As with any new program, platform or application, using Viewpath may appear challenging at first, but because easier as the weeks go by. Perhaps the best thing about facing these challenges is the customer service provided. When it comes to task relationships for detailed construction management it falls short. There aren't enough options for task relationships (only start-start, start-finish, and finish-start).

The resource scheduling feature seems like it could be improved to help people manage group work load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The things that set View Path apart from other Gantt chart planners are the ways it allows customization.

We use the following features:

Resource Availability: we use this to rank worker efficiency. A slow or fast work automatically lengthens or shortens the task time.

Assignments: Adding more workers automatically changes the task duration.

Gantt: The Gantt displays work completed vs total work.

I've looked at and tried other Gantt products. This one is the best for us.

Best of all, support gets back to you fast if you have questions or problems.

Things I'd like to see improved are:

The task is marked complete when total hours worked equals budgeted hours and it is automatically marked as completed. Sometimes tasks take longer than scheduled. I'd like to see a better way to monitor hours over budget.

Little integration with other programs. I'd love to have both time and attendance and View Path together. View Path does have a very basic time and attendance, but it's not adequate for or needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can access Viewpath from any web browser without installing any other software. I like that I can sort view only those tasks that belong to em by running reports. I like that i can control what projects are listed in reports based on what project tabs are open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Viewpath can be a little unwieldy when there are many (think hundreds) of simultaneous projects with many (think a hundred or so) tasks per project and many (think dozens) users. Load time becomes a little slow. Additionally, it doesn't seem like the time between "checking a box" and the server registering that the box is checked is instant; sometimes I'll check a task as complete, and then minutes later when I'm leaving the webpage I'll get a warning. simple data entry, support for dependencies among project tasks, calculates duration based on allocation and estimated work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

resource management view assumes everyone works a 40 hour work week, this didn't work well for a company with multiple part time resources. Intermittent issues calculating project budget lead us to manually check the math before every quote. The timer did not work. If you refreshed or closed the browser, you'd lose logged time. We ended up using Zoho Invoice's timer and manually entering logged time into Viewpath. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
