I use Affinity Designer mainly for vector work in my UI/UX designs, and I find the artboards feature really smooth, especially when working in a short time. The biggest advantage for me is that it eliminates the Adobe subscription headache. Affinity Designer is a one-time purchase, which is a huge relief as I don't have to pay monthly just to use a design tool. It's fast, has no bloat, opens quickly, and handles complex files without choking. The way it switches between vector and pixel models in the same file is really handy because I don’t have to jump between apps constantly. The performance is the best, and I also think the Studio Link feature is good; it lets me switch modes on the same file and canvas, everything is right there. I can click into Affinity Photo mode for raster edits and then switch back to Designer. The setup is also straightforward, with a simple download and install process, no account needed, and no activation servers being weird. Once you buy it, you use it—simple as that.
