ARC Reviews & Product Details

ARC is children’s home software built specifically for residential care in England. It gives every young person one connected, living record, so staff record information once and it flows everywhere it’s needed: daily logs, plans, risk assessments, medication records, incident reports and regulatory evidence. Instead of a collection of disconnected modules, ARC works as a single residential care management system designed around how children’s homes actually operate. ARC supports the evidence registered managers and responsible individuals need for Ofsted inspections and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Teams can manage Regulation 40 notifications, Regulation 44 independent visits and Regulation 45 reviews, with a clear Due & Overdue view so nothing slips. A read-only, time-limited inspector portal lets managers share exactly the records an inspector needs, without handing over logins. Everything a children’s home needs sits in one place. Staff can complete daily logs, journals and shift handovers, record keywork sessions, and keep care plans, goals and risk assessments up to date. Medication administration records (MAR) sit alongside each young person’s care record, and built-in staff rotas help managers plan shifts and cover. ARC also covers around 40 incident types, safeguarding records with designated safeguarding lead (DSL) roles for each home, and staff safer recruitment records. Access is layered by company, home, role and on-call status, so the right people see the right information. Most children’s homes in England are run by small, independent providers, and over half of owners operate a single home. ARC is built for them first, while also supporting multi-home groups with an operator, company and home structure that keeps access and oversight clear as you grow. Pricing is simple and transparent. ARC is priced per home by registered beds, with unlimited staff users and every feature included. There are no per-seat charges and no paid add-on modules, so costs stay predictable as your team changes. ARC’s optional AI assistance is narrow and advisory: it can help draft, but never makes decisions. It is off by default, works on pseudonymised data, runs on UK-only infrastructure and is fully audited, keeping sensitive information about children and young people protected. ARC reduces duplicate recording, keeps homes inspection-ready and gives managers a clear picture of every young person’s care in one place. Whether you’re opening your first children’s home or running several, ARC is a modern, affordable alternative to legacy care recording systems.
