Amazon Textract is a powerful cloud based intelligent OCR tool for extracting text from scanned pdfs to handwriteen documents/Images. It uses a unique technique to extract data using machine learning from thousands of invoices, documents and templates present over the internet. This not only elimintates the need of additional hassle in customising stuff when using other OCR tools but also it improves the efficiency of the overall process by reducing time required for development and cost of the overall project. Its implementation is some what easy but not that easy as Amazon claims, one has to perform multiple tweaks to get our desired outcome which is common with every other OCR softwares in the market like Abbyy etc. Artificial Intelligence will not work that effectively when using Textract on handwritten documents Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
