What do you like best about BCF Export?

It contains issue descriptions, screenshots, comments, authors, creation date, linked objects, view section planes, and errors and clashes in objects or systems.

The BCF also helps to resolve coordination and interconnection issues.

Doesn't require any 3D space or geometries like IFC or NWC formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BCF Export?

FIle versions are hard to navigate and document, there is no cloud based navigation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BCF Export solving and how is that benefiting you?

We navigate and export clash reports and coordination markups and share them with clients for MEPF utilities. A BCfier addin/tool is available for adding issues of clashes etc.

Project base point and survey point coordinates are exported to subcontractors to help in the geo-coordination of models that are in IFC formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BCF Export?

BCF export is basically a file format used to export coordination models information and data without actually exporting a 3D model.

It contains information like issue description, snapshots, comments, creation date etc which helps to communicate information through your 3D model as IFC only transfers the 3D geometry and structures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BCF Export?

One of the major drawbacks of BCF is it is file based which involves older versions of the file also being circulated.

What do you like best about BCF Export?

BCF can be used to deliver the information of all coordination related queries. The major advantage of using BCF rather than NWC is that it won't require 3D space. It was majorly be used for issue traking in the building information model. It is primarily used in my organization for defining views of a building model and the information related to the collisions or errors in the specific object in a view. There are several plug ins with this format to be used in the various other modelling BIM software such as Tekla, Revit, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BCF Export?

The major thing i dislike about BCF is that it is completely a file based format which can easily be either an older version also. Although now there are some major up gradations over a last few years but it is not as easy handling as the other type of formats available in the market right now. What problems is BCF Export solving and how is that benefiting you?

Through the use of BCF we are solving major issues of MEP clash coordination using Revit software. The BCFier tool can be used by a Revit modeler to add issues regarding to the auditing of a particular 3d space which can be later converted into file format which is individual of that 3d space.
