## AnswerHub Reviews
  ### 1. Built an active community with AnswerHub within our company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura L. | HR Services Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2022

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

Badges and reputation points are two of the most effective gamification features available. Being able to control permissions based on their reputation score is a kind of reward for active users. Expert knowledge features improve recognition. Pinging experts is made more accessible with "Ask an Expert," and you can define your area of expertise both manually and automatically within the system.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

The built-in analytic features may be unreliable. Because AnswerHub is constantly being upgraded, some functionality remains unavailable.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We built a robust business community, and our users could participate in question-and-answer sessions and contribute high-quality content regularly. AnswerHub recognizes and encourages user contributions and participation by using reputation points. It added more features, resulting in a better user experience.

  ### 2. Forum that increased communication and employee engagement.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah F. | Director, Internal Communications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

AnswerHub is enterprise-ready software developed by a company that recognizes the significance of brand recognition and individuality in online communities. AnswerHub was an obvious choice for me, as I was looking for a reputable business forum. It comes equipped with Q&A, brainstorming, and content sharing, but its true strength lies in its adaptability. This allows you to customize the forum's look and feel to meet your community's needs better. While the administrative interface could be improved, all the features and analytics are present, giving you complete control over posts and users. When I encountered a problem with the forum being offline while utilizing their hosted solution, the support team emailed me before I even noticed the issue.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

Even though they are functional, both the analytics and the admin dashboard appear dated. Those who wish to make substantial changes to the forum must first consult with the support and development staff.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AnswerHub provides a solution for community moderation that is more adaptable, extensible, and interoperable than any of our current methods. Since then, the general public's participation level has increased dramatically in the first instance. Greater interest, more comprehensible responses, and more robust community support are visible development indicators.

  ### 3. Building a beneficial Q&A platform for clients and colleagues.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Augusto D. | Chief Executive Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

AnswerHub is a valuable tool for developing a question-and-answer-based knowledge base. A great alternative to submitting a support ticket is the provision of less formally sanctioned customer support in the form of hints, suggestions, and incomplete solutions that are sometimes sufficient to meet the customer's needs. I like that everything can be managed, including discussions, questions, and recommendations. It is simple to monitor user contributions and evaluate their standing. Gamification's reputation point feature is amusing.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

The administration interface could use some enhancements. At first glance, the sheer number of possible permissions for performing a particular action on the site can appear daunting.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AnswerHub is an excellent way to break down barriers between teams, departments, and companies by facilitating knowledge sharing among employees, partners, and customers. This tool, which goes beyond the standard question-and-answer format, enables you to build an engaging Q&A community. My colleagues receive badges and points in exchange for their time and effort in answering questions posed by the community.

  ### 4. Top-notch Q&A platform - manager and marketing professional view.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacqueline D. | Director of Patient Access Strategy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2022

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

AnswerHub should be implemented if you need an online community for your company or organization. It has built-in support for Q&A, brainstorming, and content sharing, but its true strengths are its adaptability and scalability. Despite the rough appearance of the administrative interface, you have complete control over all content and users. This allows you to tailor the forum's appearance and functionality to your community's specific requirements. Karma-based moderation is attractive because it will enable users to earn a reputation and participate in moderation however they see fit. Gamification features are also accessible, although I have not spent much time using them.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

Although helpful, the analytics are not particularly intuitive, and the admin panel has an outdated appearance.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

AnswerHub was a natural choice for us. However, we also paid close attention to the requirements of developers who require specialized communication channels.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I migrated from an existing Q&A platform to a management and marketing forum. Our previous question-and-answer services were similarly priced to AnswerHub but were significantly inferior. Consequently, community participation and response rates decreased. I switched to AnswerHub because I required a solution that could be tailored to our specific requirements, integrate with our existing infrastructure, and permit community moderation.

  ### 5. AnswerHub is a great service for our community

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben W. | Simulation Success Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

With AnswerHub our employees and users collaborate to find solutions. Having a public-facing, constantly growing knowledge base of content is not only an immense help to our community but also a major selling point for our business.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

It is pricey, but we feel like it is a worthwhile investment for the advantages we enjoy from its use. The API is not quite as powerful as I wish it was.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

It's always worth looking around at the latest platforms available. We did 7 years ago with AnswerHub. Would we ever change Q&A providers? Maybe... it's always good to reevaluate as platforms and pricing evolve. So far, AnswerHub has served our needs well at a price we felt had a good return on investment.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In tech support, over time you develop a large bank of questions and answers. If you're using an email-based system, or some other private support setup, then all that knowledge is locked away from public view.

We've found that many people have similar questions or hurdles that they need to overcome and that many people could benefit from seeing those questions and their solutions. AnswerHub gives us a public-facing platform where we can support our users and everyone can benefit from the answers that are put out for public consumption. In addition, since questions are public and anyone can participate, our users often help one another without any input or effort on our part.

We also appreciate that AnswerHub has a feature to ask a private question for those cases when proprietary information is necessary to help solve a problem.

  ### 6. Great Q&A Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2020

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

Users have taken the community into their own hands and have been helping each other out. Easing work by our technical support group. We also like the communication we as site administrators have with the engineers and support groups at DZone. We are able to use their portal to submit bug fixes or support requests and they are very responsive and we get quality answers back from them in a timely manner.

The newly designed analytics tools have helped us really hone in on areas that are doing well on our site and where we could use improvement. We also closely watch the analytics to ensure our customer base is getting the responses from us in a timely manner. The Analytics tools help us identify how responsive our support team is by tracking the time to first answer and time to accepted answers. These are the metrics we use to motivate our support staff to offer fast and efficient answers to our clients.

Also, their SSO capability has made this platform easier to use for our customers. Every customer has a profile on our main website and we can use cookies to make sure they are automatically signed in to the answerhub platform. SSO was simple to set-up and the support group was very helpful when doing this initial configuration.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

The security settings for spaces/users is not very user-friendly. I was hoping with the new update that the site/space/user/group securities would be easier to work with, but they are not. However, I am now fairly versed in them and can navigate them easily. It was just hard when we were starting out with the platform.

The search function was fairly poor in the previous versions of Answerhub. However, in the latest version they have rebuilt the search engine and it is now incredibly useful.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

Definitely do some research on competitors as there are some cheaper alternatives out there. However, I am very glad I took so long to review systems as I am confident in choosing AnswerHub. I know I would be upset with myself if I had gone with another system and tried to save some money by sacrificing some features.

AnswerHub is very reasonably priced and has been very important in helping us build a community that is better and more efficient than we even dreamed it could be at it's inception.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have eased workload on our tech support group by having a searchable user-driven community. As well as, having 'super-users' who are willing to help chip in and resolve other users solve their problems. We have encouraged and rewarded these users which has only driven them to be more active and helpful in our community.

Our support group was receiving the same questions over and over. This platform has provided our support group and customers the ability to search their specific questions and read through the standard answers we were giving so frequently. Now, we can spend our time helping those with more serious or unusual issues so that everyone is helped in a more efficient manner.

  ### 7. Gets the job done, but not amazing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2020

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

- New Admin Portal with Analytics

Answerhub recently upgraded their admin portal, and it is great. The UI is much more pleasing, and things are laid out in a way that is much easier to find what you are looking for. They also created nicer graphics for the site analytics, which are helpful for at-a-glance statistics of how your site is doing.

- Works well (most of the time)
Besides the occasional bug, the forum works as it is supposed to. It is easy for a user to ask questions and perform basic forum tasks. Bugs do come up pretty often, but they aren't show stoppers.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

- Not developer friendly
The api & its documentation are not great. As a developer, I have not liked working with their api and have had to contact them directly to get certain information about their api because the documentation is unclear.

-Searching
The search feature is not good. You can search for an exact title of question and it won't come up in the search results.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

AnswerHub is great if you just want a simple, easy to use and manage Q&A platform. If you are looking to make more customization and go further with it, I wouldn't be as likely to recommend it. With the new admin portal, it is easy to manage as an admin, and the UI is simple enough for users to navigate and ask questions. The thing that is harder is that if you want to use it as a customer service tool like we do, it is hard to keep track of all of the questions, because there isn't an easy interface for keeping track of questions that are answered or not. We had to integrate with Trello in order to keep track of all of the questions that needed our attention.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Answerhub as our customer service platform. Users ask questions, and our customer service representatives are able to provide answers and communicate with customers back and forth easily about their questions. This is great because everything is written down and available so that if someone else has the same question, it is publicly available so that they can have the answer immediately.

  ### 8. Perfect Q&A/ Forum Solution for Developer Audiences

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Director of Community, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

AnswerHub is the easy choice for a professional grade developer forum. While out of the box it boasts Q&A (with wiki functionality), ideas, and content sharing - where it really shines is in its ability to be customized and extended. This means you can change not only the design, but the functionality of the forum - creating something that is truly complimentary to your community. Needless to say it offers single sign on as well as other login style integrations such as LDAP. The admin panel is a bit rough, but the capabilities and analytics are there - giving you full control at the post and user level. Karma based moderation is a plus as it allows you to let your users earn reputation and help moderate as you choose. It also provides a gamified/ badge platform, although I haven't used it as much. The last piece is the API which allows for greater flexibility and control. But the real gem is their support team. I've only had one issue with the forum going down on their hosted solution - but before I could contact them I had an email from their support team. Five minutes later it was back up and running. Great software by a great company that understands developers, and understands the need to customize and make the forum your own.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

The admin dashboard looks a little outdated (think Windows 3.1) and the analytics while they do the job are not the most intuitive. Also not a lot of "out of the box" integrations, so if you want to integrate with other items you need to build it yourself or use their professional services (who are super awesome). Advanced customization of the forum requires diving into Java code - which can be a pain, but it's also a very nice to have that let's you customize it at every level if desired. It's also a professional grade forum with top tier support - as such the cost can be a bit of a shock if you're used to open source solutions or lower grade forums. But with that said, it's worth every penny.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

Create a matrix of what's important to you and who your audience is. Candidly, AnswerHub may or may not be the best choice based on your needs (although it is the most feature rich). Don't get sold on anyone solution by the sales team, instead evaluate each forum against your matrix and ask for a demo to make sure it meets your needs. In our case, AnswerHub was the easy choice. But we're also focused heavily on developers who have their own unique requirements for communicating (ie code highlighting and support).

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In both cases I've migrated off of existing Q&A software for a developer community. The Q&A solutions we were using were just as costly, but didn't provide nearly the capabilities of AnswerHub. As such we had lower community engagement and lower response rates. By moving to AnswerHub I wanted a solution that was more customizable, could be tied into our other systems, and that would allow for community moderation. As a result, in the first case we grew community engagement significantly. The second is less than a year old, but we are already seeing increased engagement, easier to read answers, better code support, and better engagement.

  ### 9. AnswerHub: a great community support solution, even better for developer communities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Byrne R. | Senior Product Manager, Developer Products, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2020

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

AnswerHub is a great solution, with special design sensitivities for developer communities. Gamification is built-in, and the people and company who back the product provide great service.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

I have three areas I wish the product would improve on:

1. Better out-of-the-box themes. The themes provided are by no way "bad," but the designs do not feel very modern.
2. Administrative UI. The design of the backend is very functional. However, there are some tasks, like user management and permissions, which could benefit from greater overall user experience.
3. Plugin user interfaces are a clear after-thought. The usability of these critical components should receive the same amount of time and care the rest of the product does. This is especially true of the GDPR plugin.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

I have no specific recommendations.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AnswerHub is the hub of our developer community. It provides a great way for developers to not only answer each other's questions, but to find questions to answer in the first place. AnswerHub provides us with protected/private areas to manage private betas, and interact with smaller customer communities securely.

  ### 10. AnswerHub provides a lot of good tools for Q&A

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2020

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

It can be customized by local developers

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

There are occasional bugs in the system such as bad redirects

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a working Question and Answers site hosted by AnswerHub

  ### 11. Great for basic use, not great for all customization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2020

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

It is great out of the box, there isn't alot you need to do to get it to work well.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

Adding some customization can be difficult, and there are breaking changes in a lot of updates.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

None

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Support for software at the place I work.

  ### 12. Excellent for Q&A

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2019

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

- Easy to deploy and maintain

- Intuitive administration and setup

- A lot of features for customization and configuration

 - Excellent Support service. Quick response.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

Some settings regarding Administration permissions and roles could be a little bit tedious and confusing. But with time you get the hang of it.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were needing a Q&A for our software solutions in order to provide a better support for our Customers. AnswerHub is perfect for this kind of tasks.

  ### 13. Best Q&A forum serves the purpose

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2018

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

It is very reliable application. We have had very few issues when we were running it on prem. Team would help you customize the themes based on your need.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

Company has grown a lot and hence they have struggled with support. Most UI and admin features have not improved over the years. Cost is little high too.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

Checkout their UI feature improvements. See how frequent they are evolving now. And also see price per your questions volume per year.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Answerhub for our internal developer QA forum.

  ### 14. AnswerHub

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2018

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

One of the aspects of AnswerHub that I like best is the quick response time.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

A downside to AnswerHub is the presence of unprofessional answers.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AnswerHub offers solutions to work around technically difficulties that may arise from using other websites.

  ### 15. Great place to learn from other developers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2018

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

AnswerHub is a very helpful forum for researching tools and problem solving with other devs. I like the UX/UI and it's easy to navigate and find features.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

It would be nice to have more document management options or link to google drive, but I can also understand why people don't want to link to google drive. Access and privacy can be all or nothing.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

saving time and money when a certain skill isn't in my wheelhouse. I can count on advice from other professionals

  ### 16. AnswerHub

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

Quick deployment and responsive support/service.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

Not much configuration available through UI without coding/custom solutions.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a User Community. Engaged users.

  ### 17. Answerhub has provided an easy to use, feature enriched tool to help manage complimentary support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim K. | Technical Writer + Support Operations, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2016

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

Quick to implement
Easy to administer
Feature rich
Excellent Support which is very responsive
(when support is correctly or incorrectly perceived as "slow to respond" they still meet expectations and surpass other vendor support response times)

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

Reporting is not as robust as it should be. Though other tools can provide this function, it would be good to improve on this as an out of the box solution that can meet customer analytic requirements.
Documentation can be improved on

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

Engage the Customer Success Team as they can quickly get you the answers you need to make your decision

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Answerhub has provided a great tool to enhance complimentary support.
Through the community we have realized many benefits, including:
 - additional insight into how customers view our products
 - new use cases
 - where improvements can be made
 - innovated solutions to issues
 - community answering questions freeing up forum resources to look at the more complex issues
 -

  ### 18. Easy and fast tool to use as a Q&A site

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sylwia G. | Knowledge Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2016

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

- Powerful for building the knowledge base based on questions/answers
- A great channel for less official customer support: it enables to provide tips, suggestions or incomplete answers which are sometimes good enough for the customer’s need rather to create a ticket in the support system.
- Spaces, topics, questions and ideas can be clearly organized and managed
- A user contribution is well tracked, reputation is clearly visible
- The reputation gamification is cute.
- The related questions feature is really useful
- Topic list is useful, if people tag questions appropriately. Also useful in finding out the experts in certain areas and questions in that area.
- The team is eager to improve the tool by adding new features.

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

- Unfriendly admin console
- A large range of roles (permissions) for specific actions on the site might be overwhelming at first

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

If you want to reduce barriers between people, departments and companies and build a knowledge base, built by experts who answer questions- the Answerhub is a perfect solution for you. It is a tool that offers more than just a question and answer model; it allows you to create an interactive Q&A community. The gamification really encourages people to contribute and build own expertise.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While the Wiki-based forum was a great system for building community, it lacked many features that we required. It quickly became evident that we would need to make significant changes to meet those expectations. Instead of re-working the existing forum, we decided that a new solution should be built from ground up for extensibility and scalability, with all the insights gained from the forum.
So began the AnswerHub era.
It is a tool that offers more than just a question and answer model; it allows you to create an interactive Q&A community. Users earn points and badges for useful participation while providing relevant answers to the community’s questions. At the same time, users build up their own reputation as an expert in a defined area. You can also share your ideas to ensure that good ideas aren't overlooked.
The AnswerHub is another way to share knowledge among employees, partners and customers and is a great solution for reducing barriers between people, departments and companies. While posting questions, answers, comments or ideas, together we create an enormous, well-organized base.
It becomes very quickly a prominent tool in the technical domain. The enormous knowledge base, which is built by experts who answer users` questions about our products.

  ### 19. Excellent, easy to use application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff B. | Middleware Administrator-Senior, Insurance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2016

**What do you like best about AnswerHub?**

Articles are very easy to create ... You can also upload PDF documents ... Content can be separated into "spaces" if desired ... The support is world class

**What do you dislike about AnswerHub?**

There is nothing about AnswerHub that I dislike. They do an amazing job.

**Recommendations to others considering AnswerHub:**

Excellent product and world class support from the vendor.

**What problems is AnswerHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use AnswerHub to provide online help to Agents and Associates. The result is a stronger user base.
