We have spent weeks reviewing all User Research platforms. Ballpark has stood out for their well rounded and industry leading approach. They have all the features we could ask for at a really competitive price. They were very communicative and have really helped us get a full overview and chance to experience their platform before signing up. They went the extra mile.

I like to give a balanced review, by highlighting any issues, but there weren't any. It couldn't have gone smoother.

At the end of our contract with another user testing platform we needed to find a new home with the best feature set for a competitive price. Ballpark has really stood out with the easy of use, it looks like it was designed by User Experience designers that do a lot of user testing themselves and they wanted the best platform to do it and realised they should create one.
We need to carry out a lot of research and this seems to be the best tool to do it.

**What do you like best about Ballpark - User Research and Surveys?**

Recently the company I work for were looking to set up a prototype testing tool to help us gather user feedback during the design process. We compared it to a number of other tools and what stood out to us was how helpful and quick the team were at responding to our questions. They went above and beyond to help us set up a number of tests using their software and guided us on how to optimise our tests. The software itself was very easy to use and they are constantly adding new features.

When testing larger prototypes there are a few things you need to do to reduce the file size for it to work. But this is to be expected with all tools.

**What do you like best about Ballpark - User Research and Surveys?**

Ballpark's platform is flexible and versatile. While not currently state of the art when it comes to all of their output, they provide some unique features, specifically for figma testing, that set them apart from competitors. They are constantly iterating on their tools, mainly on AI summarization, in order to provide more actionable and automated results that have great quality and utility. The platform is extremely user friendly and I was able to jump in and create a project right away. The support of the team was pivotal in refining and executing a more efficient version.

**What do you dislike about Ballpark - User Research and Surveys?**

They do not have the ability to record mobile screens due to being web-based and not having an app that would allow for this feature. This is unfortunate as many users we'd like to get feedback from use mobile to access our website. While it is not currently a feature, they are not closed off to this in the future, which is great

They offer an all-in-one testing platform that allows us to get qualitative and quantitative studies completed using their extremely accessible and versatile user panel

- Recordings don't show the whole UI, so some user behaviors are not visible.
- Recording viewing is a bit inconvenient (if I want to check each section separately, it opens a video in a modal; it would be more convenient to view them on the page).

Nothing it's very good so far, it would be better if you could auto connect to google sheets but it's not a big deal

I used Ballpark HQ whilst at a government role in Australia for around 2 years across two separate projects for low and high fidelity wireframe testing. It is an exceptional tool and I will use it in all my roles moving forward. Super easy to use and it is clear BallparkHQ have spend a lot of time thinking through the usability as it is hands down a dream to setup and run testing projects with it.

While the Figma prototype integration is great it would be nice to have integration for more complex prototypes, such as prototypes built in more advanced prototyping tools.

I'm a founder bootstrapping my business, and I really need to find the right demographic.

Ballpark helps me pinpoint the right groups to get feedback on my new app.

 There are a number of out of the box surveys with attractive graphics that you can quickly use.

 You can also include a request for email address in your survey to build your subscriber list from your survey participants.

 The survey summaries are easy to read and you can save your raw data.

Not really a dislike but m looking forward to some of the advanced features on their roadmap, which are not yet implemented.

The UI ix extremely easy to operate. I got my first survey built in like 20 minutes. It feels almost too easy to release.

Because the UX is so slick, there are a couple of custom options that I'd prefer to see -- like multiple questions on a single page.

I like how pratical and easy to use it is. Use it previously to test a prototype to a early stage startup. I think it has enormous potential to allow founders to test their products in a large crowd while giving them the awareness on how important user feedback really is.

**What do you dislike about Ballpark - User Research and Surveys?**

I think it's really expensive and that there should be a plan to stacks up on the price according to the type of business you have. No competitors of Ballpark does this and that's precisely why I defend this would be a great idea - Ballpark would cover a need in the market, on a platform tailored not only for designers, but also for founders, that will understand the need of the product and that need would grow with their experience and with the product. If we want a more conscious decision making, that involves design and data, this is definitely a mission that Ballpark should have.

I was imprssed with how much Ballpark has to offer and how it enables product and design teams to get valuable customer insights that will facilitate the decision making proccess for product/feature prioritization. Ballpark enables us to focus efforts on the features that customers are looking for.

Sometimes the tool can feel a bit overwhelming and difficult to find exactly what you need, because it has so many capabilites, but this is also a postive thing, because I believe it's just a matter of getting more familiar with the tools and then be able to fully benefit from them.

Setting up a new project is super easy and quick. Provides easy to edit templates which makes it even easier to complete. 
Results are provided in a clear and easy-to-view format.
Once we created a project providing it to users was super simple by just providing a URL. 
Customer Support is quick and friendly! Had a login issue and they resolved it promptly

Still a fairly new user, my only complaint so far is I would like to be able to view the results from an archived project. Currently, you need to unarchive to view the results.

Allows my team to quickly set up a survey or user testing to send out to our customers. This is a benefit as it saves time from us completing moderated testing and allows the customers to provide truthful anonymous answers. It allows us to drill down into issues and what our customer's pain points are.

I met it by chance but he changed the way of approaching the research and user test phase in the company. it is a very versatile tool for multiple tasks, very simple using its drag&drop components and above all fast in setting the search recipients

The team at Ballpark have produced a great, user friendly product to allow individuals newer to the concept of user testing more accessible and self-servable. It's great that you can get recordings of users, and detailed insights from a bank of existing target users without the usual fluff, fuss and expense.

Nothing yet, maybe some tools to support mobile user analysis would be useful to see in future (this is probably already in the works!)

Ballpark's ability to quickly provide insights that inform design decisions has been invaluable to me. One of the primary reasons we invested in Ballpark was to enhance our confidence in the solutions we were developing. I can confidently state that Ballpark has streamlined the design process by providing timely answers to critical questions, enabling us to move forward seamlessly.

A good example of Ballpark being one step ahead, is they released the ability to check permissions for prototypes, which was something that I realised I needed after I made the error and noticed users were not filling in my test.

I would not say 'dislike' but more of a request. I would love to have custom templates to help move that bit faster in getting out surveys / user tests. Currently I am duplicating old tests/ surveys I have done in the past.

- I can quickly and easily validate designs to make sure we're 'designing the thing right'. I just hop into Ballpark whenever I need to and get a test or surevy whipped up and sent out within 20 minutes
- The pool of participants and filtering options mean I'm confident that we're getting feedback from relevant people
- Being able to send a test/survey link to our exisiting users
- The communication from the lovely people of Ballpark is always spot on!

It's hard to think of anything that stands out as a dislike! The only thing I can think of is when reviewing responses that contain audio and/or video, it can be a little difficult to flick through them quickly as you need to click into each individual response.

As a UX Designer, I need to validate if my designs are actually going to solve the problem the user is having (to create a successful product). Through Ballpark, I can test out my designs to check if they work well and are useful and usable for people. With filters, I can also make sure those people have similar demographics to our users to maximise our confidence in the results.

Previosuly we used Google surveys and the biggest benefit from Ballpark has been the credebility earned. 
The tool looks professional when we put it in front of users and therefore we end up receiving much higher response rate.

Takes a bit longer than Google surveys to get started, so I would only purchase if you plan on running surveys with a specific goal in mind and with a need for high response rate

Probably one of the easiest and most straighforward ways to create a (UX) survey. I also like the conditional features where it sends you to a new question depending on your answers which allows you to build quite complex questionaires. Crucial for us as well is the seamless integration with Figma. We've been using it a lot across many different tasks and its been a pleasure so far!

Still early in the product lifecycle so there are things that you might want to do that you can't or bugs to be ironed out, but the team has been very responsive and fast at fixing things you bring to their attention.

Ballpark allowed me to easily setup and conduct a prototype test for a reasonable cost.  The platform is actually very intuitive compared to others I've tried and was the right value for my needs.  I run ad hoc user testing so the monthly billing approach was appropriate.

**What do you dislike about Ballpark - User Research and Surveys?**

Analysis and downloads are paywalled for advanced subscriptions.  That's very annoying considering what I need.  My data should be my data - seems like a devious interaction.  I think there could be better transparency with recruitment.  I'm not sure where they recruit from and I don't have the details of that process.

Sometimes there are limitations to functionality because the service is on the newer side, but foundationally, everything we need is available. It's not necessarily a con, but more that there are exciting new features that come out regularly as the software continues to be developed.

We need access to users so that we can conduct user research. Ballpark gives us that access and makes the process of interviewing, surveying, and completing user research easier.

Even though it's recently born, I think it offers a really nice experience in building your user test even if you never used such tools before. It has a really nice integration with Figma that I use a lot and it's wonderful to also be able to set and control the user journey thtough the interfaces. I really love the depth of characteristichs that can be choosen for the screening process and the summary of each test is done really well. It helps me a lot during the presentations of the results and in poitining out the insights. We also have an open chat with them were we can ask for support: they are always quick to response and really helpful.

For now, the only things that could help me more during tests revisions is to fastforward a video response: right now you need to watch the entire video. It's not a big deal but it would sure help me in analyzing lots of responses

I've been using Ballpark for a few years now in different teams and companies and it has been fundamental for both defining operations and following good practices. It has streamlined the research projects allowing for a larger audience which, in my experience, allowed us to increase the trust teams such as marketing and business have in UX Research.
They are also very flexible and open to suggestions: I was never without a feedback and solution for longer than 3h.

Up until this point I do not have negative comments to make about Ballpark.

It made surveys and usability tests that would normally consume at least 4 weeks of the team's time easy and effective, being able to perform the full test (from planning to execution and analysis) in about 4 days. Because of that we have been able to advocate for more and better user-centric mindset across the company.

A nice UI and a great builder, along with a great customer support, made the onboarding experience quite easy. There are many factors you can choose for your panel and we never had any issue to find a valid tester. We've been using it for a year now (on 4 different research projects) and we can all say that we're quite happy with it. The guys of Ballpark also really care about users feedback.

We still get some bug from time to time, but nothing unbearable. The customer support is always there to help.

Possibility to conduct unmoderated studies, which is helpful in situations where there are different timezones and schedules to syncronize.

Some of the recordings we got were corrupted; the video was not visible and sometimes inaudible. This data needed to be discarded. We had to recruit more participants to account for potential corrupted recordings we could not analyze.

As mentioned in the previous quesiton, Ballpark is facilitating the process of conducting qualitative studies across multiple timezones by an unmoderated setup. Furthermore, it is overall easy to use. It is also very helpful to have the possibility to recruit participants via the tools' panel, or to have your own sample. Their support team is one of the highlights! very responsive and helpful.

They are excellent at what they do, always growing and every release is making the product better. It is easy for anyone to use, support is top notch and they care about their clients. One differentiator is no code snippets to conduct surveys with videos and no downloads so clients and people are more likely to take the test/surveys, etc.

Anything I disliked slowly gets improved without me saying much.  They know what their clients want and are clear on their own strategy it seems and you can tell as it grows.

- extensive test options, which eliminates the need for multiple tools. From simple questions to heatmaps, preference tests, etc
- autogenerated summaries - the reporting process has never been so simple
- its user-friendly interface - navigation is a breeze, both for seasoned researchers and novices
- tons of filters to screen participants
- extra clear (and fair) credit system
- lots of great features are going to be implemented in the future 

But what I like the most about Ballpark is their customer support. Both Rory, our customer success manager, and Murat, the founder, were incredibly responsive to every minor issue we encountered. Thanks a lot, it means a lot.

I personally lacked custom screening options, however, Ballpark recently introduced this feature, so I am not even sure, what to mention.

Ballpark is simple and easy to use. Setting up a survey is a breeze with a variety of templates to get started with. The interface is clean and intuitive. Ai-powered insight is a nice feature that generates summaries of user responses. Their very responsive customer support team is only a Slack away. They keep us updated with new releases and updates.

The AI summary is amazing!! I always read through all answers, but sometimes as a refresher or before I have time to read everything, I can quickly generate the summary and it's always been accurate. 

Also, though it is a young tool, Ballpark is constantly improving and listening to their users. I like the transparency of their portal for upcoming changes, and that you can vote for features.

I love that there are unlimited seats on the platform so that we can share results with any stakeholders without extra costs.

I do wish we could have more open projects on the Business tier, though I understand there need to be differences between tiers. Any other flaws I have seen with it, I generally send in feedback via their portal, and I can also track what upcoming changes are on the roadmap.

When I was searching for a survey tool, I extensively researched numerous options. Out of all the choices available, Ballpark emerged as the obvious winner. Firstly, it is incredibly user-friendly and visually appealing which make the job of creating surveys a joy. The transparent pricing and unlimited team members have enabled me to seamlessly integrate Ballpark across our product and marketing teams. The survey summaries are presented in a clear and concise manner, making the analysis process a breeze. One of the key reasons I'd recomend Ballpark are the team behind it as they actively seek feedback and have a well-defined roadmap for future development.

Difficult to find fault, but to help track usage it would be great to have an audit of all the surveys you have published.

Ballpark has a very strong brand identity - I was impressed just reading their website, initially. I felt like they know who they are and communicated their value proposition so clearly. Upon using the product in a trial, we were impressed by how intuitive everything is - from setting up surveys via template or custom to the experience of the participants (no barriers for them to complete the surveys). We've had really high participation because of the great UX for our customer respondents.

Nothing that I dislike - it is growing as a product and I am excited that they just added screener functionality (that would've been the only thing we really needed)!
