## About AICHE
AICHE is a voice-to-text productivity tool designed for people who think faster than they type. With a single customizable hotkey, users can press one key, speak naturally, and instantly receive polished, AI-enhanced text ready to paste anywhere. AICHE eliminates the bottleneck between thought and written output, making it ideal for developers, creators, and professionals who spend their day in chat, email, and documentation. AICHE works across all major platforms — Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPhone — and integrates seamlessly with over 100 applications including ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Slack, Notion, Discord, Gmail, GitHub, Figma, Linear, and more. A Chrome extension and Obsidian plugin extend its reach even further. Setup takes under two minutes: download the app, sign in with Google or Apple, and start speaking. What sets AICHE apart from traditional dictation tools is its AI-powered text enhancement. Rather than simply transcribing speech word-for-word, AICHE's AI removes filler words, adds proper punctuation and paragraphs, and delivers clean, structured text from natural, conversational speech. Users can speak in a stream-of-consciousness style and receive professionally formatted output. Additional AI features include auto-translation to over 50 languages and auto-categorization of notes. Privacy is built into AICHE's architecture, not just its policy. Audio streams directly to AI processors and is purged within 15 seconds — no database storage, no server logs, no analytics tracking. All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3, and local history is secured with AES-256 encryption using each platform's native secure storage. The infrastructure is designed so that voice data physically cannot be retained. AICHE offers a free 7-day trial with no credit card required. After the trial, the Personal plan starts at $4.99 per month (or less with annual billing) and includes unlimited voice notes, AI cleanup, and support for up to 3 devices. The Pro plan at $9.99 per month adds priority processing, up to 10 devices, team management, and API access. For teams, AICHE provides centralized admin, one-invoice billing, and instant seat management at $12.99 per seat per month. AICHE also offers a developer API with pay-as-you-go transcription at $0.36 per hour of audio and an AI text enhancement endpoint at $0.01 per request, enabling developers to integrate voice-to-text capabilities directly into their own applications. Whether you are writing code prompts, composing emails, taking meeting notes, or chatting with teammates, AICHE turns your voice into polished text up to 6x faster than typing.

**What do you like best about AICHE?**

AIChE brings real value to the chemical industry, mostly through its Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), which creates simple, reliable rules to keep plants safe and avoid dangerous accidents. It connects over 60,000 engineers and researchers around the world, giving them a single place to share practical research, learn new skills, and work together. Whether you are working in clean energy, medicine, or materials, it gives you the right data and training to do your job well. Overall, it helps companies work safer, adapt to new technology faster, and build better-trained teams for the long run.

**What do you dislike about AICHE?**

The main drawback of AIChE is definitely the price tag—membership fees and conference tickets are tough to justify if you’re paying on your own as a student or freelancer. On top of that, the organization still leans heavily toward traditional petrochemicals and oil refining, so if you're working in newer areas like biotech or green technology, it can feel out of touch. Navigating their platform is also frustrating; the website is packed with decades of old papers and dense files, making it a real chore to find a quick, straightforward safety rule or technical detail when you need it fast.

**What problems is AICHE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AIChE solves big real-world problems by setting clear safety rules through its CCPS group, helping plants lower emissions, and making sure engineering graduates actually learn what factories need today. For anyone on the ground, this means working in safer plants, spending way less time hunting for verified technical data, and making fewer costly mistakes. Plus, using their courses and certifications helps you pick up hot skills—like green tech or AI—making it much easier to grow your career, jump into new industries, and stand out to hiring managers with solid credentials to back you up.

**What do you like best about AICHE?**

AIChE delivers substantial enterprise value through its Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), establishing standardized, industry-wide risk mitigation protocols that enhance operational safety and compliance across global engineering operations. By bridging technical research and industrial application for over 60,000 professionals worldwide, the institute provides a centralized repository of peer-reviewed data, continuous learning frameworks, and cross-sector collaboration networks that accelerate technology adoption in energy, pharmaceuticals, and materials manufacturing. Ultimately, AIChE serves as a crucial strategic catalyst for engineering excellence, sustainability metrics optimization, process efficiency, and structured talent development, ensuring robust long-term workforce readiness and global operational resilience across process industries.

**What do you dislike about AICHE?**

AIChE can be pretty expensive, especially for students, freshers, or independent consultants trying to pay out-of-pocket for memberships and annual conferences. Another issue is that it still feels a bit heavily focused on traditional oil, gas, and heavy chemical industries, sometimes moving a bit slow to adapt to newer fields like green tech, biotech, or modern data science. On top of that, its huge website and massive paper library can feel cluttered and hard to navigate when you just want to quickly find a straightforward answer or specific safety guideline without digging through endless old documents.

**What problems is AICHE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AIChE tackles core industrial challenges by establishing global process safety standards through its Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), accelerating decarbonization and energy efficiency via institutes like RAPID, and bridging academia with industry to fix chemical engineering skill gaps. These efforts directly benefit you by creating safer plant working conditions, lowering operational risk, and providing trusted technical guidelines that save hundreds of research hours. Furthermore, access to their standardized training modules, certifications, and global network allows you to future-proof your career, continuously upskill in emerging tech like clean energy or AI, and navigate cross-industry role changes with recognized credibility.

 ### 3. Fast Note Dictation, But Accuracy and Formatting Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about AICHE?**

AICHE has been useful for quickly dictating notes and documentation instead of typing everything manually, which has sped up capturing thoughts during or right after meetings. The interface is simple enough to start using immediately without any real learning curve. It doesn't need deep integration with other tools since it works as a standalone dictation step before content moves into whatever document or app it's needed in. Performance is generally fast, transcribing speech to text with minimal delay for clear audio. Pricing feels reasonable for what it offers, and onboarding required no real effort since dictation just works out of the box. The underlying speech recognition handles straightforward English speech reliably, even if it's not flawless across every scenario.

**What do you dislike about AICHE?**

Accuracy drops noticeably with mixed Arabic-English speech or technical terminology, which is common in how I actually talk through work-related content, requiring manual correction afterward. Background noise in less controlled environments affects transcription quality more than expected. It doesn't integrate directly into other apps or documentation tools, so moving dictated text elsewhere means an extra copy-paste step. Some of the more advanced editing or formatting features feel limited compared to dedicated dictation tools, so output often still needs cleanup before it's genuinely usable as final content.

**What problems is AICHE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AICHE has sped up the initial drafting process by letting me capture thoughts through speech rather than typing everything manually. This has been useful for getting a rough first draft down quickly, even though the output typically needs some editing afterward to be fully polished, especially for mixed-language or technical content.

 ### 4. Faster Than Typing: Clean, Punctuated Dictation for Prompts and Draft Docs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shuvajit D. | Buisness Transformation Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**G2 Icon:** Our network of Icons are G2 members who are recognized for their outstanding contributions and commitment to helping others through their expertise.

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2026

**What do you like best about AICHE?**

Dictating is much faster than typing for me, especially for long AI prompts and first-draft documentation. The cleanup is the real win: it strips out filler and adds punctuation, so the text is usable right away instead of needing a rewrite.

**What do you dislike about AICHE?**

Offline mode is noticeably weaker than the cloud transcription, so the overall quality depends on your connectivity. The subscription also adds to an already crowded stack of AI tool costs, which makes it harder to justify rolling it out beyond individual use.

**What problems is AICHE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem it solves for me is turnaround time on written work. Prompts, documentation drafts, and updates used to eat up hours of typing. Now I can talk them out and then edit, which really shortens the gap between having a thought and shipping it.

 ### 5. Zero-Friction One-Hotkey Dictation That Boosts Productivity and Privacy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramandeep Singh G. | Safety Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about AICHE?**

What stands out most about AICHE is its zero-friction, “one-hotkey” design, which removes the bottleneck between thinking and typing. Unlike traditional dictation tools that rely on bulky interfaces or struggle to keep up with context, AICHE integrates smoothly into any desktop or mobile app with a single keystroke. You can speak naturally while it automatically takes care of formatting and punctuation.

For anyone who spends the day interacting with AI models, writing emails, or coding, being able to instantly turn raw speech into polished, professional text—delivered straight to the clipboard—is a major productivity boost. Paired with its strict, privacy-first architecture, including zero data retention, it strikes an excellent balance of speed, accuracy, and security for power users.

**What do you dislike about AICHE?**

Looking at AICHE objectively, the biggest drawbacks are its steep learning curve for custom formatting commands and its dependence on a stable, high-speed internet connection. Since it’s built for power users, getting comfortable with advanced voice macros and custom templates takes some upfront time and experimentation before the software consistently formats text exactly the way you want. Also, because most of the speech-to-text “heavy lifting” is handled through cloud-based AI models to maintain high accuracy, even brief drops in connectivity can introduce noticeable latency or temporarily disrupt your workflow. For professionals who travel often or work in areas with limited connectivity, the absence of a strong, fully offline processing mode can be a meaningful limitation compared with more traditional built-in dictation tools.

**What problems is AICHE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AICHE addresses a major bottleneck: cognitive drag and typing fatigue. It reduces the friction between spoken thought and written text. For anyone who writes extensive documentation, replies to complex emails, or interacts heavily with AI models, standard typing—and even clunky, inaccurate dictation tools—can kill momentum. AICHE helps by delivering near-instant, context-aware transcriptions that handle industry jargon, natural pauses, and formatting in real time, which cuts down on manual cleanup and hours of editing.

On a personal level, this translates into better productivity because it keeps me in a state of flow. Instead of wrestling with a keyboard or constantly fixing typos, I can get my thoughts out smoothly into any application. I also appreciate the strict, privacy-first architecture, which eases the constant anxiety around data leaks and makes it feel safer to dictate sensitive work without worrying that my voice or text is being used to train external models.
