## TestProject Reviews
  ### 1. Testproject : Easy Test Automation Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek K. | QA Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2022

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

Test project is an easy test automation tool for web mobile and Api testing.
Help to automate by recording clicks.
A codeless test script can be easily created without much knowledge.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

Not a significant dislike I have found, but I have seen multiple times that Test project agents get disconnected; this can be fixed in upcoming updates.

More and easy support options are required.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves a lot of time as it doesn't need coding, and it also has an AI feature to fix XPath issues that occurred while running the script .
Easy to use and understand the functionality of the tool.

  ### 2. Best automation tool for web and app testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saurabh M. | Content creator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2022

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

I love how testproject.io has been making my life simpler for recording automation tests and not having to code it all down from scratch as like in selenium and appium.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

There's no downside to using testproject. However, there's two concerns that i have. It is the inability to test audio output and that sometimes testproject is unable to detect objects on the web screen.

**Recommendations to others considering TestProject:**

I'd definitely recommend testproject.io to anyone who'd like to begin with automation testing

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use testproject.io everyday at work to run tests on the app my company is developing. We've infact integrated reports from testproject to our slack. And we've also been able to setup scheduled jobs for the same.

  ### 3. Easiest automation with amazing support with no cost - So Cool!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daksh P. | Sr. QA Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2022

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

Test Project is very very easy to install and definitely, it's so user-friendly as it does not require any code-level experience, not even technology-related knowledge. And the functionality of Record and Play for testing is so super and comfortable compared to other software. I would like to add one point about their support team as they are so helpful and always available with the solution also if we found any bugs then they accept it and provides the solution with a new version which is extremely amazing.

I have tried multiple automation tools. but non of them like TestProject.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

Below are the points which I am not satisfied with.

1) so many times I've faced issues like Test project agent remains disconnected even after you launch it or restart the agent.
2) If your device gets turn-off/due to a network issue agent gets disconnected then the job will go failed as there is no solution available for it.
3) Having an issue with record and play test cases while we have a web application that is using HTTPS protocol and it's required to click on "Advanced" at the time of Login (Support team also not help us on that scenario)
4) Unable to find the actual reasons why some of the test cases get passed with "Chrome" browser but the same one are getting failed with "firefox" browser.

**Recommendations to others considering TestProject:**

Yes, You can go for TestProject it will help you a lot as so far I have used it as an Automation testing purpose for WebApplication

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TestProject helped us to build the Automation for our web application where no coding experience is required and our QA team does not need to enable it with coding part which is the best Now our whole QA team even trainees also use the TestProject and due to the easy to use of Record and Play automation testing we have achieved our target for a web application.

The best part is that it's cloud-based, so you can write tests and anyone in your team can run them on any machine, just the agent is needed. In addition, it just works as-is for Chrome, Firefox, and so on without any tweaking and it makes browser tests u created and debugged on chrome.

  ### 4. Great Testing Solution..!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivek M. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2021

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

A good solution to the testing world. Very easy to work with and really useful in day-to-day life. Good support from the team regarding the things you are not able to work out.The support provision is specific to the challenges, as the dependency is not on the bots that give general solutions. If a beginner is working on it, it becomes easy for him with all the support to get up and running. Test Project works not only for the experienced users but for beginners as well. Anyone who will be having access to this application will be able to record a process flow from anytime one wants. Still the best thing comes out is support which the team provides to whatevar the requirement.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

More training is required on the other various aspects of the software. It should go more profound, and that is the ability of this software. Not so much of a requirement is demanded, but some things are still not fully developed. In regards to documentation, it still feels like a whole location consisting of all required tutorial videos as well as helpful articles is currently lacking.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing is a bit easy process now, along with the bug tracking tool and development task solving process provided and managed accurately after starting using the Test project.

  ### 5. A test analysts opinion and comparison of testproject as a new (~2-3 weeks) user.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim H. | Software test analyst/test automation analyst

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2021

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

Very fast to get it up and running. For most (not all) web browser object (element) identification, even the recorded elements are pretty robust and will be repeatedly found in playbacks on other browsers machines and days or weeks after the recording. That's something many automation recorders lay claim to and the first time I have ever seen it actually work!
It also has a very flexible UI/keyword type automation tool that can allow you to create some surprisingly robust and complex tests without once writing any code.

Object identification is very good. Disclaimer I have only used with web browser so cannot comment on the above with regards to iOS and Android testing.

Support has been great so far. Only been using a couple of weeks so I still haven't figured out whether the great support is part of the free plan or a subscription service. Everything I find about pricing just says free, free free lol... if there is a cost for ongoing support which is modest I would consider paying it. If the support I a, getting now is free, then it is comparable to the paid support I have accessed through other automation vendors when on contract at organisations where they were paying a significant amount for a support contract. Again disclaimer I am in the Southern Hemisphere, so unless I want to be up all night any support we tend to get is usually via email due to time zones so maybe paid support for other automation tools like test complete if I were in the US would be better than it has been here, but as it is TestProject support has been amazing. I can't figure out where to buy it is it is paid for (they make it clear the project is always free but not sure if support is or not?) but the level of support I have gotten in the first couple of weeks is on a par with the better quality of the expensive paid support at other automation vendors.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

Too early to say. I wish it had a built in IDE as getting the sdk set up and working in the main ides is not straightforward. I also have not yet been able to import a test back into the TestProject runner successfully (tried to import a grade package and a .jar file, in both cases the actual code was simply TestProject exported code with a couple of steps removed and nothing new added as I was simply testing the import export feature and not my ability to write any meaningful code!). It seems like they have coded the agent to cover a lot of the dependencies for test automation so hopefully someone contributing to TestProject will do the next thing (imho) and create a lovely TestProject IDE in the cloud so we can take all out tests and painlessly convert them to and from code. As far as writing code and syntax, I can't comment as I am a new user and still in the pain stage of getting the ide working and figuring out the dependancies and requirements to make a project that I can export and have TestProject accept it.
As with a lot of IDEs, I feel like learning the coding language and the syntax, is a small thing, compared to getting the damn ide set up properly!
So I hope one day they put in a test complete cloud based ide where you can just choose your language and wollah... everything is set up and good to go.. I personally would pay a small subscription for that feature.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too early for sure, basic stuff is very easy and quick to get working. The UI tool at first didn't appear to have anything similar to your standard if/else or switch function, well it does but it works a little differently.
Using a cab file for data driven testing is very quick and painless to get working at a basic level but if you have tests calling sub tests you either have to pass the parameter from a local variable on the master test to a global variable and have the s test access it from there (which means writing a whole lot of "set value of parameter" steps) or if you write all your steps in one big ole master test then when you ar sure it is all complete and working properly you can select steps and choose to group them into a sub test. When you do that it automatically detects any local parameters you had been using in those steps and gives you the option to pull those values through from the master. However if you add the sub test separately (ie didn't write its steps in the master test) you don't seem to get that option so have to call global parameters and then you end up with either a hodge lodge of some tests pulling thru local param's from the master and others using global Params that you have to add steps to pass values to in the master... or for consistency, you just set up every single variable(parameter) you will use in the test as a local parameter in the master test and the. Pass every single local variable to a global parameter (so you have to create each global and then write steps for passing each local parameters value to it at the start of your master test.

There may well be ways to code around this that I haven't found. But if there are I also haven't found any documentation on how the built in csv processing works, which is a pity as I imagine if there were then rather than trying to code all the to and fro'ing of data from csv to local or global parameters you could utilise built in methods that they must have somewhere to run the built in csv data driven test option? Again this might be there and I just haven't found it yet lol
Overall though, I am finding this a very well thought out, very capable automation option, that is on a par if not significantly better than some of the paid options that cost many thousands of $$per seat.
It's also great that it can be all cloud based so you can write tests and anyone else in your team can run them from wherever on whatever machine, they just need the agent. And it also seems to automatically just make it all work for chrome, Firefox and so on without any tweaking needing to be done to make browser tests u created and debugged on chrome work on ff etc.

  ### 6. Great automation platform for web ,API and mobile testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2021

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

Test project makes your life easy by its Artificial intelligence and self-healing of your recorded test script. In addition, Test project Addons it's a huge help to building custom scripts without any hard code effort

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

- Sometimes Test project agent remains disconnected even after you launch it or restart it
- there is no solution to run a scheduled job when your device is off. It requires a cloud execution integration to achieve it, or you might need to set it up through Docker, for instance.

**Recommendations to others considering TestProject:**

If you are looking to become a test Ninja, TestProject helps you!

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Test project helps me have daily runs of my test cases without manual checks and perform regression testing daily only by clicking a single button, or triggering test runs during deployment.

  ### 7. Excellent Choice for Testing And Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anmol B. | Quality Assurance Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2020

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

TestProject is not just a tool but a complete testing solution in itself. It's easy, fun, and robust. Support is excellent. Community is growing every day. And as the users are growing, so is the maturity in this tool. Lots of new addons are getting added which makes your life easier. As a test automation engineer, I can totally recommend this tool to anyone who is looking for a testing tool

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

I just wish if we can get the release notes of the agents on time. Sometimes the team releases the agent but the release notes are always late.

**Recommendations to others considering TestProject:**

I am going to recommend TestProject to everyone who is looking for a complete test automation solution. 100%!!

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We at Triller are trying to automate our regression and smoke tests. TestProject codeless automation solution is helping us achieve this much faster. We hope to increase our automation coverage despite the limited resources we have and TestProject is a saviour for us.

  ### 8. Great support team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yesigomwe K. | Uganda coordinator, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2019

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

It is very easy to work with and for things you might not be able to figure out instantly, the support team is always willing to see you though. The support provided is specific to your challenges, they don't have bots that give general solutions. The fact that when chats are seeming to be helping, they are available for video calls makes it even better.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

Several times I have to disconnect the device to reconnect again or restart the agent to test after a time out. There is no clear guide on how to figure this out, it is like a try and error hack, I don't know why it happens this way.

Also it is a bit more demanding to set up your environment for iOS tests than it is for Android. In Android it is more of a plug and play while it is different for iOS. However, the team is always available to help you through this if you get stuck.

**Recommendations to others considering TestProject:**

Just top looking at it and dive into it already. It is a great tool.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am automating the tests for our applications. It is coming very well and smoothly. I can already tell the simplicity it is going to bring.

  ### 9. No Words Just WOW

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander B. | Marketing Director, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

Where do I start?

Customer service
Customer service is awesome - probably one of the best I have ever experienced working within the Software industry. Amit and Vlad have been extremely knowledgeable. Not only that but their response time is impeccable no question ever seems like too much trouble. They are extremely knowledgeable about testing processes and ways to do things. Also one of the most important things is that the team are really patient with you. I am not a developer but I do have a basic knowledge of code and development logic, so there was (and still is) quite a few things I need help with. But the team did not hesitate to help me or repeat things.

Pricing
It's free for a basic account and there is no limitation on how many days you get to use the software for (like most of the tools in this industry are). This means that we can go at our own pace with setting up the test cases and really think about what we need to do. This is extremely important because a big part of choosing any software like this is learning how things are done and this varies platform to platform.

There is also an option after 30 days to upgrade to 24 hour support which is $8 per agent which is very reasonable.

The Software Itself
It is very sophisticated. I've looked at LOT of different applications in this industry over the past few months and nothing matches what this can offer at the price it does with the support. It's a tool that people like me (who aren't developers) can quite easily understand after some practice. Balancing that there seems to be no limitations with functionality which is excellent. Also the ability to test on different browser types and devices is really useful!

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

The only thing I dislike is that I wasn't able to find this software sooner! We went through loads of applications before stumbling across this one. I'm sure I'm not the only person out there who has done this.

**Recommendations to others considering TestProject:**

It is definitely worth using! Yes using software like this if you're not experienced with code like me will inevitably be a learning curve. But this platform is well worth your investment of time to learn how things work. And do not be afraid to reach out to customer support - they are extremely helpful and always willing to have a call or a screen share to get you on the right track.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to manually save time testing our application for errors. Sometimes as things change and are updated on the platform, there are bugs that appear even after you have checked them before. By using this service we are able to check different user scenarios without manually having to recreate them. Once the test cases are all setup it's just pressing a button or better - using the scheduling feature.

  ### 10. Was looking for a good automation tool to get my team up and running quickly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay H. | Director of QA and DevOps, Market Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2019

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

I really like how easy it is to get up and running. I like the interface once I got comfortable with it. The support team is beyond helpful. Because some of my questions were pretty complicated and there was do documentation to address my needs, I was bugging them a lot. Even brought up some scenarios that hadnt been thought of where they coded new solutions for what I was running up against.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

I wish there was more training available on the various aspects of Test Project, going deeper into what all it can do. While that might not totally feasable, written documentation would be good too. I ended up asking a lot of questions which of course the team was fantastic on answering and helping me out. I felt guilty bugging them so much.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to get some good meaningful automation off the ground for my team to run in regression. And we have realized daily gains in testing that doesnt have to be done manually. I have done quite a bit of training to get the team comfortable with creating their own automation on some of our bigger projects.

  ### 11. Inexperienced automated testing user

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simeon N. | Mr., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

Test Project caters not only for highly experienced users but for beginners as well.
Anyone who has access to this application will be able to 'record' a process flow from day one.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

Test Project as an application lacks minimum improvement. In regards to documentation I feel like a universal location consisting of all relevant tutorial videos as well as help articles is currently lacking.
Although most of the helpful tutorials are located in the official videos, it is not always clear which topic / process flow the relevant video will follow.

**Recommendations to others considering TestProject:**

Test Project is definitely worth trying out, it might just be the missing puzzle piece which your business needs.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Test Project is a true time saver.
We have found minimal limitations with the application itself.

  ### 12. Great tool

The best part in TestProject is the support team which is always available and provide fast fixes for bugs and performance.

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

There is nothing to dislike.
I tried multiple automation tools. but non of them like TestProject

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TestProject helped us to build the Automation for our mobile application (iOS and Android)

  ### 14. For Beginner it is very good tool.

**What do you like best about TestProject?**

To Begin any test , from any respective steps.
Reports which is usefull

**What do you dislike about TestProject?**

take time to perform each action.
some time device is disconnected in middle of test cases.

**What problems is TestProject solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual tester will interact with thils tool and instead of writing test cases manually , they perform that action and export.
