## About Auth0
Auth0 takes a modern approach to Identity, providing secure access to any application, for any user. Safeguarding billions of login transactions each month, Auth0 delivers convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation. Auth0 is part of Okta, The World’s Identity Company™. Auth0 lets you quickly integrate authentication and authorization for web, mobile, and legacy applications, with new Fine Grained Authorization (FGA) that goes beyond role-based access control. Authenticate users across all applications with a customized, secure, and standards-based single login. Universal Login connects users to a central authorization server. Credentials aren’t transferred across sources, which boosts security and protects against phishing and credential stuffing attacks. OAuth 2.0 recommends that only external user agents (like the browser) be used by native applications for authentication flows. Auth0’s Universal Login achieves this while also enabling SSO.

Sometimes the documentation is a bit outdated, or some features get left behind in new versions of libraries.

Largely very reliable, and very extensible via a well thought out extensibility model. Their custom rules and web-hooks are by far the best feature of their product offering.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

They have had 2 outages in the last year. This is per se not bad, but both were lengthy (a bit > 1 hour each). Their documentation can become out of date, so it is very important to read over the documentation for a feature very carefully to make sure you are getting the most current documentation.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a multi-tenant SaaS provider, we only use auth0 as a middleware between our customers and ourselves to provide authentication with identity providers. For this purpose, it has served our needs well.

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I like Auth0's powerful flexibility and high customizability. It supports multiple authentication protocols and methods, meeting the needs of different types of applications and users. Whether it's traditional username-password login, social account login, or passwordless login, it can be easily implemented, providing developers with great flexibility. Additionally, Auth0's customizability allows me to tailor login pages and access control rules according to the company's brand and business logic. For example, I once easily adjusted the layout, colors, and font styles of a login page for an e-commerce platform, making it highly consistent with the brand image while saving a lot of front-end development time. Auth0 can also seamlessly integrate with various front-end and back-end frameworks, significantly shortening the development cycle and reducing technical risks.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Enhancing the onboarding process with more interactive tutorials or guided setup wizards could help streamline this process for newcomers.

Our company serves as governement's digital transformation agency that is mandated to transform Indonesia procurement systems. I love using Auth0 because it simplifies the complex task of managing individual client tenants. ### 30. A dependable authentication platform that helps us move faster at LiveEasy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul G. | Senior Software Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Working at LiveEasy, I’m constantly bouncing between backend tasks, fixing odd edge cases, and trying to keep the homeowner and partner experience smooth. Auth0 has been one of those tools that slips into the background in a good way. I plug it into a Django service, write a few lines, and suddenly I’m not worrying about password resets or a shaky login flow anymore.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Once you go beyond the basics, Auth0 does start to feel a bit heavier. Some of the advanced configurations require extra time to understand, and the documentation sometimes skips the parts you actually need when customizing things at a deeper level .

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth0 has helped us at LiveEasy by letting us focus more on building the moving and home-management experience rather than getting stuck maintaining authentication logic. With multiple partners and various user-facing touchpoints, having a stable identity system really matters.
Instead of writing custom auth code for every service, we plug into Auth0 and get a consistent flow across our platform. This saves development time, reduces potential security risks, and lets us ship updates faster. For a team that wants to keep improving the product experience, offloading identity management to a platform we can trust has been a big win.

The thing to dislike is that it does not provides the roles and scopes in a easy way like Okta or anyother IDP.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It resolves the problem of managing all the users of my tool by me and along with that its helps in securing my API's by providing Auth infrastrucure.

  ### 36. Great Solution for modern authentication needs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishna S. | Senior Software Engineer, Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Easy to integrate it with various applications and frameworks.
Great user interface and clear documentation for developers.
Save time by eliminating the need to build authentication from scratch.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The learning way is a bit high for developers.
Integration with certain legacy system can be challenging.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In one of our Kong Gateway project we are using Auth to manage customer identities and control access to our APIs, It simplify authentication, save development time and reduce security risk.

  ### 37. Fast to Integrate, Scales Well, and Affordable for MVPs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roger F. | Development Manager UK Qualifications and Assessments, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

It's extremely quick to integrate a good security model into a new product ahead of an MVP. It then also scales nicely as the application grows. The free tier also allows early demos, and the Pro price is extremely affordable for a new business idea.

The UI/UX is very clear, and the documentation and starter apps make getting started in a fairly complex area very simple.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

It can be hard to get the exact user experience you want around password resets using the Universal Login, though customisation of this is not hard. But it does mean that, for instance, I have implemented setting a new password for new users in my app rather than relying on auth0 because there's no clean way to direct to my app afterwards.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Auth0 as my goto when doing demos of new product ideas for clients, and in my own solutions. AuthN and AuthZ is a pain to do yourself and integration with Auth0 takes this whole area off the board and makes it possible to build secure prototypes and MVPs very easily. Also, because it can be configured from Terraform it forms part of a CI pipeline very easily.

  ### 38. Efficient User Authentication, Minor Setup Hurdles

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishith J. | Devops intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I use Auth0 to manage authentication and user access for web applications. What I like most about Auth0 is that it makes authentication feel much more manageable and secure without forcing me to build everything from scratch. The login flows, password resets, MFA, social login, and token handling are already well structured, so it saves a lot of development time. Auth0 gives a ready made and secure way to manage users, protect routes, and control who can access different parts of the application.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

One thing that could be improved in Auth0 is the initial setup and configuration. The platform is powerful, but some parts can feel more complicated than expected, especially when setting up callbacks, allowed URLs, roles, permissions, tenants, and token settings. The initial setup was manageable, but it was not completely effortless. For a basic login flow, Auth0 is fairly easy because the documentation and SDKs give you a quick starting point. The harder part comes when you need to configure callback URLs, logout URLs, token settings, etc.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth0 handles authentication and user access securely, saving me time from building login flows, password storage, and access control. It manages users, secures routes, and controls application access effectively.

  ### 39. Streamlined, Secure Authentication with Flexible Social Logins and SSO

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vidhan P. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

It simplifies authentication and identity management through a secure and developer friendly platform. The implementation process is relatively streamlined and the platform supports multiple authentication methods such as social logins and sso which improves both security and user experience

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

While the platform is powerful understanding certain authentication flows and security configuration may require additional learning and technical expertise

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves problem of building and managing secure authentication and identity systems from scratch. Many applications struggle with implementing secure login systens

It provides centralized identity platform that simplifies authentication access management and security implementation

  ### 40. Enterprise Auth for Consumer Developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The ease of integrating enterprise level features like Single Sign-On (SSO) is impressive.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The docs are outdated for a few things. The lock.js is too large of a download for users.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging users in across multiple domains.

  ### 41. Easy to integrate with an attractive UI/UX to boot

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George P. | UX Designer, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The best part of Auth0 is that you get everything from Social login to 2 factor authentication. We had to migrate existing users to the new platform and we took advantage of the password -less login

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The UI is pretty unchangeable. It would be nice to change the styling without overriding CSS (not recommended).

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We tried all sorts of solutions including custom built (aka copy pasting stuff) and other plugins/services. Auth0 was one of the few services with a host of tools from authentication to social login to CRM integration. This meant a lot less time spent on using/creating a solution for each part and instead using auth0 to solve all the issues.

Also, as a designer, their analytic backend is pretty sweet.

  ### 42. An awesome authentication system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Auth0 really provided a boost in development time and was a good solution to our authentication problems, have nice features like great customizability for emails, login pages etc. I like how easy it is to setup users in auth0. If it was any easier I wouldn't have a job anymore. It is that easy.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Their system is not stable, they treat customer not good at all. If it is down like recently can affect your business.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Auth0 is perfect for taking care of your users. It saves passwords, usernames, emails, etc. You can limit what they can do and everything!

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth0 allow you to get different ways to login to your project very fast. It saved me time developing all that integrations by my side, so, for me, save time is the biggest benefit of use Auth0

  ### 43. Frictionless authentication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Sr. Android Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I like the variety of technologies supported by Auth0

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

There is still a learning curve, but not as bad as previously thought.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

There are many options for integrating Auth0. If you are wondering about whether you can maintain a secured solution, Auth0 can help mitigate this risk.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Auth0 for web and Android solutions.

  ### 44. Auth0 helped us to improve the customer experience through the adoption of a standard authentication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio A. | Arquitecto Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Auth0 gave us the peace of mind of having a secure and reliable platform with which we resolved, and will resolve, the future challenges in identity issues.

We admire the many code samples that you provide, from the product integration tutorials for the most known technologies (and not so much) to the examples of how to write a rule or a custom database script.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

All Auth0 documentation would be available in Spanish.
The costs for business customers are a bit high.
For large organizations like ours it is necessary that you provide Long Term Support (LTS) because it is very difficult for us to follow the dynamics that you have for changes and deprecations of features or libraries.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Auth0 is the best option!

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A recurring problem before using Auth0 was to enable a new user repository to an application, this task took us weeks of work. We can now solve directly on the console with a few clicks and without the need to involve the development sector responsible for that application.

Reducing vulnerabilities in the login flow was something we never thought we would solve, now Auth0 allows us not to worry about these issues.

The adoption of the platform reduced from one month to one week (or even days) the time that we used for authentication and authorization in each project.

We reduced the costs in the projects due to the savings in development time that we dedicated to the security of each application.

  ### 45. Auth0 is readymade solution and saves a lot of time from developer's perspective.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikram K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Multitennant support by auth0 is the best. It fits my need.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Nothing as of now. Still new to auth0 and yet to discover a huge area.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were developing a delivery app for customers, where we decided to make use of auth0, as it has a lot of integrations ready. Which will save our development time.

Benefits we had was logging in with gmail and facebook.

  ### 46. So easy to get up and running

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregory J. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I really liked how easy it was to get started using Auth0 in my .Net Blazor application. Auth is such a pain in the neck in single page applications and Auth0 provides quality libraries and easy to follow instructions to get auth up and running and most importantly..out of your way :) The free plan is generous enough to get me off the ground with my new application without incurring any expenses.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

I think it would be great if there were some kind of tool to show you exactly which features you are currently using and which might be unavailable when the free tier expires. At the same time, I don't believe I was using any non-free features...So maybe they do have that!

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to have identity in my .Net Blazor application. I wanted something that was easy to set up and secure. Out of the box Auth0 provided that for my tool. In addition, they offer extra features like user metadata and a customizable login screen which just add a cherry on top!

  ### 47. Easy to use and very powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Implementation in .NET. Example that is provided is really easy to use and to understand.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

I suppose that there should be more video tutorials with some advanced usage of Auth0

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

I recommend Auth0 for authentication and authorization of your web APIs and applications

i have fully integrated auth0 and is working great.

  ### 49. A Flexible, very helpful and friendly Auth0 service.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colin S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

All features we required, easy setup and for authentication and authorisation, for a whole myriad of different languages. Slick UI. The guys at Auth0 are also extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The documentation can be overwhelming at times, making it a little difficult to get what your after, but that's not much of a gripe, its better than the alternative.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We chose Auth0 to help bring SSO to an aging application, where long extensive re-write wasn't an option. Authentication is really already setup, Auth0 has done most if not all of the work for you.

  ### 50. Powerful, Trustful, Secure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

It's been a great journey integrate our company web application portfolio with Auth0 for authentication and authorisation.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rollout globally seamless and standardised customer experience

Create internal/operational efficiencies
Improve customer relations/service
