### 3. Easy to Start, but the Windows Desktop App Is Too Buggy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

It's pretty easy to use (when it works) and it's easy to get started. Their CS team is attentive which is good and even their AI chatbot is decent. I use it multiple times per week and sometimes everyday.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I feel like ever since they've been taken over by Atlassian it's gotten super buggy. I mostly use the desktop app for windows but have also used the Chrome extension.

It's constantly like not picking up my mic or speakers or just crashing for no reason. I've had to uninstall and re-install so many times but still have issues.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use loom mostly for customer service to help show users of our software how to troubleshoot different things. I also use it to communicate with the software team

 ### 4. Effortless Video Sharing and Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Loren H. | Strategy & Operations Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

I love how Loom is just SO easy to use and saves our team a tremendous amount of time. I really like that it automatically produces transcripts and that its video editing tool is so easy to use, even for someone who doesn't know much at all about video editing. It makes the process super easy.

Loom helps us efficiently share knowledge about product updates, features, and bugs. It's easy to use, saves time, and auto-generates transcripts. Its video editing tool is user-friendly.

 ### 5. Great for Quick Intro and How-To Videos, but Loads Slowly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lesedi M. | Second Line Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom has helped me—and continues to help me—create short introduction videos for my online and AI interviews. I also use Loom to create how-to videos.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Compared to other pages in my browser, Loom seems to load really, really slowly.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can create videos and then reuse them if other companies or organizations ask for something similar, or even the exact same thing.

 ### 6. Loom Makes Explaining Complex Topics Effortless and Fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rushan M. | Freelance Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

There are many similar tools but I find Loom the best because of it's speed and ease of use. I can literally explain any of my colleagues a complex topic or demo without having the need to set up a meeting and within minutes. And the AI features which were added last year are great too.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I feel Loom has a very restrictive free plan whereas a other similar tools are a bit more generous. I particularly dislike the time limit of 5 minutes in the free plan, it could have atleast been 10 minutes.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom is hugely cutting down my meeting times. And as someone who works remotely, I don't have the need to schedule a meeting often, instead I just record a short video and share it with my clients and colleagues. And, it hardly takes 5 to 10 minutes saving us time and enables faster communication.

 ### 7. Effortless Feedback and Communication with Loom

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eliezer M. | Senior Motion Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

What I like most about Loom is how easy it is to give feedback and show the screen of what we're working on while recording voice and video for more personal and fluid communication

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

There isn’t really anything I dislike as such; it’s a functional platform and it fulfills its purpose. Maybe it would help a bit if it had tools that made some interactions more visible, such as a mouse highlight or visual feedback showing where a click occurs

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In general, the problem it solves is that my team and I work in different time zones, which makes it difficult to have virtual meetings. Loom helps solve this because it allows us to have that experience without it being live

 ### 8. Effortless Video Sharing, Perfect for Team Updates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

I use Loom to record videos and quickly share development progress on Jira Issues, which is really handy. I love that it's fast and easy to use, which makes my work smoother. The 3-second countdown before recording is very useful, helping me prepare right before starting to record. The initial setup was extremely simple, and it integrates well with Jira and other communication software.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Nothing at all.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Loom to record videos and share development progress quickly, avoiding the need for an external recorder. It's fast, easy to use, and I like the 3-second countdown.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Sometimes Loom can feel a bit limited unless you’re on a paid plan. Uploading longer recordings can also be slow at times, which can be a little frustrating.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom solves the problem of unclear and time-consuming communication. Instead of long messages or scheduling meetings, I can quickly record my screen and explain things visually. This helps avoid misunderstandings, saves time, and makes collaboration easier, especially when working remotely.

 ### 11. Transforms Team Communication with Instant Video and Smart AI Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elijah E. | HR Officer - Disciplinary | Industrial Relations | Policy |Projects | Performance Management , Telecommunications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom stands out for its capacity to replace traditional meetings with asynchronous video communication. Among its most valuable features are instant sharing, which eliminates the need to wait for uploads, the personal feel provided by the camera bubble, and AI-powered tools that can automatically summarize videos and remove filler words. Overall, Loom helps teams save time by enabling clear communication without requiring everyone to be online simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Loom's primary disadvantages are its very limited free plan, which restricts recordings to 5 minutes and allows only 25 videos, as well as recurring performance problems like app crashes and audio synchronization bugs. The platform also does not offer advanced editing capabilities, and many of its most useful AI features are only accessible through a costly premium subscription. Because of these limitations, Loom may not be the best choice for users who need to create longer videos or are trying to keep costs down.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom changes slow, text-heavy workflows into quick, high-context video messages. This helps businesses by cutting down on unnecessary meetings, making remote collaboration across different time zones easier, and ensuring that complex information is communicated clearly and in a more personal way.

 ### 12. Teamwork Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manan B. | Innovation Trainee ( AI developer ), Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom makes communication incredibly easy and time-efficient. I love how I can quickly record my screen with voice or webcam, explain a process or feedback visually, and share the link instantly — no need for long meetings or lengthy emails. The interface is clean, intuitive, and the video quality is excellent even for quick recordings. It’s become a daily tool for me to collaborate with teammates and clients asynchronously.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

There’s not much to dislike, but sometimes the upload or processing time can take a bit longer for larger videos. Also, the video trimming and editing options are somewhat limited compared to dedicated video editors. However, for quick recordings and sharing, it still performs exceptionally well.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom helps bridge the gap between written communication and live meetings. Instead of scheduling long calls or writing lengthy messages, I can record short, clear video explanations that teammates can watch anytime. It’s made collaboration faster, especially across different time zones. I use it for walkthroughs, feedback, client updates, and internal training — saving both time and effort while keeping communication more personal and visual.

 ### 13. Effortless Screen Recording for Developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepan K. | Staff Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom offers 25 free recordings. You can even delete old recordings so that you get new slot to record. This really helps when you don't want to straight away purchase the product

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I didnt dislike any. but it could have been useful, if there is a way it can highlight my clicks and hovers. Sometime s i record without audio where i cannot explain what am doing with mouse

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom offers effortless screen recording which you can do with their extension itself. Being a developer, i may need to send screen recording of a working prototype often to my stakeholders. Loom helps here where it could also tell who had viewed my video if they had signed in

 ### 14. Fast, Simple, and Efficient Screen Recording

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaysree B. | Freelancing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I use Loom to quickly record short screen videos, which helps explain things more clearly than text. Loom is fast and simple to start recording. Sharing a video link instead of a long explanation saves time and makes communication clearer. It avoids long explanations and reduces misunderstandings because people can see exactly what I mean, saving time for both sides and removing the need for follow-up questions or meetings. I mostly use Loom alongside tools like email, chat apps, or project management tools to share recordings, fitting easily into my workflow because I can paste the video link wherever I am communicating. The initial setup was very easy, with installing and starting the first recording taking only a few minutes with no complex configurations.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The free version has limits on video length and storage, which can feel restrictive. Better trimming or lightweight editing tools would also improve the overall experience. Longer recording limits or more flexible storage in the free tier would help for slightly detailed explanations. Adding a simple built in editing like cutting pauses or mistakes before sharing would also make videos more polished without extra tools.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom helps me explain ideas faster without typing long messages or scheduling calls. It reduces back and forth by letting me show my screen and talk through things in one go. Sharing a video link avoids long explanation and reduces misunderstandings, saving time for both sides and removing the need for follow-up questions or meetings.

**Reviewed by:** Michelle Lyn E. | Social Media Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

What I like best about Loom is how easy it is to record and share videos. At K’s Kitchen Palo, it’s super helpful for showing step-by-step instructions or updates without needing a meeting. Instead of typing long explanations, we just record a quick video, and everyone can watch it anytime—it saves a lot of time and makes communication clearer.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

What I dislike about Loom is that the videos can take a while to upload if the internet is slow. Also, the free version has limited storage, so we sometimes have to delete older videos to make space. But overall, it’s still a really convenient tool for sharing quick updates and instructions at K’s Kitchen Palo.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom helps us communicate more clearly and efficiently at K’s Kitchen Palo. Instead of sending long messages or scheduling meetings, we can just record quick videos to explain processes or updates. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayushi D L. | Webflow Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I use Loom for recording client tutorials, which helps them with autonomy on post project edits. It saves me time by eliminating the need for call scheduling and attending. I really like the transcript feature with the option to edit, as it solves the accent-based friction barrier, making communication smoother for my international clients. The feature of having a tiny frame visible allows me to talk to people during project walkthroughs without having an actual conversation, which works really well. I find sharing a link with acknowledgment of its viewing much more efficient than uploading and sharing a large file. The initial setup was super easy, with just an account sign up, and there is a Chrome extension for easy access. The free plan and its features fit my needs perfectly.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Nothing as such.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom saves me time by eliminating the need for call scheduling. It helps create easy-to-follow client tutorials. The transcript feature overcomes accent barriers, and sharing links is more efficient than large files. The tiny frame feature is great for walkthroughs.

I use Loom to share my screen and explain details to my team. Loom is really helpful and saves time by removing the need for unnecessary meetings. It's very user-friendly, and I love the Loom extension. Whenever I need to explain something in detail by sharing my screen, I just use the Loom extension to record my screen and myself, and then share the link. I also like the feature that notifies me once the recipient has viewed my Loom, as it gives a receipt that the message has been conveyed. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I use Loom to record video when I'm away so my students can still work, and I love how easy it is for recording. It allows me to give pre-recorded classes to my students, which is incredibly convenient. I also appreciate how it's excellent in meeting my needs without any issues.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Nothing

I use Loom to record videos so my students can still work when I'm away, providing them with pre-recorded classes.

 ### 20. Effortless Video Sharing, Boosts Client Trust

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonu K. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like how Loom helps us in building trust with our clients through the videos we record. Using Loom makes the training process for our staff and new interns on executing doorstep car wash and detailing services effortless. I appreciate the ease of generating videos and links, which simplifies sharing them with new staff. I also find the setup process quite efficient as it took only 24 hours to integrate Loom with our business.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

One thing that it mainly lacks is need of 24*7 availability of internet connection because whenever the internet connection gets weak the videos streaming becomes difficult for the whole team

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom builds trust with our clients through video recordings and simplifies training, making learning effortless and efficient.

 ### 21. Instant Uploads, Perfect for Interview Preps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash D.

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I love Loom's one-click screen and camera capture with instant cloud upload. I recorded a live VS Code demo of REST API debugging at 1080p/60fps and was able to share the link mid-session to a recruiter and got feedback in under an hour without having to deal with OBS's endless renders. Another standout feature is Loom's AI-powered chapters and transcripts, which auto-slice my rants into timestamped sections like '2:15 - C++ mutex demo' or '4:42 - REST rate limiting.' This allowed recruiters to scan SQL optimizations on mobile without watching the full video, landing me callbacks much faster than with email attachments.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The free tier's limit of 25 videos at 720p hits hard, especially after 10+ interview mocks, making the Pro upgrade of around ₹800/month feel steep for occasional job hunts. The lack of a native dark mode toggle during recordings causes a visual clash with terminal themes during night coding demos. Transcript accuracy also drops with technical jargon, misinterpreting terms like 'gRPC' as 'jee RPC,' which could be improved with dev-specific vocabulary training.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Switching to Loom from OBS Studio eliminated long exports, allowing instant uploads and link sharing for interviews, landing callbacks in hours instead of days. Loom's AI chapters and transcripts make technical demos scannable for recruiters, speeding up the review process.

 ### 22. Easy Sharing, but Atlassian-Era Admin Experience Is Truly Horrible

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stan P. | VP Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

The easy sharing system and the editing tool

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

since Atlassian bought Loom, the admin experience is truly horrible : every user has to pay. The billing is one another page. It's hard to control.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Demos

 ### 23. Effortless Video Sharing and Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav C.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like Loom's easy-to-use interface. All the options are easy to understand and set up; there's no need to download its software app because you can just go to its web version and start your task. Loom solves the problem of sharing videos by providing a shareable link after recording, unlike other platforms where you have to upload videos elsewhere and create a link. I find it valuable because it's straightforward to select options and start recording on their web app. I also appreciate the video editing feature, allowing me to remove parts of the video if needed. Additionally, Loom offers an option to schedule online meetings, a feature I'm exploring.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Sometimes I notice if a video is large in length, then it's hard to play it. Sometimes it lags, so Loom can improve this part. This generally happens during playback; like if someone shares me a recorded video link of Loom and if it's large, then it lags to play that video.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom solves the hassle of sharing videos by providing a sharable link immediately. Its easy interface and editing features make recording and modifying videos simple without needing additional software.

 ### 24. Facilitate the Connection and Creation of Videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clarisa T. | IMPORT - EXPORT COORDINATOR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like the ease of being able to create videos with Loom. I especially value the recording time counter, the screen display, and the mobility it offers. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, as I just installed it and signed up. I also appreciate that it allows me to connect with people who are out of the office.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I would like to have more space to record videos with a second screen recording.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Loom to present weekly reports and solve connectivity with people outside the office. I love how easy it is to create videos.

 ### 25. Loom Makes Screen Recordings and Team Updates Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom is great for screen recordings! I've used it to record when running into a bug that I need help troubleshooting, I've also used it when sharing process updates or introducing a new feature to the team.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I have not yet mastered their editing options. I have found that if I make a mistake in the audio/screen share, I have to restart the video.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Screen & video recordings. Great for sharing information and updates internally and with customers

 ### 26. Easy and Quick Video Sharing with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like that Loom is easy to use, and you can get a link immediately without needing to convert or do extra steps. This makes it super convenient for quickly sharing my videos right after creating them. Also, the initial setup of Loom is straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

There should be an opportunity to cut out spaces and pauses without them being behind a paywall. Some light editing features shouldn't be on the paywall.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom helps solve outreach by providing a quicker way to send my point across through videos.

 ### 27. Fast, Easy Video Recording and Sharing That Makes Communication More Personal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janine W. | Adjunct Career Services Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

The best part of Loom is how quickly and easily it allows me to record and share videos, whether it’s for walkthroughs, feedback, or presentations. The screen and camera recording together, combined with instant sharing via a link, makes communication far more personal and efficient than email alone.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The only downside for me right now is that it doesn’t fit within my budget.

 ### 30. Loom Makes Communication Simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendra H. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I love using Loom because it saves me from unnecessary meetings and phone calls. Recording and sending a quick video makes it so much easier to explain things and keep communication efficient. Loom is also incredibly easy to use. It’s literally just click, record, and go. I love how slick the process feels, and the features make it even better. From sharing links instantly to letting people watch on their own time, it takes the hassle out of explaining things and keeps communication smooth without needing a meeting or phone call.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The only issue I run into is that sometimes Loom glitches and I have to refresh the screen to get it working again. It’s a small frustration compared to how much time it saves me overall.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom addresses the issue of time lost in meetings and endless phone calls. Rather than coordinating schedules or attempting to clarify things through lengthy emails, I can simply record a short video and share it right away. This approach helps me save time, reduces misunderstandings, and streamlines my workflow.

 ### 31. A flawless way for communicating or giving feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pamela R. | Audit assistant, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I have been using Loom for about 4 years in many capacities and roles.

Being a full-time lecturer at the time, recording a video while explaining something is a natural, frictionless way of communicating, so the implementation was a no-brainer.

From being a full-time academic researcher and lecturer to a business consultant, Loom has enabled me to provide an easy and streamlined way of communication to a variety of stakeholders. It is so easy to integrate within any workflow, since you don't have to add another platform or software to my workflow (or my clients). They do not need to create another account or download new software if they don't want to (though many of them create an account by the time we finish the project).

Depending on the stage of the project or process, I use Loom at least a couple of times a week to provide feedback or give accurate instructions. I like the cloud-based approach since it allows me, my team, and clients to work practically anywhere and at any time -- a great feature when working remotely and across different time zones.

From undergraduate students to business owners and fellow admins, I find they appreciate the "human touch" (eg., watching me as I speak and having the chance to pause whenever they feel the need).

The Customer Support is awesome and answers tickets quickly.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The free account only provides 5-minute videos and a library of 25 videos, so I have to eliminate the videos once I finish a project.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom streamlines communication processes with a lot of different actors. I love the fact that I can use it for almost everything.
It is specially useful for giving feedback, requesting changes and even explain simple task to new members of a team.

 ### 32. User-Friendly and Essential for Training Videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max M. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like Loom for its ease and simplicity. It's very user-friendly, and I think that's the best thing about it. It's easy to just turn it on and go, which saves me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I guess I wish that the free version had a little bit more bandwidth for holding videos or creating longer videos.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Loom to create training videos and share them with clients or partners. It makes showing how-to's easy and quick, saving time and simplifying communication.

 ### 33. User-Friendly, But Resource Intensive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I just like Loom because it's very easy to use and user-friendly. You can basically just look at it and know how to use it without needing to be technically sound, which is great since I'm not really good with computers. It allows me to do things without interruption or worrying about understanding how technology works. Setting it up was pretty easy too; you just need to register an account, and you're good to go. The free version is more than enough for what I need.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I just think it takes too much memory on my Google Chrome that it sometimes crashes. It records, and then sometimes it's not as common, but it happens.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Loom to share video tutorials with coworkers, making remote work easier. It's user-friendly, so I don't have to think much about how to use it or worry about tech mistakes.

 ### 34. The perfect tool to screen any Tutorial and share it with your team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grecia L. | Email Marketing & Marketing Automation Specialist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

What I really appreciate about Loom is how it cuts through the noise. Instead of drafting long emails or setting up yet another meeting, I just hit record and share exactly what I mean in seconds. It’s a simple way to get my point across without losing any of the personal vibe.

It’s also great because people can watch whenever it suits them—no need to sync calendars or rush replies. The whole thing just flows naturally. The videos look sharp, it’s super straightforward to use, and honestly, it just makes working together feel way less complicated.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Occasionally, the playback can lag or stutter depending on your connection, which can be frustrating. And lastly, I wish it had a few more advanced editing options built in, so you wouldn’t have to jump to another tool if you want to trim or highlight something more precisely. But overall, these are minor quirks in an otherwise handy tool.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom has seriously changed how I communicate at work. Instead of writing long, confusing emails or jumping into meetings that kill productivity, I just record a quick video showing exactly what I’m talking about. It’s like having a face-to-face chat, but without the hassle of scheduling or interruptions.

This saves me and my team so much time and frustration. Everyone gets the full picture in a few minutes, they can watch it whenever works best for them, and questions get cleared up before they even come up. For remote work and fast-paced projects, Loom keeps things moving smoothly and helps us stay aligned without any wasted effort. It’s hands-down one of the smartest tools I’ve added to my workflow.

 ### 35. A simple yet effective screen recording tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayur P. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom is a very easy to use screen recording tool. Setting up this software is very easy and the UI is very intuitive. I use the browser extension but one can use desktop app as well. I use it frequently because it saves a a lot of time compared to writing long emails and repeating explainations using it's core features like screen recording, webcam overlay, video trimming, easy sharing, and team collaboration. Another plus point is that it integrates with tools like Slack, Gmail, and JIRA, making it smooth to fir in daily workflows. Overall, Loom is simple yet productive tool which makes communictaion faster and reduces the need for repetitive explainations and demos.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

One disadvantage of Loom is that longer recordings can occasionally take longer to analyze and distribute, which causes a slight lag. Regular users may feel constrained by the free plan's restrictions on features and recording duration. If you need to make intricate modifications to a video, there isn't much flexibility because the editing tools are quite simple. It could also be easier to arrange and manage a lot of recordings, particularly for groups who routinely produce and distribute videos.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spending too much time on lengthy emails, pointless meetings, and repeated explanations may be avoided using Loom. I can easily record a video to provide a clearer explanation of things rather than printing out lengthy instructions or setting up calls. This guarantees that everyone may view the explanation at their own leisure, saves time, and facilitates understanding of communication. Since films can be repurposed for training, onboarding, or demos, it also facilitates knowledge sharing, which improves teamwork and productivity.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

We use Loom to train our new team members. Loom offers excellent features for recording sessions, delivering smooth audio and video without any lag, which I really appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Overall, Loom is a good tool to use, but I think it could improve slightly in its user navigation guide for new users. Enhancing this aspect would help users understand the features more quickly and benefit from them sooner. For the most part, I like everything about Loom.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom is a valuable tool for training and development, both for new team members and those already on the team. We use it to connect and deliver knowledge transfers about different tasks and projects. It has been helpful in guiding our team’s training in the right direction through recorded videos, screen sharing, and knowledge transfer materials. This approach also supports us in maintaining a structured learning process.

 ### 38. Effortless Video Sharing with Automatic Transcripts

The ease of use of Loom is exceptional, which means I spend very little time trying to figure out how to explain its operation to customers. I particularly appreciate the ability to share the videos easily, which enhances communication efficiency with clients. Additionally, the built-in transcripts are a huge plus because they are automatically generated without any input needed from me, streamlining the process significantly. The onboarding experience was concise and easy to follow, making the initial setup of Loom hassle-free. Overall, Loom stands out for its user-friendliness, time-saving features, and the convenience of automatic transcriptions, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective video communication tool.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I have no complaints with Loom, I’ve always enjoyed using it!

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I save time using Loom instead of traditional meetings. Its ease of use makes it simple for clients. I benefit from automatic transcripts and seamless sharing, which enhance efficiency.

 ### 39. Easy-to-Use Video Maker with Excellent Transcription

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman G. | AI Automation Executive , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I use Loom for video making with screen recording and love that it gives me clear video without noise. The transcription feature that converts speech to text is great because it includes the correct timestamps. I found the initial setup to be easy and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I don't like that the Loom video download option is available only in paid plans. It should be robust and have the option to download in HD quality.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom helps me by providing video making without noise and clear video. It transcribes speech to text with the correct timestamp, which is really helpful.

 ### 41. Time-saving AI features and easy integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel G. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I love the AI features of Loom, which save me an incredible amount of work by allowing me to make the video content available in written form as well. The videos are ready to share immediately after recording, which I really appreciate, and I have the option to edit them afterwards. The easy use via the desktop app is another big advantage, as it is always available through auto-start and records videos in higher quality. I particularly appreciate the integration into the Atlassian Teamwork Collection, which significantly simplifies access to the tool and videos for all my colleagues. The initial setup of Loom was very easy for me: it's just a short path from 'record' to 'share'. All these features make Loom extremely valuable for my daily tasks.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Sometimes the wrong microphone is detected, and then you record a video without sound and wonder why no transcription is generated. There should be more checks or hints for the user here. Sharing the content works very easily, but organizing access to multiple videos via folders requires users with Loom access; this should also be possible for viewers without a Loom account.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom saves me time with AI features, facilitates sharing and editing of videos right after recording, and improves access for colleagues through integration into the Atlassian Teamwork Collection.

 ### 42. Enhanced Client Connections with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy S. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I love using Loom's free version because it offers great value for my small company with a limited budget and sales team. The extra credits are particularly helpful as they allow us to send more videos than the standard free version. The fact that the videos are not overly watermarked or branded enhances the professional appearance of our communications. Loom provides an effortless way to create a personable touch, making our introductory videos stand out more than standard emails, which helps in capturing the recipient's attention effectively. Additionally, I find Loom very easy to set up and use, making it accessible even for our recipients who might not be tech-savvy. Overall, these features make Loom an invaluable tool in our efforts to increase sales and provide a warm welcome to potential clients.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I often have trouble finding the stop button after I've finished recording my Loom video. It's generally located in a different position than where I started, which often makes my video end on a clumsy note.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Loom offers an easy, personable way to engage sales prospects, grabbing more attention than emails. It’s also cost-effective for our small team, allowing us to enhance our outreach without a large budget.

 ### 43. Enhances Client Communication with Easy Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bekee G. | Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I really enjoyed the editing experience with Loom, particularly the ability to cut out mistakes and the automated removal of 'umms' and 'ahhs.' This feature allows me to polish my recordings to a professional standard, ensuring that my clients receive clear and concise instructions without unnecessary fillers. I also appreciate the straightforward setup process of Loom, which was so seamless I hardly remember it, suggesting that it was easy and hassle-free. This ease of use contributes to a smooth workflow, enabling me to focus more on content creation rather than technical difficulties. Furthermore, the ability to record detailed step-by-step instructions and save them as videos for client reference is invaluable. This means my clients can independently manage website content and layout changes by following these guides I create, reducing the need for repetitive one-on-one consultations. Overall, Loom's features significantly enhance workflow efficiency and client autonomy.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The automated removal of 'umms' and 'ahhs' can sometimes be problematic because it tends to cut out the words on either side of these filler sounds. This can make the audio sound choppy, which is particularly challenging given my speaking style.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Loom to record and save how-to videos for clients, enabling them to edit content or change layouts independently, reducing the need for frequent check-ins.

 ### 44. User-Friendly, Free, and Effortless Tutorial Sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amer H. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I find Loom user-friendly, free, and very easy to use. The initial setup was very easy, which made getting started with Loom a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The free tier could have some more options, like more storage or video sharing options, and the ability to record longer video lengths.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Loom for recording my screen and sharing instructions and tutorials, making it user-friendly, free, and easy.

 ### 45. Effortless Video Demos with Loom

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark O. | IT automations | Cloud | Devops, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I love Loom for numerous reasons, with the most significant being its ease of use and intuitive user interface. It's so simple that anyone from a product manager to a marketing intern can easily navigate it, making our workflows smoother. Loom's AI features are particularly useful, allowing us to eliminate unwanted parts and fill in gaps efficiently, thus removing the necessity of a separate editor and shortening our video production times. The transcript functionality is a huge asset; it provides a complete script of everything spoken in the video, which we can incorporate into emails or use for marketing copy, streamlining communication between our product and marketing teams. Furthermore, Loom's ability to share videos within the team, organize them into different folders, and provide access across departments really enhances our collaborative efforts. It integrates seamlessly with Google Drive, making storage and access convenient. Lastly, setting up Loom was incredibly easy, taking less than a day, which allowed everyone, especially productivity and marketing personnel, to start using it immediately.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

One of the main areas where Loom could improve is in its editing capabilities. While recording on Loom, I sometimes find the need to take the videos and edit them elsewhere because the editing features available within Loom are somewhat limited. I wish Loom offered more editing power, such as more advanced options for video editing and the ability to change lighting, to make recordings appear more professional.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Loom enables quick product demos for clients, cutting down on video production time and eliminating meetings with easy self-editing. Its AI features streamline editing, and transcripts aid product descriptions and marketing, enhancing team communication and efficiency.

 ### 46. Efficient Video Communication with Scope for UI Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Apoorv K. | Yoga Coach

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like Loom for its ability to fast forward or speed up the video, which helps me save time because everyone speaks at their own pace. This makes conversations more digestible. I also find the transcription feature great. The convenience of asynchronous sharing and keeping everything in one place is really useful. Additionally, the initial setup is as easy as it gets, especially with the ability to log in using Google.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The interface can certainly be improved because I don't like the reactions that are scattered throughout the video. Even though it's interesting, I believe there's a lot of scope for improvement in that.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom helps with the asynchronous nature of remote work by allowing me to create and share videos when I'm not available, making communication more convenient.

 ### 47. Instant Transcription and Easy Editing Make It Stand Out

How on the free version you can only record up to 5 min of video.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves so much time compared to typing long emails. I especially like being able to show my screen and my face; It feels more personal than an email

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The search and organization could be better when you have lots of videos. Also the mobile recording experience isn't as smooth as desktop. Nothing deal-breaking, just room for improvements.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom solves the "I can't explain this in words" problem. I can show my screen and talk through steps, which avoids back and fourth messages. That's helped me get approvals faster, onboard teammates quicker and reduce meeting. Overall it makes communication clearer and much faster.
