"Solr : Helpful for storing and indexing data"
4/5
What do you like best about Apache Solr?

1. For my case, I am using Solr for getting search collection whether it's available or not. 2. We have different collections where we can store the particular data. But this data should be available in the search collection. For this, we are using Apache Solr to check whether the given search collection returns a valid response or not. So if the search collection returns a data response, it will be available in the front end. 3. Also, Solr helps to search the particular collection details in the response. 4. We can write queries to get the particular data's details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Average Software for Search Optimization"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Apache Solr?

I had personally used Apache Solr in the enterprise web application development which is basically written in java. Besides that, the Apache Solr is also written in java. It is very easy to use and very easy to understand. The main features provided by the Apache Solr, for example, full-text search, real-time indexing, dynamic clustering, database integration, rich document handling and, NoSQL features. What do you dislike about Apache Solr?

The Apache Solr is an average tool use for document indexing, which can be used for searching and data retrieval. But, I would like to suggest some areas of improvement needed in this tool, for example, solr tool is a bit complex. The naive user facing difficulties in understanding the basics of this tool and also hard to implement in other computer languages. support is very slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great document db+ search store"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Apache Solr?

synonyms, infecing, delta query, document sharding plus the schema with regular expressions gives a fantastic edge for representing search data. clustering is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache Solr?

not happy that there is no inbuilt javascript library or a datagrid that can interface with solr and search say around 10 million records. solr is for faster retrieval, something on the lines of datatable js library would help. this grid should be available as a plugin.
