Calling the Textract API is straightforward, and it has incredible accuracy. I initially needed a tool to extract data from invoices, which was proving tricky, but now AWS fully supports reading from invoices. Great for automating business processes! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Amazon with its ground breaking research facilities enabled a marvelous Optical Charector recognition software that is capable of extracting text from documents and forms without hassle. Even though there are free tools like Google Tesseract and MODI suite from Microsoft. These require lot of tweaks and multiple trial and error scenarios to get the desired outcome which in turn requires lot of time and patience to deal with. so the project even might cross deadlines trying to find out the best possible configuration to deal with such free tools, on the other hand Amazon's textract is having built with thousands of free templates to choose from and with the elastic search what amazon claims can store millions of indexed document templates. Nothing as such but a suggestion though, if its provided free of cost at least for some time then it can enable business users to experience the real power of it and also individual developers can contribute their development to the community thereby improving its abilities.
