Very comprehensive offering for all hospital clinical departments. Allscripts continues to watch the healthcare arena and updates areas of their software suite as needed. Several people in an organization must be trained as super users and take the configuration course. Onsite setup, as well as training, is recommended to get off to the right start. Accessing the program through Citrix sessions really slows things down. This also introduces a degree of instability with the connection; I've found that sessions will frequently and suddenly terminate, right in the middle of documentation. I'm not sure if this is the program itself, or because it's being done in/through a Virtual Machine, but switching between tasks in the program is very slow and "laggy." The software provides an easy to use interface for data loading and report execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Altera Digital Health - Sunrise? Well our company is on version 7.5 FP2 and needless to say we're far from the current version. Allscripts is not playing nice with contract negotiations, so we decided to explore the competitors' software. We may be a small client in terms of revenue to Allscripts, but we are still a client and if that's how they opt to treat us, I don't see many other clients staying on board. I like that it is comprehensive and does its best to to give users access to everything they would possibly need. I have never experienced it go down, and it is rarely if ever "slow". If it was more user friendly, I could spend more time learning about my field, rather than learning how to use and navigate Sunrise. There are too many options and too many filters.
