"Great UX, Powerful Reporting, and Responsive Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

The UX experience is great. Learners have clear visibility into their courses and materials, which makes it easy to find what they need. Reporting is also really useful, since we can download a lot of detailed information and data to help us make the best decisions regarding the platform. The service provided by the Absorb POCs and Support Team is great as well; they are always open, responsive, and available to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

The process of updating users can be very manual. Also, the features included in Absorb Create—such as the AI training materials—aren’t as good as I expected, so we usually end up using other tools outside the platform for this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Platform with Exceptionally Fast Implementation and Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

I have found Absorb to be extremely intuitive for both end users and admin. This has helped greatly with our internal implementation of the platform. From an admin and set-up perspective i have been very impressed with the speed of implementation, Absorb worked to some incredibly tight deadline to allow us to transition from our old supplier with no lose of service for our employees. The level of support we had through this process from Luke was exceptional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

This may be a setup issue, but when I add Absorb modules from the library, they become visible to users on their primary dashboard. This can look confusing, especially when they’re blended in with mandatory modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absorb LMS Delivers an Integrated, Branded Learning Ecosystem"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Absorb LMS transforms learning from a collection of disconnected trainings into an integrated, branded learning ecosystem. It’s easy for employees to use, efficient for administrators to manage, and well suited to supporting both compliance needs and long-term professional development. What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

I don’t like the new update that moved the dropdown navigation on the homepage from the left side to the right side. It feels awkward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly, Organised LMS with Clear Reporting"
4/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

What I like most about Absorb LMS is how user friendly and organised it is. The platform makes it easy to create, manage and track learning content in one place. I also like that it provides clear reporting, which helps monitor learner progress and identify where extra support may be needed. Overall, it makes the learning experience smoother for both administrators and learners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

The admin side can have a learning curve. some people find the learner side easy, but the admin side can take time to get used to, especially when setting up courses, dashboards, welcome pages or different user groups

Another thing I dislike about Absorb is the AI generated voices. I have used LMS platforms with 99% human voices, which sounds much better and less AI-y. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Partnership with Absorb"
4/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

We have been able to standardize training for our team, eliminate a lot of the manual user functions through our sync with ADP, and now using Amplify and Create, are able to tailor our training to what we need for all employees. Sherrie Luke has been the absolute best partner to work with and I appreciate all the effort she goes through to make sure we are taken care of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

The canned reporting is not robust enough, and we had to use Analyze Direct to see what we needed via PowerBI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Course Creation and Open Library, but User Access Setup Feels Clunky"
3/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

I like that we can create our own courses, and we can also give managers access to their teams. I also appreciate that the library is open for employees to browse and explore, so they can take courses on their own whenever they want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

I think there are a few different parts to enabling a user to take the courses. For example, there’s the step of assigning them the license versus simply letting them take the courses once they’re active.

Also, it feels very systematic, like its user friendly, but not that user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Customisable, Easy Onboarding"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

I find Absorb LMS easy to onboard with its highly customisable interface, which has sufficient functions to cover my learning and development needs. It reduces my admin time and project management tasks because everything is well taken care of. The initial setup was very easy, and I didn't have to do a lot of project management as the Absorb team handled everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

I think the content-creation tool could be further developed to allow for more interactions, and the pricing could be a little cheaper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Flexible System That Makes Admin Tracking Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

It is user-friendly, helpful. Monitoring completions, enrollment system is super easy to use. I do like that we can set reminders, and the way to create reports. Overall, I like the flexibility of the system, as it will make my part as an Admin easy; I'll be able to track the progresses as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

I would say, as we are before launching the program, the whole set up takes a bit longer time than I thought so. I felt bit complex to compare previous system we used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An Authentic Partner in Client Success—Insightful Meetings and Expert Guidance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

I enjoy and learn so much during the bi-weekly alignment meetings with our experienced Client Success Manager. It's an excellent way to ensure that we get the most from the platform. Sharon is a true partner who always finds solutions that work for us, directs us to further useful information and keeps us informed about the latest releases and future roadmap. What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

I'd really like to have a simple way to review and edit all the email templates linked to 1 curriculum without having to open up all the online course that sit within the curriculum. The good thing is that, if enough people request something similar, Absorb is likely to make it happen! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible course authoring soured by weak support"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

The flexibility of Absorb's course content builder is great, especially now that they've added block pages that allow the creation of blog-style training content rather than just 16:9 slide-style content. The voiceover, hotspot, animation, and interaction features allow you to create just about any learning experience you can imagine. While support was generally lacking post-launch, the technical support we got from the CRM integration SME and from our Implementation Project Manager pre-launch were thorough and helpful. The performance of the platform is reasonable, though we haven't stress-tested it yet. Admin and report pages sometimes take a while to load, but this is to be somewhat expected in any LMS. The front-end user experience is pretty responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

Overall, Absorb's base LMS product feels like a patchwork of functional, yet inconsistent and poorly architected features. Combined with frequently misleading (or missing) documentation, poor support, and a development pipeline that seems to be prioritizing flashy AI features over solving real user-reported problems, I would have a hard time recommending this product to most businesses, especially multilingual ones.

The biggest weakness has been the support received, particularly post-launch. When making one adjustment to our contract and one new feature purchase, we needed to repeat the request five times (three times directly with our account manager) as well as remind them for a follow-up on two additional occasions. The standard technical support and documentation has also been abysmal. Support staff would often contradict the information found in the docs. On one occasion, a (human) support staff mentioned a part of the platform that simply didn't exist, which was presumably an AI-hallucination that they simply didn't read before sending to me.

I've also encountered four small issues with the base Absorb LMS, which I confirmed as being bugs by their support. Despite being fairly small bugs (a custom field displaying incorrectly on certificates, a font/CSS issue in a nav menu, an undeletable course, and an infinite redirect loop that required clearing my browser data to regain access to my LMS), the time required to address them was insane (5 months, 6 months, and 2 months respectively for the first three bugs). The fourth was never resolved, and instead of passing along my report of the redirect loop to their QA team, I was invited to "make a feature request" about it.

Speaking of feature requests, it should be noted that, in all likelihood, these won't be implemented. I've made a few feature requests and voted on dozens more, and they've all been dismissed as "for future consideration." Many of these feature requests (not just my own) aren't niche new features; they're requests to have the platform work fully and consistently, such as a feature request to have password-reset emails be sent to the user in the user's own language rather than, for some odd reason, the language of the admin who clicked the "send password reset email" button. The radio silence on these is especially frustrating when many of the new-feature rollouts are AI functionality that isn't responding to real user needs.

If you choose to use Absorb, know that when the platform encounters bugs or a feature isn't fully thought out, you'll either be out of luck or will be waiting for many months for resolution.

On another note, prospective clients requiring a multilingual LMS should likely steer clear of Absorb. While Absorb technically supports this use case at a base level (the main UI/buttons, course content, and notification emails do support translation), most customization options and features beyond this don't support multiple languages. For example, the "welcome" container block on the user dashboard is the only part of the interface that supports custom translated content. Footers, custom tiles, custom user fields, FAQs, terms & conditions, and others I'm likely forgetting do not support translation. This makes Absorb usable for this use case, but multilingual site owners will be missing out on many of Absorb's features, since these seem to be developed independently from one another and without consideration for the multilingual use case.

The cost is quite high compared to alternative approaches, and the limited customization options outside the course builder itself make Absorb's value questionable.

I'll also mention that SSO integration isn't very well thought-out; you can have SSO enabled on one domain, but it's not enforced based on a user's email across other domains. In practice, this means that a user granted access via SSO on one domain could log in via a username and password on another domain, circumventing the SSO. For organizations that expect to just have a single domain with SSO enabled for all users, this is fine. But organizations that rely, for example, on SSO for employees but user/password authentication for clients might see this as a problematic security loophole. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
