## Postbox Reviews
  ### 1. Full Featured Mail App and More

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott F. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Postbox has a MASSIVE amount of features for a mailing app, so many that I would easily say it rivals Outlook in its abilities to act as not just a mail program but a full contact manager. GMail users especially (like myself) will enjoy how familiar the interface is, and how many of GMail's Labs features are built right into Postbox. They also have updates fast and frequent.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Two things stick out in the dislike column. First, even though this program works on both Max and PC, much of the marketing is geared towards the Mac environment rather than PC, which can turn people off. Also, on the function side, as a GMail user I have many, many tags I use to organize mail, and the Postbox program doesn't allow you to SEARCH those tabs while trying to mark a piece of mail before archiving it, which can be tedious.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Postbox allows me quick online and offline access to ALL my email accounts in one central location without having to change programs, browser tabs, and without having to log in and out of multiple web accounts.

  ### 2. Lots of promise, but underdelivers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randall H. | Distinguished Software Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Beautiful UI, with some great searching and indexing features. IF you want offline access to email with some high-powered search & sort features, it's a great solution.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Even though PostBox is just Thunderbird with some paid-polish, the latest version removed some of the best features like Extensions. Given how slow the developers release updates, it makes it somewhat of a no-go if you want things like Contacts Sync with Google, or integrations with anything special like SalesForce or other tools.

Plus, their Google integration is just confusing and weird all around. The way they try to mix Folders & Labels, and having multiple Junk Mail systems that don't seem to work properly in their default configuration (Google's anti-spam and PostBox's built-in spam) just result in a muddy inbox.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster access to specific emails buried in my inbox, with better sorting features that I can manage with keyboard shortcuts to maintain an Inbox Zero.

Unfortunately, I'm probably going to abandon it because it just doesn't integrate with my company's email (Google).

  ### 3. A Must Have If You Have Lots of Mailboxes to Manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ice X. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

It's easy to add mailboxes that you manage, and the interface is clean!

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

It's a little pricey for a mailbox manager; the company should offer a simple solution to sync mailboxes and settings across all devices. It does not support Android or iOS.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

This app doesn't get updated very often. However, with what it currently offers, I'm not seeing any features that are lacking. It would be great if they bring out Android or iOS support later down the road, as well as sync settings and mailboxes across all devices. If that's what you need, it may be a deal-breaker. Otherwise, Postbox is an overall pleasant software to use.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want a no-ad solution that offers offline access to all of my e-mails. The interface is clean, and that it allows me to view only attachments, which is nice.

  ### 4. Email manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymundo M. | Security Engineer and Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I like it because I have no limits to synchronize or connect emails from different services, I have emails from Gamil and shared Hosting and I control everything from one place.
Themes and graphic interface perfect for work, interpret HTML to send personalized messages.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I do not like that I do not have a version for Linux, perfect tar but that great detail is missing to be able to work on my phone, Windows and Linux at the same time synchronizing everything.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Synchronize emails without limits, work organized from a single professional platform with hundreds of special functions.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main thing is comfort and send professional email without using different platforms, with Postbox I send and receive emails, manage my contacts and direct chat.

  ### 5. Best mail app so far

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica D. R. | Virtual Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Like that it's a unified inbox but able to separate into folders. Like that you can change and customize themes.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Dislike that some options aren't intuitive or have too many clicks (like being able to filter by unread).

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping multiple personal and business emails together but separate.

  ### 6. Half-baked. (Could have been really great).

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erich F. | Co-Founder, Creative lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

It's clean, streamlined and the desktop app is really good. But it has a MAJOR flaw. No mobile companion app.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

It’s the 21st century. 70% + of users check their email via mobile devices. And yet… NO MOBILE COMPANION APP?

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need a good email app for Gmail. There's no benefit to Postbox since there's no mobile companion app.

  ### 7. Terrible support. Buggy software, almost no updates.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khiman L. | Support Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

It looks nice, it's slow but it works most of the time.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Lots of little, very annoying bugs. Release cycle is super long, and there's barely anything new each time except themes. Yes, they try to sell you themes for an email client...
You buy the software, but they charge you 8$ per support request !
Basically you buy a supposedly production ready software, and then when things go wrong, you're no your own unless you pay up, and even then, your issue probably won't get fixed for a few more months.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing more than what an email client is supposed to do really.

  ### 8. Best Email App to Keep Inbox Clean (quickly!)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I've tried them all, Postbox is not the most beautiful but it is the most efficient. I can move mail around in a flash, find it even quicker. I can sort it every which way and there are so many ways to categorize and find it that I can take my inbox from 2000 messages to 100 quickly. This is extremely important for someone that gets a huge amount of mail.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

The customization of the Themes could be a little more intuitive but that is being picky. It could also use Exchange compatibility.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Try it out and give it a little time to get used to it. When you change to another product to get a lot of flashy icons and can't find your mail, you'll be back.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned locating and moving mail is the most important function of any email app in my opinion and I have solved it with Postbox.

  ### 9. Postbox—pretty, but cumbersome...

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley C. | Media and Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

What I like best is how clean and well-organized the user interface is. I have tried many email clients (probably all the majors email apps on Mac), but this one feels the cleanest to me.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Searching and indexing is a little slow. Other mail clients I've tried were lightning-fast by comparison.

Formatting emails was inconsistent. (No markdown support, for whatever that's worth.)

When going through a list of emails (inbox, folders), there is no way to view at a glance any labels assigned. This was a big dealbreaker for me.

(I've switched to an ultra powerful, minimialist email client that is nothing pretty to look at, but more than makes up for it in functionality.)

Also, Postbox charges its users a fee for any technical support (even after you have already purchased the software). The support I did receive was less than great. (definitely inferior to the free support I've gotten from other companies.)

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Maybe keep looking? I've recently found a much better solution for me. It's in the same price range—not going to win any beauty contests, but functionality and speed are top-notch.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Postbox hasn't really solved any problems for me—it handles multiple email accounts like all the other clients I've tried. Haven't found any benefits that outweigh the searching/indexing lag.

  ### 10. Categorize conversations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan L. | Associate Producer, Marketing and Advertising

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2020

  ### 11. It's akin to Google shipping you a supercomputer but neglecting to include instructions

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anita T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I love the visual interface, themes, add ins and the templates. It is a fairly powerful software and has a lot of useful features as tagging, goal setting, in-line text detection and a decent filter.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

No where to get help or learn. Postbox only has a couple general tutorials/help questions for some basic issues. Their helpdesk charges $8 per request.

Hence if something goes wrong - which is common in any sort of innovative software, you are trying to troubleshoot things without any guidance. A lot of their features are powerful but not intuitive like html placeholders, adding templates, changing goals, etc. I don't mind the instability or the learning curve and I'm willing to spend time troubleshooting. However I can't do that without any sort of guidance.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was suppose to help my organize and control my inbox. But no help kinda cancels out any of that. :(

  ### 12. A decent email client, but not super stable

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russ L. | Technical Lead Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Postbox has handled my mail for 5+ years. It still does POP Mail, which I prefer over IMAP. I don't think I've lost any email messages.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Numerous stability issues. After the app has been running for a while on my Mac, things start behaving unreliably:
Undo deleting or moving messages stops working, leaving a weird blank row where the message was in the list.
Sometimes, 'Delete' doesn't immediately delete a message and takes 10s to a minute.
In the past, the indicators for the number of unread messages would go out of sync: The one on the Dock icon vs the unread messages indicator next to my inbox. I'm not sure yet if this new version has fixed that problem.
For the last 2 upgrades from the prior major version, content whitelists have not been migrated, forcing users to re-whitelist scores of email addresses all over again. When I asked about this, they basically said it was too hard to implement.
I get pauses and busy cursors more often that I'd like. Sometimes, when I click on a message to file it, I'll have to wait 3 to 5 seconds while Postbox thinks about it.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

When Postbox starts acting up on you, quit and re-launch it to get stability back.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Postbox handles lots of mail without breaking badly. It allows me to whitelist safe senders.

**Official Response from Postbox Dickman:**

> Russ,

These issues indicate to us that your mail databases are corrupted. Slowdowns, blank rows, busy cursors all point to the same cause. This can occur if you have virus/security programs altering the files, changing file permissions, locking files, etc. Or this can sometimes happen with corrupted media. We recommend resetting the mail databases via Help menu > Troubleshooting > Reset IMAP databases.

With respect to whitelists not being migrated... the move from Postbox 5 to Postbox 6 was dramatic, as Postbox received a completely new technical foundation. While we were able to migrate most of the previous settings, we couldn't migrate 100% of settings either due to technical incompatibilities or opportunity costs. In this case, we felt that we could provide more value elsewhere in the app vs. writing whitelist migration code, as we found that the vast majority of customers did not have extensive whitelists built up. For those that did, then yes, we understand that this was an inconvenience, and we're terribly sorry about that!

  ### 13. Hands down the best email client I have ever used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Glen S. | Freelance Design Consultant, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Version 7 arrived and I have a big smile on my face as I realise that I have bought a lifetime upgrade a while ago! Hands down this is the best email client out there!
I used to use Outlook, but now that feels vile to use compared to this client obviously designed by people that use email! I file my emails and the quick keys are now second nature to me, hit v then type the first three characters and boom my email is filed! Love it!

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

The only addition I'd like is something closer to making emails a to do like in Outlook, that remains the only useful feature that outlook has that postbox doesn't!

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Only to try it and not to listen to the nay-sayers here!

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email doesn't feel like the drag it does in other apps, making dealing with the days inbox a pleasure!
I think feeling less stressed by your inbox is very important to feeling good about your day!

  ### 14. Postbox is great... the best I have found and I have tried many.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Every useful thing you can do with Outlook you can do with Postbox. It syncs with gmail perfectly -set your fonts-signature-add many accounts. It is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Where and how it saves your emails takes some getting used to but you can back them up.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Buy a lifetime license now --you won't regret it---Outlook is bloatware-Gmail cumbersome-yahoo also-Officesuite has issues ---

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sorting and searching is easy and fast. Very efficient.

  ### 15. Nice features but display issues with HTML email

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda S. | Snagit - eu não posso viver sem ele, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I like the interface and ease of use I know this is not the latest design or do not attract much users like current market is moving forward to nice looking interface but i am ok with that old kinda look Easy to use on day to day basis.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I would prefer to have a little more customization in the appearance of PostBox - it's a minor 'dislike', and by no way will it influence my decision to continue using, but having more customization and 'add on' features would be much appreciated Most importantly PGP Encryption o Decryption ability which was one of unique feature in postbox in last versions. But not the ones I sent him

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

As with any email system, decide on your filtering and filing system before you start to use it extensively. This is not like Outlook where it's hard to delete a PST file without physically deleting the Postbox has a free trial and is very easy to connect to existing email accounts

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't think anyway Managing multiple email addresses, folders, signatures, and more. Thats it

  ### 16. Postbox Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I like that Postbox is simple and provides basic email needs for my business.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I dislike that Postbox does not have customer service accessible via phone. They only provide email service back and forth.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Be comfortable with not having customer support quickly accessible.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily organize, send and receive work emails and keep everything in a professional manner.

  ### 17. Good in some ways, but has some glitches

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I feel that it has a nice interface. Though it is based on the same Mozilla framework as Thunderbird, I think that it has as more streamlined "look and feel" and that it is easier to navigate than Thunderbird.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

It does not have as many addons, and the user has less opportunity for customization. It also has a strange glitch with the way it handles emails from WordPress blogs. I subscribe to several WordPress blogs, and Postbox continually merges them in weird ways. For instance, I subscribe to a blog called deadconfederates and another called the Eastman Online Genealogy Newsletter (EOGN). In Postbox when I get an email from deadconfederates it usually shows up with a subject line indicating that it's from EOGN. I have to open it to find out it's from deadconfederates. The same kind of mix up occurs with other WordPress blogs that I subscribe to. I offer this as but one example. This behavior does NOT happen with EmClient, Outlook, Claws Mail, etc. I contacted Postbox support about this issue. They refused to admit that it must be a glitch in their program. They said it was something about my installation. However, this is patently untrue since the same behavior with Postbox occurred on multiple computers running Postbox and with both Windows and Mac operating systems. They asked me to go through all kinds of things to test my system. I refused because it was clear that this was (and still is) a glitch in the way their program deals with incoming WordPress blog emails. The arrogance of their support folks really turned me off. If you don't subscribe to any WordPress blogs this would be a non-issue for you.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

It's an OK alternative to Outlook and it does work with MS Exchange. If the cost of Outlook is prohibitive, Postbox is worth a look. If you subscribe to WordPress blogs, you may find it frustrating.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I said I find Postbox to be an efficient and well-designed program. It makes handling email easy and it has a very good search function. The efficiency of the search algorithm saves time in finding old emails that you need to refer to or respond to. I should point out that I'm now retired, and I use Postbox on several home computers, though I've taken it off the two that I use the most frequently, and have gone back to Outlook, as the WordPress issue referred to previously was too irritating for me to continue to use Postbox on these machines. .

  ### 18. I like the postbox BUT

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fahad B. | Owner, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I like the interface and ease of use. I know this is not the latest design or do not attract much users like current market is moving forward to nice looking interface but i am ok with that old kinda look. When macos new update came out postbox was already being updated and with the latest release of macos i was able to use it right away on updated operating system including new macos dark theme features. Postbox looks awesome in dark mode and does not matter which ever theme version i use it work flawlessly in all modes.
Postbox Company have done a great job since they released latest version.
Right now i do not find any issues postbox and i love the way postbox sync emails instantly.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Sometimes use too much memory.

Postbox 6 do not have 3rd party plugins feature which is good for security but removing plugins for security also removed many features. Most importantly PGP Encryption / Decryption ability which was one of unique feature in postbox in last versions.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

I would like to ask postbox to bring back the pgp function in their email client.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well it allowed me to use my 30+ email addresses at once. Being an old user of postbox whenever they release a major version upgrade they want users to pay again. now they release version 6 and everyone paid and this time they told we do not have to pay again for any upgrades so i hope they will stick with their promise.

  ### 19. Powerful product to geek out on but a flaw in how they handle POP3 accounts

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Message filtering, organization, topics and color-coding feature, favorite addresses feature, tabs.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I don't think they put enough thought into the power user that receives mail for multiple POP3 accounts through one POP3 server and then when the user no longer owns one of the domains they want to turn off the receiving of that particular POP3 account BUT not lose the mail he's received over the year. UGH! Very, very frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Be VERY careful when removing an account under your profile. When Postbox says it will be removing data, they do mean ALL your previous received POP3 emails and not just account data like connection settings. This is not like Outlook where it's hard to delete a PST file without physically deleting the .PST file.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization of multiple business efforts and separate web projects.

  ### 20. Since transitioning to a Mac, this has been the best mail provider I have used.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

It's extremely user-friendly and essential mimics Outlook, which I was accustomed to using on my PC. It keeps track of email threads, without doing it in a confusing way (such as how Gmail does it when using an internet browser).

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

There is honestly not much I dislike. It was hard to find certain things, such as how to make emails "high-importance", but our IT team was able to help me out with that.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

If you are switching from a PC, HIGHLY recommend using Postbox. Every other program will be confusing and will most likely slow down your computer.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows a user to transition from PC to Mac in a very efficient manner.

  ### 21. Postbox is the best cross-platform email client application I have used.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason P. | President, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Postbox has steadily improved over the years and I feel it is the best email client in the market for an installed email application. Things I like:

* Handles an enormous amount of emails and searches them fast
* Easy to transfer between computers and backup/restore
* Supports multiple accounts including POP3 and SMTP
* Clean User Interface and great usability
* Highlighting rules to color message based on specific filters
* Auto-folder or delete messages based on a filter
* Quick reply within the body of the email
* Cross-platform - works great on Windows or Mac
* Autothreading

I initially tried it because my Outlook application was getting super slow and couldn't handle my email archive history. I gave Postbox a try and it had a nice import from Outlook function which made things seemless.

The support is good and they have been responsive anytime I have any issues.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Things that I think could be improved:

* There is no calendar feature
* No tasks feature
* It can occasionally get confused about SMTP cloud email and not allow an undo of a delete to work properly

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Postbox has a free trial and is very easy to connect to existing email accounts. It also has the ability to import email from other email clients.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Postbox allows me to consolidate multiple email accounts and organize, manage, and archive key emails locally as needed.

  ### 22. Good normally but appalling at archiving

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Good clear interface and easy set up. Easy to use on day to day basis.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Back up is non-existent and archiving is so poor it cleaned out my server without warning leaving me with a text file of incoming messages which is pretty useless as it also contains all the associated data needed for sending and receiving.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

I'm going back to Mail or Outlook - which has a new version

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organising email

  ### 23. Dislike a lot...

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Nothing. I hate this email client. But I have too many mails in the archive now and don't dare to switch to another client. I have big problems with their rude archiving function and cannot find back my mails all the time. I now use specific tags on the bottom of mails I sent so I can find them back!

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Very difficult interface. I cannot archive mails in folder structure which is what I want unless in a very tedious timeconsuming way. Now I have toput all mail into the archive. And this archive has the worst Search function ever. If I type the name of a person I mailed with or even the exact email address, I do NOT GET all the emails. I get only the ones he sent me. But not the ones I sent him !!! I frequently have trouble finding mails back. Important mails.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can send and receive mails. Thats it. Actually, it the function to send mails even stopped working, so I now send them online and can only receive with Postbox. Once received, I can only move them from Inbox to the one BIG ARCHIVE. Great!

  ### 24. Finally a decent email option for Mac

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelle P. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

For those who have worked with enterprise level Outlook on a PC and have been unhappy with Mail on Mac, this is a great option. One has the ability to have multiple email accounts running, create folders, create folders that reside only on your Mac, have different signatures, etc.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

When you use multiple email accounts and folders, it is not always easy to drag and drop email into a folder. However, you can right-click and move it anywhere, so not a huge problem.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

It is such an easy purchase and they continually update and make improvements.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple email addresses, folders, signatures, and more.

  ### 25. from Thunderbird to Postbox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tessa W. | Chief Administrative Officer, Events Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I have recently (within a few months) switched email applications from Mozilla Thunderbird to Postbox.
Initially, i favoured Thunderbird for the customization of the appearance of the program, being able to customize the skin/colours, made it easier for me to quickly identify the various parts to the email program.
Having used Postbox solely for the last while, It is easy to see how much more intuitive and powerful Postbox is, compared to Thunderbird.
I use exclusively Apple products (iPhone, iMac desktop at work, MacBook at work, iPad, etc) and Postbox is the perfect fit. It learns your 'junk' settings and has so many more features to increase productivity.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I would prefer to have a little more customization in the appearance of PostBox - it's a minor 'dislike', and by no way will it influence my decision to continue using, but having more customization and 'add on' features would be much appreciated :)

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EMAILS! Today, emails have become a stressful, anxiety inducing part of my job. Constantly inundated with emails, it is a full time job sifting through and prioritizing each email, and ensuring nothing is missed.
Postbox solves this by assigning priorities and creating lists, hidden from your 'inbox' view - but still there with a click of a mouse as to not be missed.

  ### 26. Great Mail Replacement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James R. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Everything in Postbox just works, and it's way easier to set up. I have absolutely no issues separating my mail or setting up custom signatures.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Sometimes Postbox has issues with Security Certificate Exemptions if the email domain isn't registered to the exact name it displays.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Read through the documentation, and definitely use the trial version before paying for a license. The application is easy to set up, it's easy to use, and it runs pretty well with only a couple of small quirks. Overall, it's a huge improvement to the mail app world.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have about 6 different email accounts that I use, and Postbox has done a great job in helping me keep them separate. I never have any problems with lost mail, and it makes conversation tracking way easier than in other email programs I've used over the years.

  ### 27. Nice features but display issues with HTML email

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

Ability to manage several email accounts

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

HTML rendering is behind other email clients

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

Easy to use but may have issues with displaying some HTML emails

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of all email accounts

  ### 28. Postbox is very stable handling multiple different email accounts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2017

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

The ability to manage numerous email accounts on different settings with no delay in sync.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

Picture manipulation within messages is still not as good as native Mac apps (eg. drag and drop from other apps) and also search is also not conclusive.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple domain emails within one system and being able to create and file email better.

  ### 29. It's good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor H. | AngularJS / Ruby on Rails developer, Warehousing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2017

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I use it everyday, the interface is good, it has a lot of options which I do not use but so far is a very decent email client for Mac.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

It is an expensive license and slow sending emails.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My daily email delivery and receiving.

  ### 30. The email client I actually enjoy using

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim G. | Director of Discipleship, Religious Institutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

It's full-featured without being bloated. I find it to be intuitive, speedy, and powerful enough for fairly heavy usage.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I would like to see a better template system for stock responses, and the spam filtering sometimes catches too many legitimate emails.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

As with any email system, decide on your filtering and filing system before you start to use it extensively.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted a full-featured email client that is cross-platform (Mac & PC) and which did not hog my RAM. Postbox does all that and makes dealing with a lot of email easy.

  ### 31. Love, Love, Love PostBox!!!

It keeps things simple and organized. Love the keyboard short cuts!! I like it better than outlook!

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I don't really have any dislikes about PostBox. It's been an excellent tool!

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outlook doesn't work very well on a mac...I don't think anyway...PostBox is a savior!

  ### 32. Beautiful Inbox Management - Excellent alternative to Apple Mail

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin A. P. | Horn, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2015

**What do you like best about Postbox?**

I like the more robust functionality of Postbox as compared to Apple mail. I also find that Postbox fetches my mail much quicker than Apple mail, even if they are on the same fetching schedule.

**What do you dislike about Postbox?**

I don't like the issues Postbox sometimes has communicating with Gmail servers. There have been documented issues between Gmail and Postbox, I haven't had to deal with it directly, but from what I understand the issue has been solved.

**Recommendations to others considering Postbox:**

There are many options out there for email clients. Postbox is a good, solid choice with a few bells and whistles, but most importantly, it works.

**What problems is Postbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm more in control of my desktop inbox, and I'm able to sort and label email more efficiently. I can utilize my Gmail labels within Postbox, and the integration with Evernote is handy.
