"Easy Video Outreach with Helpful Watch Analytics"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Vidyard?

I like how easy Vidyard makes it to record and share videos quickly. I’m in SaaS sales, and when I want to add a personal touch to my outreach—whether through LinkedIn or email—I’ve found Vidyard makes it really simple. I can send the video as a link and then view all the watch analytics afterward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vidyard?

I personally prefer Loom, as I find Vidyard less intuitive. The two platforms are quite similar overall, but Loom feels just a bit easier to use. My biggest challenge comes when I’m screen recording: I have an ultrawide monitor, and I often struggle to capture the correct portion of my window. Loom handles this much better for me. "A better video experience without maintaining our own player"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vidyard?

Vidyard Hosting has given us a cleaner way to manage video without pulling storage, delivery, and player infrastructure into the frontend. We keep the library centralized and embed videos only where a page actually needs them. That also means marketing can swap out a demo without asking us to rebuild the surrounding page. CTAs are another helpful part of the workflow, because the video can lead somewhere instead of simply ending and hoping the viewer knows what to do next. On Teams, we can customize CTAs with HTML and CSS and even include forms, calendars, or other interactive elements. We used this in a product demo by placing a meeting CTA immediately after the section that showed the main outcome, rather than sending the user back to hunt for a button elsewhere on the page. Theater Mode and Picture-in-Picture have also made longer demos more practical. They may sound like small player improvements, but they matter when someone wants to keep listening while moving through the rest of the site. Automatic captions on new videos have been useful for accessibility and for silent playback, too. From a frontend perspective, I appreciate getting these improvements from the player itself instead of maintaining yet another custom UI layer that eventually becomes our problem. What do you dislike about Vidyard?

Vidyard handles the delivery side well, but your frontend can still hurt Core Web Vitals if it loads multiple players right away, reserves space poorly, or drops videos above the fold when they aren’t really needed. On our end, we rely on lazy loading where it makes sense, keep dimensions stable, and avoid initializing several players that most users will never reach. The platform reduces infrastructure work, but it doesn’t remove the need to make smart frontend performance decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Video Emails That Make Outreach Personal"
5/5
What do you like best about Vidyard?

I love how simple Vidyard is to use. I can record a video with the Google integration and attach it straight to an email without jumping through hoops. I can start a draft in Gmail, record with the plugin, and send it right away. It helps with my cold emails, and using the camera makes it easier to have a conversation with someone who signed up on my website and show them I’m a real person. Setting it up was simple and took maybe five minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vidyard?

No issues at all! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy Demo Recording with Valuable Viewer Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Vidyard?

I like how easy and quick it is to screen-share and record demos. I can make a concise but powerful demo for prospective clients instead of sending them a demo link. I also like getting an email when someone views a recording and being able to see how much of the demo they watched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vidyard?

I believe external users can noww see videos using their own email, without being forced to create a vidyard account. If that's the case, there's no much more I can point out Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Screen Recording with a Generous Free Version"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vidyard?

I find Vidyard easy to use when I need to demonstrate something on my screen to teammates or clients. Its Google Chrome integration works across my laptop, and it’s easy and straightforward to use. I like that the free version has a lot of room and capabilities, including video recording, and that I can use it pretty frequently. The initial setup was pretty straightforward too. What do you dislike about Vidyard?

It was hard to continue to use this at the corporate level as many companies had the videos blocked so they could not play. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great technology for personalized videos to customers and internal communication."
5/5
What do you like best about Vidyard?

We no longer use Vidyard as some of our processes have changed and we no longer have a need. I still believe its a great tool and our decision to change had nothing to do with their capability. I would use it again if the need was there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vidyard?

No new updates. See note above. We no longer use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
