Amazon with its groundbreaking research facilities enabled a marvelous Optical Character recognition software that is capable of extracting text from documents and forms without hassle. Even though there are free tools like Google Tesseract and MODI suite from Microsoft. These require a lot of tweaks and multiple trial and error scenarios to get the desired outcome which in turn requires a lot of time and patience to deal with. So the project even might cross deadlines trying to find out the best possible configuration to deal with such free tools, on the other hand, Amazon's Textract is built with thousands of free templates to choose from and with the elastic search what Amazon claims can store millions of indexed document templates.
