The flexible permission settings are also a standout for me. I can determine who can edit tasks, upload files, or simply view information, which has been incredibly helpful when pulling in volunteers from the showroom, design and warehouse teams for team activities. Last month, I organized a cross-department virtual happy hour hosted on Gather. I created a private workspace for volunteers only and locked draft agendas so incomplete plans would not be accidentally shared with all staff. The straightforward interface makes it easy for occasional helpers to locate assigned tasks and event files without lengthy training. I appreciate the ability to leave comments directly on tasks to clarify details instead of letting questions get lost in group chats. Additionally, being able to duplicate entire workspaces saves me a lot of repetitive work. I built a template for monthly virtual coffee chats and reuse it repeatedly, only adjusting dates and activity content. First of all, the native notification system is pretty basic. I rely on Ahsuite to assign event prep tasks to volunteers across different departments, but the platform does not send out consistent, customizable reminders for upcoming deadlines. A few weeks ago, I assigned setup and moderation tasks to teammates helping with our seasonal virtual mixer hosted on Gather. Several volunteers rarely log into Ahsuite regularly, received no automatic alerts, and completely missed their deadlines. I rushed to send separate follow-up messages on Microsoft Teams at the last minute to avoid disrupting the event. I also find the reporting functionality very limited. Leadership often asks me to submit simple summaries tracking event turnout, feedback collection and how many internal activities we run each month. There is no built-in way to pull activity metrics or export task completion data neatly. I have to manually record progress in spreadsheets, copying information over from Ahsuite workspace lists. Last week, I spent over two hours compiling monthly engagement reports instead of drafting plans for our upcoming new hire orientation. There is also no native integration with Livestorm and Gather. Every time I adjust event start times, I have to manually update links and notify participants separately. These issues do not stop me from using Ahsuite daily, yet improved notifications, reporting tools and third-party integrations would free up plenty of time to design better engagement activities for our hybrid furniture team.
