## Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) Reviews
  ### 1. Orion Advisor Solutions Adeptia Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cale H. | Manager - Product Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Our use of Adeptia allows us to very quickly code/integration to a number of different vendor formats. This allows Orion to set up a data flow between Orion and a vendor within weeks, instead of relying on our development pipeline, which would typically take many months. The GUI funcationality of all of the configurations allows us to bypass a developer's time and effort, and allows employees with less technical skills to take the place of developer effort. This makes Orion more efficient, and will save Orion costs in the long term.

Orion has also been very happy with the customer support provided by Adeptia, as the support is always very timely and when we've had production incident, the Adeptia team was there to support 24/7.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Most of our concerns are very minor, so finding something to dislike is rather difficult. If we had to find something that challenges us, its the mapping functionality in data transformation. While working in mapping, we often get errors that are hard to troubleshoot, and there are even times when we creating errors through mapping expressions that are not evident or defined by Adeptia Connect, leaving us a little lost in how to correct the error we have created.

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adeptia allows Orion to focus its developers time on internal needs rather than building out format and anomaly logic for direct feeds. With this, Orion can use other means than developers to develop these feeds. Also, Adeptia allows Orion to create direct connection within weeks, rather than months or even years when our developers were creating the direct feeds.

  ### 2. Unmatched Versatility in Data Transformation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany Z. | President and Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

I like the usability of Adeptia Automate for the end user. Not only does it have systematic automations, but even when manual intervention is needed, the system displays information in a non-technical and user-friendly way. I find the possibilities with this system are endless, and while there are proven use cases, it's the foundation for automation through data transformation. I appreciate Adeptia's ability to adapt to upcoming needs, proving they are one of the best partners.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

n/a

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adeptia Automate to seamlessly convert data into different formats, like enrollment, plan data, and contract language. It also presents manual tasks in a non-technical, user-friendly way, making it accessible for end users.

**Official Response from Lauren Davis:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback, Tiffany!

We put decades of industry experience and analysis into building Adeptia Automate to handle use cases exactly like yours, so we're thrilled to hear about your success firsthand. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can be helpful as your needs evolve in the future.

  ### 3. Empowering Citizen Integration with a Well-Designed, Comprehensive Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Creates the ability to enable "citizen integration", reducing skill requirements for integration staff and putting some integration capability into the hands of business folks who have the actual data context. Well designed, comprehensive solution with well documented capability and implementation approach.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Not necessarily an issue of the platform, but because of it's flexibility there is a risk of implementing in a way that gets in the way of future use cases. Takes good forethought to ensure that you don't create technical debt while still managing ease of use for a given problem.

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexible mapping configuration for external partnerships and ease of implementation for new exchange use cases.

**Official Response from Lauren Davis:**

> This is great feedback, thank you!

And your callout is a fair one. Flexibility without discipline can create downstream drag. One best practice we often share: keep each process flow focused on solving a single problem, and call one flow from another when you need to compose behavior. It's the integration equivalent of not duplicating code, and it pays dividends every time a new use case lands.

  ### 4. Adeptia Connect Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The automation it can provide. We have not run into a scenario yet where we could not acheive what we were looking to achieve. It is solution outside of our own application that can be managed independenty and provide value to our own application.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The complexity or size of the solution that needs to be built for seemingly simple tasks

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For use we are using it to automate the import and export of data out of our own application. Our own application supports a tab delimited format and now a REST API. We are typically helping our customers take files/data from their customers and clients, transforming and mapping to data points within our application and then either creating a tab delimited file to be imported or now taking advantage of our REST API for real time data updates.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Adeptia requires good amount of technical skills to build mapping and error handling functions

Able to accept client data as it is without the need for them to invest in formatting the data

  ### 7. Adeptia - Integrate, Connect and Communicate

Try it out, you will not be disappointed.

  ### 8. Great ETL tool for businesses of all sizes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymond C. | Business Analyst, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The application as a whole is very intuitive and easy for anyone to pick up on. From business line users to developers and system admins, the application is well designed to suit all knowledge levels.
Although it is simple to get started, the tools available are extremely flexible and can be very powerful, in particular, the data mapper functions.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Because the application runs on Java, it comes inherently with some of the flaws of java. In particular, memory leaks. The processflows can be tedious to set up, especially larger ones with multiple streams and object flows. The datamappers are powerful and allow for a wide range of function but in many cases, it requires a strong understanding of the available functions and some creativity to get around constraints that results from the design.

**Recommendations to others considering Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect):**

A clustered environment is a must if this is a business critical application. It'll also help immensely to balance the resource load.

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I utilize the Adeptia to standardize thousands of files daily. Files that comes in all shapes an sizes from various sources. This allows us to be more efficient given the ability to be flexible in what type of files we are able to accept and utilize without issue.

  ### 9. Adeptia Integration Suite

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

For very basic file transfers, this product works fine. The logging is adequate and set-up is fairly easy.

The Provider Web services are a nice feature, and is a main reason for our purchase.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The software is sold as something that is very easy to use, but that is only for very basic file transfers.
Any research into the Adeptia-provided processing requires java knowledge.

The documentation was written by non-native English speakers and in places is very difficult to get through and often incomplete. Most of the included screen shots are blurry. The support site includes a bit more useful documentation but it can be hard to track down exactly what you are looking for.

The B2B processing itself isn't too bad, but features Adeptia accentuates like multiple sources on a data map don't work within the B2B processing. Similarly, when setting up real-time processing using X12 schemas within a custom process flow, the error reports and acknowledgements don't work outside the B2B framework.

Much of support is located off-shore so often I don't get an answer to my questions until the next business day at 3am.

**Recommendations to others considering Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect):**

Make sure you know exactly what you need such as X12 processing versus other layouts, any database connections that would be needed, reporting and logging that would be required, and archiving and data retention.

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adeptia is used for all incoming and outgoing file transfers. Logging is adequate but we have enhanced it.

  ### 10. Adeptia ETL Review, its pretty good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

I like the functionality and the easy to read and use UI of the data mapper, process flow, etc. I like the script based nature of the data mapper. The text based nature of the data mappers allows me to quickly make changes on the fly and read through the logic in an accurate, coherent manner. This would not be the case if only pictographs could be used like in the process flow.

The process flow monitor is fairly good at describing the errors or issues when there are any. Also, the process flow active monitors allow the user to abort or kill which is very handy.
The setup of a datamapper, trigger, registry, and overall process flow are not too difficult to learn and use with enough training. The UI is friendly enough to allow a user to learn on the go as well.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

I wish the help guide was easier to access in that it appeared less picture based (pictograph based) for things like the process flow. I wish the process flow could be created like a datamapper or in text (script) code form.

The nature of the process flow making also gets a bit tricky because of the way that connections and object names change without alerting the user sometimes. Once a change is made, the user has to go through the entire process flow to make sure there are no loose sends or bugs before checking the process flow monitor for additional errors.

**Recommendations to others considering Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect):**

This is a fairly versatile product and has a lot going for it. I would like to see some UI changes that would help the user when creating or using process flows and other trickier areas of Adeptia in the future.

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ETL processing for a massive amount of non-standardized data which must be standardized and moved in a timely manner, sometimes in huge bulk or timings.

  ### 11. Adeptia on premise

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimmy d. | Teamleider/Senior Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The compatibility with servers in Holland (StUF webservices) is one of a kind. Other platforms struggle with basic Xpath/StUF mappers while Adeptia stays on top of its game.

Mapper functionality very good
Adeptia team is always listening and willing to help

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The update and release management could be a little bit better.
UI needs improvement!

**Recommendations to others considering Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect):**

Good product keeps adding new features

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have realized integrations in the Dutch Governement of all kinds.... webservices/geolocator services. But also connecting to API's like Messagebird/Twitter/Facebook/OAUTH. Enable-U is a giant reseller of Adeptia in the Benelux.

  ### 12. Adeptia has been well received, helped us integrate better with internal and external data sources

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The help desk and support team, stellar engineering team. If i have a question or scenario that the help desk can't answer right away, the engineering team gets one back to me as soon as they can.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Slightly antiquated tools, but they are working on a new version with updated tools

**Recommendations to others considering Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect):**

Continue to move forward with the update to HTML5 version of the Data Mapper and Process Flow tools. Overall, Adeptia does a great job. Keep up the good work with the Help Desk and support teams!

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We send data back and forth with internal and external organizations. Adeptia has helped us to easily move that data, control it, schedule it, and monitor it.

  ### 13. Very good Flexibility,

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2015

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The ability to take almost any number of input documents and with a little mapping work you can create an common output for all the inputs. The ability to quickly replicate work done on a previous map or process flow and apply it to a new format or workflow.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The limited ability to trouble/make aware issues that only occur in the logs. More documentation on how to customize logs that get created. Also would like to see enhancements done on the Advanced Text and Advanced Positional Schema's as those are very painful to set up and use and not very well defined. When a Map is copied, the Custom XML Before and After should also be copied, as well as when you create a clone of a node, the Custom XSL Currently isn't copied and it should be. Also a persion should be able to clone the 2nd node or 3rd node, and not always just the first node as you may have the 1st node that has documentation in it and the 2nd node that contains data, and you want to clone the data node.

**Recommendations to others considering Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect):**

Volume of inputs to be ingested with consideration of the event that will be used to ingest those documents.

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking various different input formats of inventoried items from customer partners and consolidating the data to a standardized form of output for the end customer.

  ### 14. Great integration possibilities for (local) government

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Although Adeptia has a steep learning curve, the software quickly allows you to create advanced process flows

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

The mentioned learning curve can scare off users of the software

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a local government and we use Adeptia to connect our external interface with internal services. In the future Adeptia will perform a central role as the main servicebus.

Adeptia has helped Hussmann connect to other databases from other companies and grab information in real time.

**What do you dislike about Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect)?**

Data transfers can fail for certain reasons and require more investigation.

**What problems is Adeptia Automate (formerly Adeptia Connect) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had issues in the past with having the latest data from a certain vendor because their information updates daily. Adeptia has helped us make a connection to the vendor's database to pull it in real time so we won't have to manually do it every year.
