**What do you like best about Azure IoT Central?**

Thing i would point out is the availability of service for people who want to learn more about it. When i first started to learn about IoT Azure was the great place for it. Straight forward I could delve into tutorials and examples found in documentation. I was particularly interested in Azure's IoT Hub and there was an example for every common programming language (C#, Java, Javascript, Python...). Entire chain from reading data on sensor to storing it in any kind of storage in Azure was straightforward to do.
At enterprise level i find that there is a lot of flexibility regarding the prices of different services, it is easy to fit any kind of business into just about right pay tier. My company has different IoT services on Azure and we could fit all into right category for paying. Best out of these are the pay as you use services which are great for mini jobs (very cost effective).
Last thing i want to mention here is Azure's App Service which can host variety of apps. Using Visual Studio is plain easy to publish an application to app service. There is great support for .Net and we had a situation where we had to upgrade our SDK to newer version. After updating the local repository it was once again enough just to re-publish the application and all was taken care of automatically!

**What do you dislike about Azure IoT Central?**

We had a couple of situations where it was difficult to set up debugging of web applications on Azure, because the logs are in our opinion not clearly documented. Also some parts about IoT Hub are not clear even with documentation, but it was overcome-able.

**What problems is Azure IoT Central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very big one actually. It enables us to connect thousand of sensors on manufacturing machines to a Hub where all data is processed and stored into multiple database systems. Then it enables us to deploy our applications and web jobs very easily. In the end it results with very complex solution for a very complex problem, but Azure has so far excelled for it.

  ### 6. A lot of help and customisation available on azure iot hub with streaming

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faraz S. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure IoT Central?**

Testing software, azure function, stream analytical job those services are user friendly and there is a lot customization and help available and also logging all information if i got any error so it's very helpful.
When i go with iot hub there is many way to communicate and process the data , once you will configure iot hub than you integrate stream analytical job to save data in azure sql server ,In stream analytical job has many feature to process json , docx , xml kind of data ,you can write own JavaScript functions to process or decode your iot data if you want to process or embed your logic in stream analytical job.
But i should mention stream analytical job in too costly service please need to thing about cost.

Another way to process the iot hub , we have server less azure function where is more functionality and function available like azure iot hub trigrre, iot event hub .In case of iot hub we can use iot hub trigger by grouping to merge or group the iot information and also you can store information of data in sql ,mysql , or other database structures.

**What do you dislike about Azure IoT Central?**

just only one thing downsizing of iot hub there is 5s water mark delay just need to minimise that delay.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure IoT Central:**

Reduce the water mark delay.

**What problems is Azure IoT Central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oil gas industry and traffic lights monitoring, there is only one disadvantage water mark delay.

  ### 7. It made system integrations possible for my THE CORE™ HYPER VX-1 SYSTEM™ : OSIRIS ONE™ A.I.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent የአማልክት ፈቃድ M. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure IoT Central?**

The ability to integrate all my devices, industry-focused application templates for retail, healthcare, government, and energy,
Other features include: support for IoT edge devices and module deployments, for customers to deploy cloud workloads directly onto connected devices; plug-and-play support for faster device development and connectivity; ability to save, load, and re-use applications; options for exporting data to other Azure services; support for single applications with multiple tenants; and custom user roles for control of data, actions, and configurations in the system.

**What do you dislike about Azure IoT Central?**

1 .The inability to have it operational and smoothly with Ubuntu and Ubuntu servers and Huawei's Harmony operating system devices.
2. A fragmented ecosystem of standards, devices, and services. Wi-Fi’s power requirements and range constraints limit its suitability to IoT sensors and tags that are meant to run on batteries or relay information over long distances.
3.Inherently weak security. IoT endpoints often lack the hardware capabilities to support security best-practices, such as digital certificates.
4. A lack of interoperability between devices, causing extensive system integration i.e. Huawei Chips

**Recommendations to others considering Azure IoT Central:**

Its the perfect Iot solution for current and future device's operating systems, integration as well as makes it easy for interoperability of different platforms and at the ‘cloud platform’ layer, Microsoft Iot Central can provide everything required to build an IoT solution without the need to invest in costly and fault-prone infrastructure that’s difficult to scale .Azure IoT Central is the one service you’ll need to connect end devices, both new and existing, to the cloud and build simple and straightforward applications to deliver insights to decision-makers.

This service was designed to be simple. There are several prebuilt templates for popular use cases in various industries (e.g. patient monitoring in healthcare, inventory management in retail, etc.) available to speed up the development.

App platform allows customizing user roles, access and configuration for both security and usability. The device management module enables device monitoring and remote management, including problem detection and remote reconfiguration.

And finally, Azure IoT Central allows you to integrate your IoT application with the existing business infrastructure and other services .

**What problems is Azure IoT Central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the inability which i had of not being able to get all eGovermnment devices working in a uniform way and getting any easy flow of data to the main core of my system .As we work with our international federal partners, we find that IoT Central networks are being deployed in an ad hoc way: agencies want to fix a specific problem, such as better tracking of supplies, so they buy a specific IoT-based system. Later they are in need of an IoT Central capability for something different, such as on-base security, so they procure a separate system. Although each deployment works for that particular use case, what they end up with is multiple, uncoordinated gateways, expensive cable pulls, additional switches and several applications to manage.

  ### 8. Good for Knowledge ,Architecture & End to End IoT Learning

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure IoT Central?**

The most important feature of the product is that it provides very strong security standards. In addition, having detailed documentation about the product allows you to learn everything about the product. In addition, the product is very easy to integrate and implement into your system.

**What do you dislike about Azure IoT Central?**

The only thing I can say about the product is the pricing model. This model is not as flexible as its competitors.

**What problems is Azure IoT Central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The highly robust and scalable Azure IoT can be easily deployed to manage and run any IoT infrastructure (messaging, notifications, business rule engine, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence) you need. It also integrates well with broader Azure offerings and other open source tools. Security is a professional and the user base is growing. Another advantage is geo-availability, especially if you need to support different requirements such as GDPR or China.
