"Adobe Dreamweaver: My Honest Take After Using It"
What do you like best about Adobe Dreamweaver?

What I like best about Adobe Dreamweaver is how it gives me both a visual design view and a full code editor in one place. I can drag-and-drop elements when I want to move quickly, but I can also dive into the HTML, CSS, or JavaScript directly when I need precision. The real-time preview is a huge time-saver because I can instantly see how changes will look across different devices without constantly switching browsers. Its integrations with other Adobe Creative Cloud tools also make it easy to bring in assets from Photoshop or Illustrator without breaking my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Dreamweaver?

What I dislike about Adobe Dreamweaver is that it can feel heavy and resource-intensive, especially when working on larger projects — it’s not the fastest tool to load or run. Some of its features feel a bit dated compared to modern web development workflows that rely on lightweight code editors and build tools. While it’s beginner-friendly in some ways, the interface can still feel overwhelming at first because there are so many panels, menus, and settings to navigate. Also, the subscription cost can be hard to justify if you only use it occasionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Editor, Yet Bogged Down by Cloud Issues"
What do you like best about Adobe Dreamweaver?

I like using Adobe Dreamweaver for hand-coding HTML websites and appreciate its capabilities as a search and replace tool, especially with regex. The editor enables me to write clean code with helpful color coding, indentation, and overall presentation. I find the autocomplete and auto-close features on tags to be quite useful, making it a nice tool for hand coding. I also appreciate its versatility in saving various formats, like HTML and text files. I often edit CSS and manage or edit SVGs directly within Dreamweaver, including doing some animation. It's versatile enough for any type of scripting I need, including editing JSON, XML, and XSLT. The snippets and tools available give me a head start, and it's generally easy to set up and use. I've used Dreamweaver heavily for years and value how it lets me code myself while staying current without relying on automation tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Dreamweaver?

I think that sometimes there's a lot of lag with the color selector, image selector and the product in general since it went to cloud-based management several years ago. It seems these issues would have been resolved by now. It definitely requires a high bandwidth connection to run smoothly, and there are times I'm locked out of files or experience delays. Also, Creative Cloud in general is a huge memory hog on my MacBook Pro. It sometimes updates at inconvenient times without considering the user, which can be frustrating. Lastly, the excessive cost and confusion with licensing, plus constant upgrades and what feels like greed behind Adobe, are issues for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
