ActionSprout was a unique niche in a platform that helped nonprofits with social media. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** What I dislike most about ActionSprout is that it could not sustain the changes and challenges that happen with social media and is no longer available for use. **Recommendations to others considering ActionSprout:** ActionSprout is no longer available to use; my recommendation is to find another platform to help you succeed if you are a nonprofit. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** Even though ActionSprout is no longer available to use as of May 2021, it did help many nonprofits/cause-based organizations see how important it is to utilize social media for the benefit of their organization. ### 2. This is perfect for someone without lots of time to spend managing Facebook, and it keeps it looking professional even when I don't always have the professional eye. I love that it tells me my highest performing posts and suggests when to use them again. The metrics for data and engagement and reach are so informative and are vital for a nonprofit. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** Can only control Facebook, no other apps. I wish I had the same platform for Instagram or Twitter, but for now we're able to reach a large audience on Facebook. **Recommendations to others considering ActionSprout:** All nonprofits should be using ActionSprout, regardless if you have an established & experienced social media manager. It's incredibly efficient, fun to use, and makes a difference in your online presence. It's easy to learn and will make a difference in your online presence. Because it's such a time saver, I encourage nonprofits to invest in Action Sprout because the money you spend on paper marketing/advertising can be saved and used more efficiently with Action Sprout. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** While I've only been using it a short while, managing our nonprofit's Facebook page has become so much faster, simpler, and more efficient with ActionSprout. This saves me time for other important tasks that are vital to the success of the organization. ### 3. I did not have to log in to multiple accounts to publish images or information, could all be accessed together. My favorite component to this software was the ability to save & schedule posts for a later time. The feedback was very effective, learning why a post received more or less views. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** This program is user friendly however customer service could be more helpful. Sometimes concerns /questions had taken awhile to be resolved. But with the advanced options I was able to resolve most issues through the trouble shoot option. **Recommendations to others considering ActionSprout:** I would recommend this tool, as it saves times and allows for more people to be alerted and contacted. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** Working on building more clientele, advertising the company, posting more nutrition blogs, information to followers within email and social media. This program has allowed for me to reach more people. ### 4. Also love the ability to track ally organizations and see what of their content is performing well, so we can amplify it by sharing on our channels. Ability to track performance of our own content as useful too, but there isn't as much in terms of reporting as we would like for that. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** Kind of pricey, and if you aren't using it for the actions, it probably isn't worth it. If you want to have your followers take action on social media, it's one of the easiest plug and play options. **Recommendations to others considering ActionSprout:** If you want social media tracking & reports, this isn't the best, but if you want social media action, this should be your go-to. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows your Facebook followers to easily and seamlessly take actions like signing a petition, RSVP'ing to an event, and making a phone call without leaving the Facebook environment and with all their info downloadable for you to use. ### 5. You can use it on any device or computer. It makes life easier. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** There is a lot of information to go through so it might be a downfall for some. Also the pictures on the screen are limited to for our the visual learners. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** I realize that take action is essential for everyone in all fields. ### 8. It makes it easy to curate and post content to your Facebook pages. If you have just been thrown into the social media pool, this is a good way to learn to dog paddle. Scheduling and posting become very easy tasks, something you can get done on Monday for the rest of the week. Best of all for non-profits, basic functionality is FREE! **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** It only allows you to post what others have posted. Creating original posts is in the works, I understand, but for now, it's basically you promoting other people/organization's posts. Which of course can lead to synergy if you have non-profit partners in your list. But you still have to manually post stuff you created that you want to "go viral". **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping our FB news feed lively and fresh. ### 9. Tons of functionality for things like sign-ups, petitions, contests, donations, etc. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** Some of what you can do in Actionsprout you can do better in Facebook - asking for donations is a good example. Their default notification emails are also over-the-top. **Recommendations to others considering ActionSprout:** Very well integrated with Facebook, strong choice for follower-engagement, and has nice automated insights if you’re a one-person shop and need some software to help with scheduling and repeating and analyzing posts. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** We run petition campaigns through actionsprout to gather audience email addresses. This is tough to do directly on Facebook, while Actionsprout provides significant functionality, integrates well with your FB profile, and makes output of collected emails easy. ### 10. We like to curate for our audience, but we also want to make it easy for them to take action. With the Sproutlet tool, you can make almost any link on the web actionable while still adding value by curating content. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** I wish the tagging feature worked better in the Inspiration section. I want to keep an eye out for the highest-performing content on Upworthy's page for instance, but only as it relates to climate change and the environment. I thought I could do that, but the functionality isn't great. **Recommendations to others considering ActionSprout:** Try a demo of the goal plan after trying the free version. The support staff is timely and more than willing to answer any questions. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's easier than ever for me to find content to post to our pages, and it's helped us get our actions in front of a broader audience (and with a higher CTR). ### 11. It works very well for that. **What do you dislike about ActionSprout?** There have been a lot of changes on pricing, tools, etc. Most changes have been good but consistency would be better. Also, would be nice to clone actions so you can reuse the same settings. **Recommendations to others considering ActionSprout:** I don't know of anything better for the function it serves. **What problems is ActionSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helps for building an email list and also tracking what content is doing well on Facebook. ### 12.
