That said, being able to go from "Hey, we should storm on this!" to having 100+ people adding ideas, images, and files into an outcome-driving page format in less than a minute is absolute gold. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** I will have to return here when I find one. **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Overcoming the global spread of humans to achieve our outcomes through enabling ideas from anyone, anywhere, at any time, with little to no prior setup or notice. It often takes 100's of people to build global scaled solutions. With that, we often cannot (nor would we want to) have every person in every collaboration session. Stormboard enables detailed Brainstorming and more, well beyond the meeting that not only captures and relates ideas, but also provides comprehensive export options to preserve the ideas and more importantly, move them right into the next medium for them to be advanced further. ### 2. It's where I collate my to-do-lists, park ideas, plan, organise and stratagise everything I have going as the managing director of a new business start-up. Now that I've been able to link my stormboard to my google workspace (documents), I'm able to add / access important documents to my stormboard and access these quickly. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** I wouldn't say dislike, i'd consider these as suggestions for additional features i'd find useful... - It'd be great if I could also add my google calendar onto my stormboard. - It'd be great if I could save important bookmarks onto my stormboard. **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** My stormboard is allowing me to track everything I need to remember / consider for my new business start-up. The tool allows me to jot down notes and connect dependencies, such that when you zoom out, you can get a grasp at how complex your project is. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** License/seats. I wasn't the admin for the tool however at some point we had to revoke licenses due to the number of available seats. Its unfortunate that such a powerful tool is hindered by seats/license. I understand that its a business at the end of the day, but perhaps explore other means of monetizing. Maybe have a floating license? n-number of people at once. **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Getting to see the big picture behind the project. ### 7. I also enjoy a lot of other features: voting and seeing who voted, downloading straight into Microsoft office type files, changing the colours and the sizes of the post its, connecting them... and so much more. It's also a very easy to use piece of software, when we have to constantly work with externals (such as clients) it's quite painless and easy to implement in a project. We use it regularly for all of our remote workshops with clients and even our own internal work. It's very easy to integrate into your way of working, as it reflects basically what happens in a real (physical) room, in a very intuitive way. We've not really had a lot of issues, but the few times we've contacted customer support they have been relatively responsive. Not the worst, but not the best either. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** Sometimes the servers can be full (or something of that kind) and users in a team exercise, especially if it's a large group (say 30 pax), will complain of lagyness or some other unexpected issues (like freezing up). This requires people to close Stormboard and open it again. The other big issue is that Stormboard is a massive resource hog on machines. So there's no way we can leave it running in an open tab, because it will significantly impact your computer's functioning. It will cause it to become very slow and even unresponsive. **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Remote workshops. It is intuitive and easy to use and the sharing capability is great. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** I think the Word reporting template is a bit clunky and could be improved. A minor point - I always prefer a fixed font size as opposed to Stormboard determining this for me so would prefer this as a default. I use dot voting a lot and would like to have more flexibility around the number of votes I can allocate to people. **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the problem of having to use canvases on walls with endless post-its. Having said this, there are times when canvases work well but I tend to always use Stormboard. It improves the faciliated sessions I run and makes post-session reporting far easier. The tool helps to divide the topics, and sub-topics, and to add specific content (ex. hyperlinks). It's a great way to gather all the information in one spot, and to keep track of everything. ### 15. Having both structured data AND free-flowing brainstorming in the same tool is fantastic! Not to mention the exporting abilities allow us to report out from workshops/other meetings in a fraction of the time. It is intuitive for new users and the Stormboard Academy is a great resource for self-guided, on-demand training for both admins & end-users. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** The addition of some of the standard process mapping shapes would go a long way in improving this use case for the tool. And an integration with Zoom (similar to the current Teams integration). **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stormboard has improved our global organizations' syncrynous & asyncrounous collaboration capabilities. Our global cross-functional teams are able to collaborate more effectively and feel engaged across timezones. The full team can be engaged simultaneously, entering their information and capturing the interactions with other team members. The data/picture that is constructed by the team enables a shared understanding that is difficult to achieve by other means. The data remains editable by the participants as situations and understandings evolve. Team members consistently praise this tool and ask to use it. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** We are using Stormboard for Project Management. We used their API to populate the data for a schedule in Microsoft Project. Because of this unusual use of the tool, there have been some limitations that we have encountered. In every case, Stormboard has provided alternate ways of overcoming the limitation and, at times have added a feature or modification at our request. **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** This tool allows team members to explain the work they have to do on a project, but they are not left describing their work in a vacuum. They can connect their tasks to the tasks of other team members to show the relationships of the work and the order in which it must occur. It seems easy to set up, though I haven't had the opportunity to lead as discussion yet. **What do you dislike about Stormboard?** Difficult to navigate through notes. Text small and hard to resize. Not always clear that notes have scroll button. Wish I could click on a note and open it in new window. **What problems is Stormboard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows our group to start a conversation on DEIA topic, add content, e.g., links to articles, videos, or just comments. Students who may be reluctant to share an idea out loud are comfortable posting anonymously. The platform is far superior to Jamboard and Padlet, in my opinion. ### 22. We need to have it on all of our computers so that we can access it from anywhere, and it cannot be logged in under the same person on two computers.
