Loved how easy it is to manage multiple displays remotely. The widget integration is top-notch! it was also very easy to implement. we use it to display our portfolio on our big screen on our office for the clients to see. the timed playlist works very well because we got to showcase all our works. it also supports all types of medias so we also display our videos and photos. also our website! The mobile layout feels a bit cramped compared to desktop, making quick on-the-go edits tricky. other than that all the features are very useful specially for studios like ours. i just wish they start implementing a feature where you can also present your PDFs or Power point presentations instead of playing them continuously. Integrations

We mostly build playlists by uploading our own content: slides, project photos, award graphics and short videos made in PowerPoint and our video tools. This lets us repurpose material we've already made for the intranet, Shout Outs and campaigns, including HR and Learning & Development slides with QR codes. On the hardware side, the Yodeck player plugs straight into existing office TVs. We can also turn some screens on and off remotely from the portal. Yodeck now connects to Microsoft 365, for example to show Microsoft Planner boards, so we'd like to try connecting more of our Microsoft 365 content in future.

Pricing / ROI

The setup cost was low. We bought a small batch of players and used TVs and wall mounts we already had where we could. The biggest saving is time. A small HQ comms team updates every screen from one portal, and nobody on site has to manage content. It also gives us another way to reach staff who don't sit at a computer, alongside email and the intranet. Engagement has been strong. After the first screen went in, staff responded well, and other offices started asking for their own screens. We're now looking at adding screens at sites with 50 or more people.

AI / Intelligence

The automated monitoring is the feature we use most. Yodeck emails us when a player goes offline, so we can sort out problems before staff notice a blank screen. Our plan also includes Yodeck's newer AI features: the AI Agent, which manages screens from plain-language requests, and Magic Layout, which builds on-brand layouts from a prompt. We plan to try these to speed up playlist setup and layout design as we add more screens.

Performance

Yodeck has been dependable across our offices. Once a player is set up, it runs on its own and pulls each playlist update we publish from HQ, so we don't need anyone on site to manage it. When we publish changes, they go out to every screen at once, and we can check in the portal which content is live on each screen. Content is stored on the player, so screens keep showing it even if the internet connection drops. When a player does go offline, Yodeck emails us an alert, which means we usually find out before staff do. We've had a few short outages, mostly from local power or network issues, but none needed a major fix. We can also turn some screens on and off remotely, which saves a trip to the office. Scheduling content ahead of time could be easier. We can't load a playlist in advance and have it go live on its own on the planned date. Someone has to push it to the screens on the day. For a small comms team, that means a time-sensitive campaign, event promotion or announcement depends on someone being available to publish it on the right day. Content can also go up late if that person is away or busy. What I like most about Yodeck is how flexible it is. We use it for a waiting room screen in a busy GP practice and have quite a mixture of content running on it, including practice news, staff profiles, health information, DNA figures, RSS news feeds and background radio.

I particularly like that I can manage everything remotely. If something needs changing, I can log in, update it and push it to the screen without having to go anywhere near the actual player. It makes keeping the screen up to date really straightforward.

It also gives you plenty of freedom if you want to do more than just display images and videos. I've been able to use custom HTML and web content to create things that are much more tailored to what we need.

We're running it on a Raspberry Pi and, once set up, it's been very reliable. Most of the time I can just leave it running and only log into Yodeck when I want to change something. For what we use it for, it does the job extremely well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There isn’t much I actively dislike, but the layout editor can feel a bit clunky at times, especially when I’m trying to build something more customised. Positioning and resizing different areas isn’t always as intuitive as I’d like it to be.

I’ve also noticed that the preview doesn’t always behave in exactly the same way as the actual player. For instance, I’ve had web content and audio streams that don’t work properly in the preview, but then run fine on the screen itself, which can make troubleshooting a little confusing.

Some of the more advanced options can take a bit of time to figure out as well. Yodeck is very straightforward for basic signage, but once you start using custom HTML, web pages, background audio, and more complex layouts, there’s definitely more trial and error involved.

Cons Confusing Media Management: The workflow can be a bit confusing at times, specifically when navigating the difference between adding media directly to your library versus uploading it straight into a playlist. The platform provides a lot of freedom when creating visuals that will engage our clients. The connections, the apps, and ease of use make Yodeck a very trustworthy platform. I've been testing for some time and seeing how fast I can go from idea to publishing on screens. While using it, I had some questions, and the AI tool built into the system helped me understand a few things. When I started using it, all possibilities became very clear to me, so the onboarding was painless.
