## About Auth0
Auth0 takes a modern approach to Identity, providing secure access to any application, for any user. Safeguarding billions of login transactions each month, Auth0 delivers convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation. Auth0 is part of Okta, The World’s Identity Company™. Auth0 lets you quickly integrate authentication and authorization for web, mobile, and legacy applications, with new Fine Grained Authorization (FGA) that goes beyond role-based access control. Authenticate users across all applications with a customized, secure, and standards-based single login. Universal Login connects users to a central authorization server. Credentials aren’t transferred across sources, which boosts security and protects against phishing and credential stuffing attacks. OAuth 2.0 recommends that only external user agents (like the browser) be used by native applications for authentication flows. Auth0’s Universal Login achieves this while also enabling SSO.

## Auth0 Reviews
  ### 1. Good for easy social login integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gi M. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I like parts of the social login setup/connection guide because it gives me step-by-step instructions to set it up and it is quite simple to then integrate that into my website and mobile apps. The branding features are much better on Auth0's free plan than other authentication solutions. I have used Auth0 for a few months now.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

In my experience. The lack of images in order to simplify the setup process and their lack of in-depth guides for less main stream integrations.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The annoying and tedious of configuring social login's with my site and services

  ### 2. Customer support is abysmal

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

They have a free startup plan that gets you up and running pretty quickly.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The customer support is truly abysmal. You should assume that unless you need to talk to a sales rep you won't be able to interact with a support team.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IAM for our enterprise customers

  ### 3. Auth0 is a proven entity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyson P. | Staff Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I like that Auth0 is reliable, and real-world tested. Many companies use it, and it has a very good track-record.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The pricing structure is complex, and for some things, is too expensive.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Authentication/Authorization is not something that many organizations have the capacity to do themselves--it can introduce a lot of overhead. Auth0 takes that off our plate.

  ### 4. Terrible Customer Support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

* Ability to authenticate through a variety of methods

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

* Customer Support is terrible - they took a month to respond to our request for a new admin when our CTO left, with our team being handed off to 5 different individuals (to date) who each asked for the same information we had provided the previous individual.

* System is clunky with poor UI for developing a customised login screen

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User authentication into our web app

  ### 5. Best authentication and authorisation management platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Auth0 solves the most critical problem in the development process of creating authentication and managing authorization. It has best-in-class features like universal login single sign-in and multifactor authentication etc.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Auth0 has very good features which make it very useful but their pricing sometimes makes it difficult to use them for smaller projects. Also, they have decreased their limits inside the free tier. One needed feature is the magic link.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inside out projects we have to integrate various kinds of login and signup procedures we are using Auth0 for the authorizations and authentication inside our applications. Also, the single sign-in feature is very useful and used most of the time. Auth0 also gives you log details ass well.

  ### 6. Easy to implement Authentication Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mrinal G. | Back End Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Its Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) and the anomaly detection work pretty well.
It also supports SSO making it easy to sign up to different applications using the same credentials easily.
It has a lot of customization potential so that you can set the level of security according to you.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Its pricing could have been more justified if it was stated at a bit lower price.
The token management process is quite a bit complicated and tedious to perform.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AuthO helps to handle authentication to the data at a big scale pretty well. Its SSO and anomaly detection are very much optimized and help protect the system. Its pre built SDK's and libraries help in the ease of implementation.

  ### 7. Misusing their position and stopped develop the product

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The product somewhat works, but there are better alternatives and I would not recommend using them unless you are ok paying a premium not getting anything in return.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The product is not being developed. Even giant bugs that stop your users from logging in take weeks to fix.
They are super expensive; it could look like decent pricing, but when you consider that they deliver no support and have operational issues, I would say they are overpriced.
I want to warn people: if you want your customers to log in with SAML, Azure AD, etc., you must be on the enterprise plan (unless you have less than 3 customers with the need). Enterprise starts at +$35k, depending on MAU. Commercially, they have very junior sales people who say things that are not true on pricing and product.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Login users with Social, SAML and email

  ### 8. Auth0 employs hostile/predatory pricing tactics

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The service works well and is rarely down.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Pricing. They were already expensive, then they recently raised pricing 300% (from $0.023 to $0.07), including for existing customers. This is unheard of and predatory after customers invested in the platform assuming the prior pricing model.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managed customer auth service

  ### 9. Fairly straight forward and good product overall.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

- Flexible
- Easy to use but also very customizable once you get familiar with the platform
- Great documentation and examples

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

- Complex pricing for enterprise features
- Pricing has increased dramatically since being aquired by Okta
- Rigid pricing structure

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offloading the work of managing users, privacy and security requirements and integrating more complex features like SSO, MFA and RBAC.

  ### 10. Easy, safe and secure!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lax M. | Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I like the documentation and the SDKs for all programming languages.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

I don't have any specific dislikes about Auth0.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have not run into any issues with Auth0

  ### 11. I used auth0 7 years ago and they were amazing, now they totally suck.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | Director of Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The fact that they handle all the oauth oidc compliance so I dont have to read every detail of every spec is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Nobody responds to their emails. I have 3 emails out to three different salespeople about plans so I can go live with my app. I've been waiting weeks to hear back from any of them. The irony is, is that they were the ones who sent me an email asking if I had any questions in the first place.

Additionally, their support is total crap. They waste your time talking in circles instead of actually understanding your problem and trying to help you solve it. I am soooo disappointed I went with them but I did so because I used them nearly a decade ago on another project. They have since been acquired and the things I like about them, such as responsiveness and competent technical support have completely gone down the drain.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a Web app and Mobile app that consumes a stateless API along with customers with their own 3rd party API clients. I needed something that could provide authentication on all these fronts.

  ### 12. Easy to integrate into any of your implementation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lakindu G. | Devops, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Documentation is really good. And support around the community make sure you will be not lost when you use Auth0. And it has diverse libraries to support any of your implementation or programing language.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

I haven't found any issues yet with the auth0 framework. But I hope there will be more examples and scenarios to use auth0. Hope there will be continuous improvement over the framework.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically the single point of authentication without heavy implementation on auth. With few lines of code you have the authentication to your app.

  ### 13. Best Authentication Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jatin N. | Assistant Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

1. Ease of Use
2. Ability to check Uid
3. Client Secret mechanism
4. Easily establishable in a development environment
5. CLI

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Its ability to work with Custom Databases with .Net Core

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Password Authetication
2. Azure AD Integration
3. Custom Login Rules

  ### 14. Good for most, but not for everyone

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam A. | Interdisciplinary Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Auth0 is easy to set up and configure. Learning it was not completely straightforward, but that's to be expected. Teaching others, including staff members are not particularly tech savvy had the expected number of challenges. Integrated well with our applications (for the most part), but your mileage may vary. Keep in mind our project was small and simple.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

A large organization, or one where nuance is necessary in the security area, may not be the best solution. I did not deal with their tech support personally, but others did. Their customer support was less than responsive. Would use again for a small project, but would be hesitant to use where too many wheels and cogs are involved. It is difficult for users to change their emaIl addresses, which doesn't come up often, but it is a hassle when it does.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth0 allowed us to quickly implement an identity management system with (relatively minor) headaches along the way. Heartache, in this context, tends to take place after implementation, but so far has held up well and has been easy to update.

  ### 15. Great tool for User Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I love how easy it is to search, update and manage user information in a simple to-use UI.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

There is a lot of untapped functionality that my team does not use

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping our team, easily and securely manage user data

  ### 16. Offload the hard parts of authentication and authorization to the experts.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Full-featured and highly customizable. Auth0 provides confidence that you are secure and adhering to the industry standards and best practices. It's a complete, robust solution with the flexibility to make it what you need. It continues to add features and stay current. They also have great docs and a team that will help answer questions and provide some architecture feedback.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Depending on your usage and essential features, it can be somewhat expensive. I do feel that this high level of cost is justified for what you get, but it's not the cheapest solution.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Standard IAM needs. I mentioned already that helping to ensure that you're using industry standards and best practices in a very complex space is very valuable. This allows you to focus on what you need to create value for your customers without spending valuable development resources managing this area.

  ### 17. Software developer modifications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Syaifulnizam S. | Organisasion perisian komunikasi, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Help me protections for my product and software on features.

Other my customer or members copy feedback in job or researching.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protections my AuthO for my customers.i'm sharing other experiences for public in facebook site.

  ### 18. An amazing solution to create authentication and amazing platform for user management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elai Z. | iOS Mobile Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The Action (aka Hooks) are one of the most helpful tools that Auth0 has to offer.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Missing a test user for passwordless authentication so with Apple Connect Reviews you most likely be rejected.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Get in touch with there sales service to get the right plan for you company first.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I created my own database using PostgreSQL and Auth0 have a greater "Custom Database" option that really shrinks your work progress.

  ### 19. Avira

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sriaera Amaereua C. | Director of Risk Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

Time it taken: to become verified but that is what has to be

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot! Of identity theft identify and increase in security and more

  ### 20. One the most intuitive and easy to use IAM system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahesh S. | Technical Solution Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

- Use of Javascript everywhere. It is very easy to alter and extend the Auth0 functionality with a few lines of javascript code.
- Hooks and Rules provide an opportunity to extend every possible authentication workflow.
- The examples given in documentation are so intuitive and easy to use. Most of the time it is a simple copy and pastes without any modification.
- Version control of configuration and easy to deploy among environment with the help of auth0-cli.
- Auth0 provides connectors to connect with almost every possible user data source: either an on-prem or any IAM cloud provider.
- Adherence to Oauth 2.0 protocol and support all the authentication workflow defined by this protocol.
- Easy to write custom extensions to satisfy your business use case.
- Support some of the most used protocols like SAML 2.0 and OpenIDConnect.
- Easy to change the branding of the login screen

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

- Sometimes Auth0 UI does not reflect the latest changes you have made. There is little bit of delay.
- Changes done in one tab affect the changes in another tab. This was the issue with the old UI. Auth0 recently rolled out a new UI. I believe this issue has been taken care of with the new UI.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Migrate from an Old and complex Identity Management system CAS to a modernized IAM platform
- A commonplace to store data of all the customers and internal users and easily attach an attribute to separate them out.
- Easily extend the user metadata

  ### 21. Deverloper

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trần L. | Software Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I very like to use Applications in Auth0.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Refresh token after link account SMS connection with username/password user

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am building an Authentication and Authorization System in my company. Auth0 is solving token management with my system.

  ### 22. Very good experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davi R. | Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Auth0 is very easy to use and configure, allowing developers to focus on business requirements. The platform has quick start examples in a good variety of languages and tools and its customer support is very effective.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Some docs are outdated and potentially could be misleading. Also, it would be nice to have full enterprise scenarios in the examples.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth0 provides centralized authentication and authorization middleware, making it easy for all applications to behave in a unique way, allowing scalability and easy maintenance.

  ### 23. Used in java projects

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro V. | Software engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

It is compatible with many platforms and different technologies.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

It's not so easy to implement as it looks like.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Very good experience

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Login and authentication in one single place.

  ### 24. Great solution for JSON Web Token Authentication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

We really like how Auth0 works seamlessly with our systems via JWT tokens as well as with traditional web servers like Ruby on Rails.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Sometimes the documentation is a bit outdated, or some features get left behind in new versions of libraries.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we solve is allowing people to have a single login for multiple applications. This works particularly well with JWT tokens and a proxy server such as Caddy Server.

  ### 25. So easy to get up and running

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregory J. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I really liked how easy it was to get started using Auth0 in my .Net Blazor application. Auth is such a pain in the neck in single page applications and Auth0 provides quality libraries and easy to follow instructions to get auth up and running and most importantly..out of your way :) The free plan is generous enough to get me off the ground with my new application without incurring any expenses.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

I think it would be great if there were some kind of tool to show you exactly which features you are currently using and which might be unavailable when the free tier expires. At the same time, I don't believe I was using any non-free features...So maybe they do have that!

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to have identity in my .Net Blazor application. I wanted something that was easy to set up and secure. Out of the box Auth0 provided that for my tool. In addition, they offer extra features like user metadata and a customizable login screen which just add a cherry on top!

  ### 26. Quick and easy to implement, robust feature set with plethora of integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul H. | Director of Software Architecture, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The CLI tool that allows tying current implementation to version control, and enabling seamless propagation across environments is extremely powerful.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Our specific use-case requires more flexibility in terms of branding pages/emails and custom domains to support our whitelabel applications.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

I would highly suggest it to anyone that is considering building their own authentication service. I would also suggest it to anyone considering replacing their existing authentication service. Auth0 is the gold standard in authentication.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it primarily for SSO between applications. As a growth company with significant M&A activity, we have applications in several different languages/frameworks, and Auth0 has SDKs/clients in all of them, making the integration process quick and easy.

  ### 27. Super responsive & always ready to help

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devin E. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The team is extremely willing to help our team with insights and de-bugging. We have a check in with them quarterly as well as constant communication outside of meetings.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

There has been a lot of turnover on the team since I have started working with them. This hasn't caused many issues, however it is a bit disconcerting.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth0 is helping us to solve the issue of breached password detection & to identify users with duplicate email addresses.

  ### 28. Great for setting up authentication to our apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gustavo R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Overall, it's very easy to use, it gives you some templates in different programming languages (like python, node.js, go) that you can use on your apps, and it's very clear about what type of application you need to set up in Auth0 in order to meet your app's needs (whether is Native App, Single Page App, Regular Web Application, Machine-to-Machine, according to OAuth 2.0 standards).

The sign up/sign in features are very good. For users is very easy to create an account and then login into the application. Also, you can set up regional settings, so users from different parts of the world can get the login page customized in their language (in our case we use English/Spanish, but there are many more).

I'd recommend to set up a development tenant and a production tenant, so you can have more freedom to test out new features on the development environment, and you can allow access from localhost for developers. The good thing is that if you want to set up a production tenant, Auth0 runs a series of checks, specially for allowed URLs, so you know if your environment is really ready for production; for instance, if you have localhost as an allowed callback URL, Auth0 will not move your tenant into a production environment until you fix that.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The only thing I would change is to be able to create custom logins more easily.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

I would recommend to set up a development tenant and a production tenant, so you can have more freedom to test out new features on the development environment, and you can allow access from localhost for developers. The good thing is that if you want to set up a production tenant, Auth0 runs a series of checks, specially for allowed URLs, so you know if your environment is really ready for production; for instance, if you have localhost as an allowed callback URL, Auth0 will not move your tenant into a production environment until you fix that.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User Authentication and Authorization

  ### 29. Auth0 helps with authentication that developers do not have time for.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Auth0 has a lot of authentication options for developers that don't have time to implement their own versions on their systems. It's affordable.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Some of the administration options are not available via API, which makes it harder to totally automate auth0. Everything available via the UI needs to be available via API, in fact, it should be in the API first, then the UI.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Auth0 can save you a lot of team and there aren't a lot of viable competitors. Worth giving a shot.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auth0 gives us minute control into our authentication mechanisms

  ### 30. Bait and switch + bullying - They lost long term business.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

N/A - There was very little to like by both sales and operations teams.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Quote for renewal was produced 20 days before the renewal deadline. New pricing models doubled the price for a reduction in service consumption. Was bullied on meeting 20-day window to accept the offer or leave service.... There will be no further business personally with this company nor their parent Okta. I am speaking as an individual.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Have an alternative solution ready to run in parallel when you are strong-armed into massive renewal increases.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that their competitors can't resolve.

  ### 31. Nice solution to "start small but think big"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian R. | Co-Founder, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Time to production. Both doing a solution demo with customer branding and setting up Dev and Test tenants were achieved in a couple of hours. Customizing the standard integrations to fit is rather "configuring" and within minutes, you can test!

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Real customization is not a thing to do! If you need changes that require you to do full UI/UX adaptation will make you move to a "outside the SaaS" bolt-on.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

If you are a developer and need to secure any eServices, try Auth0
If you need to provide full customization rather plan to do the login UI screens yourself and do not rely on the "out of the box" Lock.js...

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly authentication for a globally unified user-community, accessing a number of eServices such configurators, shops, education etc.

  ### 32. Bit of a learning curve, but it really did make the auth a lot easier.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Domanic S. | Solutions Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

The quickstarts are good. It gives you a good point to work from, and the articles and API explorer really allow you the chance to test drive some of the capabilities of the libraries.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

The documentation can be a bit circular sometimes. Read A for more. Then you read A, and it leads you back to where you started. It happened to enough to be a bit frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Find the walkthrough videos and be very meticulous when you follow them. Also, if you're able to change the dashboard lay out to the old one so the instructions match.
The new UI makes it a tiny bit difficult to match the directions.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There's a load of capabilities I wanted to use, and having auth0 manage some of the more fiddle parts of the auth process meant that I could concentrate on implementing fun features than messing with user management.

  ### 33. Having fun implementing Auth0 in my application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

It is making authorization and authentication a breeze to implement with its user-friendly UI and intuitive API.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Same as other vendors, need more examples.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm trying to create an application simulating the functionalities of a tuned down grocery store management software. Since the application can be shared by the store managers (e.g. to manage suppliers, customers, and employees), the store employees (e.g. to manage inventory, aisles, departments, and purchases), and customers (e.g. to create and modify orders) with sensitive information exchanging, a secure and an efficient authorization and authentication platform for the users and their roles is a necessity. Auth0 has provided me with a straight forward and secure way to achieve that part of my goal for the project.

**Official Response from Andreas Christofakis:**

> Thank you for your feedback, Alan! We're glad to hear your authentication and authorization setup is a breeze.

  ### 34. Good for developers not for enterprise

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Nothing comes to my mind as we have to deal with short comings of auth0 from day to day basis

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Rate limiting, rules for client credentials and so many issues with not able to access permissions in the rules, no token exchange support, no metrics and alerts of any type. No enterprise-grade features. UI search is so broke that we built cli to search our API's

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User logins and machine to machine flows.
Authentication is better as we don't need to deal with login and security related activities.
Lacks Authorization related features.

  ### 35. Very simple to use and powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Auth0 is very easy to use and gives you the peace of mind that your site is secure. The rapid development of your application is a key factor in the creation of your products and with Auth0 you will find

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

I have a bit of confusion about the inner workings of the product I used. I read a little about its operation, but I had to look in their posts, I hope a support guide was available on its operation while you use the product and not just a black box that is used, since being sure how Authentication works is very important for the peace of mind of using Auth0.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Use it for rapid development, it is very simple to use and powerful.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implementing authentication with various authentication services was very easy and fast.

  ### 36. Powerful, Trustful, Secure

HA, compliant, secure, market recognised

Lack of tools for corporate governance and fine grain access level for management (I see Auth0 it's working hard to improve this features)

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

It's been a great journey integrate our company web application portfolio with Auth0 for authentication and authorisation.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rollout globally seamless and standardised customer experience

Create internal/operational efficiencies
Improve customer relations/service
Improve compliance & risk management
Improve business process outcomes
Drive innovation
Reduce time to market

  ### 37. Auth0, nice to go with

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

B2B and B2C solutions fot organizations.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Actually don't have something for dislike.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allow users from all business directories to be integrated with platform with SSO option to enable. Manage users, privileges and more .

  ### 38. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

I'm able to see customer details such as what operating system they're using, the location they're logging in from, etc.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Are we able to display the website the customer is attempting to log in to? Rather than just the host name?

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to impersonate a customer and see exactly what they're seeing on their end. I can see what issues they're running into and why (i.e. is it a browser issue? am i able to replicate their issue on my pc/mac? etc.)

  ### 39. Easy to use and intuitive service.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Easy to use, they have guides for using them on various systems. It is simple and intuitive to use for external users. Simple to use in my applications.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Some isolated issues in Shiny R when having multiple users on the web application. The platform tends to crash when many users log in at the same time because the Auth Login prevails when other people access the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Yes, it is a simple and intuitive system, made for users with a low level of programming.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yes, the solution is to use Dockers to create multi-instances. This solves part of the problem, but even so, external agents must be used to solve the problems through the platform. I hope it gets resolved, as the package used in R hasn't been updated for more than 5 years.

  ### 40. Auth0 is a great service. Easy to set up, easy to use, confidently secure.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Easy to use, great documentation, secure by default. Lots of great libraries already created to use the service with ease. Works like LOTS of different languages.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

There isn't much to dislike. My only real complaint is social profiles are not linked to username/password profiles without paying. That's not really a good complaint though. I'd rather pay for the service anyway.

**Recommendations to others considering Auth0:**

Easy to use, great documentation, secure by default. Lots of great libraries already created to use with ease. Works like LOTS of different languages.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Authentication is already set up and ready to go. No extra coding needed by my team to make sure it's secure. That work has already been done by Auth0

  ### 41. Great product really helping solve some of our enterprise issues with identity management

Currently using the Auth0 solution to help with increased security and reduced setup time for the many different applications and customers access across the product lines

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

Auth0 also have great developers tools/APIs to improve efficiency based on our company use cases

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users authentication and access tokens. MFA and SSO are other features implemented in our digital channels.

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

it gives me the ability to log in and authenticate a user with whatever credential that the user is comfortable with. It supports and work s with other languages and services

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

well not much except that the user must be authenticated before they can have access to my site. but sometimes the display can be a little complicated showing different things at the same time.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

with Auth0 I don't have to store all the user credentials in the database, users have the option to login using the credentials they are comfortable with, making it easy and quick to log in

> Thank you for your feedback, Anthony! We're glad to hear you've found a way to balance the user experience with security and privacy.

**Reviewed by:** Vikram K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Auth0?**

Multitennant support by auth0 is the best. It fits my need.

**What do you dislike about Auth0?**

Nothing as of now. Still new to auth0 and yet to discover a huge area.

**What problems is Auth0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were developing a delivery app for customers, where we decided to make use of auth0, as it has a lot of integrations ready. Which will save our development time.

Benefits we had was logging in with gmail and facebook.

Sometimes the UI seems cluttery as it is difficult to find something. like navigating to different tabs while the thing should be at current tab only.
