learning without leaving the product. Additionally, the analytics and notifications have made it easy to see how customers are following through on Guides, which we can tie to adoption.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I'd love to see a deeper integration with Segment to remove friction of deploying it in our product. That being said, this actually turned into a good exercise to force us to think about what we actually want to use to trigger Guides instead of using the same data we send elsewhere. Also, I'd love to see folders as the number of Guides grows. But we've developed a solid naming convention that keeps this at bay.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is helping to simplify and demystify the onboarding process for our customers. It's helped us give customers the tour of the house at the party... where the snacks are, where to find a drink, and where to go to the bathroom. I love the thought and prescriptive approach they've taken to different onboarding paths and have really enjoyed launching new features with guided tours alongside them—something that would have been very painful to do before. Ultimately, this has led to confidence in introducing new features and increased adoption of the product as a whole.

We rolled out a brand new user experience to 100+ customers without a hitch or any complaints. Success here was due to a seamless set of notifications, cross-product experiences, and phases that Bento enabled us to do across both the Classic and new experience.

 ### 13. Great all-in-one tool for launching informative customer guides in our product!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matty L. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento is a huge time saver for us, particularly for our engineering team, when it comes to launching things like "Getting Started Checklists" and even filling empty states with information inside of our product that we otherwise would've had to build internally.

Their team is extremely supportive whenever we have questions or need assistance. Plus, I feel like they genuinely consider our feedback, as they consistently come out with exciting new product updates/features that are relevant to our goals.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

There are a few minor usability quirks that we've hit when building out more complex branching guides, but everything we've hit has been addressed and resolved by the Bento team very quickly!

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a smaller team, we need to be very intentional about how we use our engineering resources and want to keep the team focused on product advancements. Bento has saved our team a ton of time by allowing us to create guides and specific product experiences that appear native to our app to the end user. Without Bento, we would have built these things internally and lost vital time to improve our product in other ways.

 ### 14. Fantastic Onboarding and Activation Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garrett P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento provides a Figma design file to plan your build and the user interface of building a Bento is intuitive. I built impressive dashboards in a matter of hours. We are excited to launch and see the lift on activation.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

No complaints. All issues were promptly handled by their growth team, ensuring we got set up properly.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onboarding checklists, training videos implementation, empty states, net promoter surveys, tutorials, and much more to come!

 ### 15. Intuitive and effective!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaustubh V. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I have loved how easy it is for Bento to integrate with our product. We were able to get up and running within a week and deploy our first guide. Working at a startup means iterating quickly, and Bento easily allows us to deploy guides and test what works. It looks great in our product and looks like it was built in-house! The support we have received from the team has also been fantastic, and they've been very receptive to our feedback and quick to solve any issues or answer questions.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

It would be great to see much more granular targetting and even the ability to have A/B testing built directly into the product. The reporting could also be a little bit more granular, with reporting built out on the Bento platform.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento allows us to tailor guides for our free trial customers and existing paying users. What this means is that we can focus on two different objectives from one platform - with onboarding guides for free trial users and adoption/upsell guides for existing customers. It also allows us to experiment and see what is working and what is not and fine tune our approach.

 ### 16. Bento let us build checklist-style onboarding really quickly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noel P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Ease of use, control over a key part of our user experience, and quick time to value (very minimal involvement of our software development team).

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Initial set-up required a call between their technical team and ours. To be fair, the call was quick and helped us get set up.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our software platform had no product onboarding; Bento let me create and launch one really quickly.

 ### 17. Two thumbs up for everboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento has helped us create a native-feeling onboarding experience that's easy to change and update on the fly. We switched off of a competitor because we weren't getting much value out of a "pop up" style onboarding experience. I really love Bento's thoughtful approach to onboarding, and although we've only been live for a few weeks we've already seen people make it through our guide to have meaningful results! I also appreciate the responsiveness of the Bento team - even though they're pretty small they're always shipping delightful improvements and are very open to feedback.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Dislike is too strong of a word! Their pricing options were a little confusing/opaque. It was also slightly tricky for our engineers to figure out how to set it up correctly in our product - more robust documentation would be helpful. I would love to see them lean more into the analytics side of things too - it's really exciting to see users progress through the guides so it would be cool to think about interesting insights they could provide with the data they have.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is helping us provide our customers with an onboarding experience that feels like our product, is consistent with our website messaging (even when it changes, which, as a startup...), and helps users accomplish meaningful goals.

 ### 18. Highly customizable, in-app onboarding experience tailored to each customer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

- Customization: Bento allows for highly customizable guides that allow for targeting specific users to get them the information they need when they need it. This also allows users to choose guides and learning paths that make the most sense to their use cases. I could go on here, but the simple fact is that I can feel confident in knowing users are getting the right information, at the right time.

- Support: The support we've had with the Bento team has been nothing short of top notch

-Ease of use: Picking up and running with Bento in regard to creation and implementation has been seamless. They offer a lot of options for how things appear in-app that can be done with or without help from the eng. teams.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

There isn't much to dislike at this point, I think instead the better way to phrase this is "What am I looking forward to them doing in the future?" In that regard, we're very much looking forward to deeper analytics and reporting on guide/user behaviors to help drive the adoption in-app. I think having a larger repertoire of guide options and overall more customization with how information is displayed.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is helping us develop our own version of self-service when it comes to account setup and onboarding. This helps free up time for our team to focus on other areas of our customer's journeys.

 ### 19. Really impressive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin S. | Director, Customer Success, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I think the biggest benefit for Bento remains the level of flexibility. For anyone that likes to control what customers see during onboarding, you are covered here. Down to persona, account, company, and even an import of specific tags...it is pretty incredible how flexible the control features and settings are. Additionally, this tool is very easy to pick up and use, particularly compared to other clunky onboarding tools.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Probably just a nit-picking item but having a huge library of onboarding examples could accelerate our own usage and design. Trust me, you are given some examples but there is probably room for more for inspiration.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento helps us onboard our customers more quickly, by providing a simple guide through their onboarding experience. We could always code in a first-time UX, but i'd rather my engineers focus on building the product itself.

 ### 20. Amazing onboarding tool with so much flexibility!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley C. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento takes on the heavy lifting so your engineering teams don't have to. It's super user-friendly and requires minimal dev effort to get it set up. Bento has several built-in features we used to configure the onboarding journey to match the experience we were looking to provide to our users, and this helped us spend more time focused on the onboarding journey itself. I love working with the Bento team, they're super responsive and quick to introduce new features as well.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I would love to see a new way of guiding users through some onboarding tasks directly inline - a bit like a product tour, where users don't have to jump between the guide and the app.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento helped reduce the number of spent around onboarding, across many different teams. Instead of having our engineering teams design and build out an onboarding experience in-house, we had far less work just integrating with Bento. It allowed us to spend more time delivering new features our customers were excited about. Also, we no longer have one of our CSM walk each of our customers through our complete onboarding process. Bento provides the basic guidance customers need to get their accounts set up, and our CSMs have more time to lead meaningful conversations around customer needs and goals.

 ### 21. Really user friendly onboarding tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ella C. | Customer Success Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The Bento set up itself is pretty straightforward, and the team are super helpful. It has a super clean look and sits nicely within our platform. We haven't been using it very long so yet to see how customers like it, but so far it's going really well

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Some more customisability on a couple of things would be nice, but not massively imprtant

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping onboard customers in an on-demand, personalised way

 ### 22. Easy, up-front buying experience and innovative platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendall P. | Head of Customer Onboarding & Implementation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The buying process was super easy. The platform itself was compelling because it gives you more than just an overlay. Will update this review as we use Bento more and more.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Nothing so far. Will update this review as we use Bento more and more.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main objective with using Bento is driving training, optimal setup, and adoption of our platform

 ### 23. Intuitive, Simple, & Powerful. Bento is the best Onboarding service on the market. No devs required!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos J. A. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento requires no training to use. It's so user-friendly that anyone can learn how it works by themselves in less than one day. Alternative software is either very complex or very expensive.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Bento could do better in providing a greater variety of "guide types". It has the core types: Onboarding, Tutorials, Announcements/Banners -- but a lightbox product tour would be a great addition.

**Recommendations to others considering Bento:**

Bento doesn't support Staging/Testing environments "out of the box", but there are easy workarounds

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a product manager, I know very well how tricky user onboarding can be. It's nearly impossible to get it 100% right, and one must constantly be iterating to make it better and better. With Bento, there's no need to bring in developers in order to make quick changes and AB test for optimizing your onboarding flow.

 ### 24. A force multiplier for onboarding and adoption

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben L. | CX Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I love how intuitive and simple Bento is to use to launch in-app product enablement guides as well as feature announcements.

The ability to get super nuanced and personalize various journeys across your user base is very helpful for a multitude of teams — e.g. Implementation teams for personalized onboarding, CSMs driving adoption for certain accounts, and Digital Customer Success/Tech-Touch launching 1:many onboarding and adoption programs.

On top of this, the team behind Bento is very customer-centric and has been a pleasure to work with every time I've interacted with any member of the company.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Honestly, nothing to dislike. Bento is an early-stage startup so obviously they won't have every single use case covered but they are constantly innovating and shipping new features, all while ensuring the customer/user needs are always being considered. I've personally felt this ever since having the opportunity to work with this team and product.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to launch a dynamic new user guide (in-app) was a game-changer and not only helps new users orient themselves around the product and sets them up for success, but it also removed the need for CSMs to manually deliver new user training sessions. Or at least helps new users get a foundational understanding so that when they do meet with their CSM, the conversation can be focused more on strategy and driving value vs. basic product training.

 ### 25. Streamlined Onboarding 🎉

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kai . | Senior Customer Success Advocate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The customization of the tool and the UX are really impressive!

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Systems can get complicated really fast, but they're always working on new features that improve on that.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento helps us onboard clients seemlessly!

 ### 26. We've gone from white-glove, enterprise-y deployments to low-touch on-boarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Creating and launching guides is super fast and easy. Notifications give us a sense of how well users are doing in our onboarding process.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Nothing really. I want more per-customer analytics, but the product is advancing quickly, so I'm sure they'll deliver that soon, too!

**Recommendations to others considering Bento:**

The power of Bento is in iterating on your guides a lot. You can put something out there, see how a few customers do, and rapidly iterate. Building it yourself seems like a good path if you expect to get it right immediately and never touch it. But you'll never get it perfect right away.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We went from high-touch to self-serve on-boarding with Bento. Before Bento, every customer had 5+ meetings with someone on CS. Now, many customers on-board themselves, and CS dedicates more time to the ones that are having difficulty.
