Pathwright -- Beautiful Interface for Professional Courses **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Amy T. | Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022 **What do you like best about Pathwright?** Pathwright has amazing customer service (chat service is exceptional) and the straightforward design makes it easy to focus on course content versus course organization. I usually got a chat response within minutes and having that kind of support gave me confidence when troubleshooting the inevitable issues that would come up. Its interface is beautiful, clean, and easy to navigate. The simple design is highly motivating for students since they can easily find what they need and also know exactly what they need to be doing and what they should do next. It takes away the confusion that could lead to discouragement or disengagement. Pathwright also makes it easy to create a simple gallery for users to browse courses and easily register for upcoming courses. Having an all-in-one solution to course management is a huge time saver and makes it worth the investment. I am able to simply direct students/parents to the course gallery so that they can take their time browsing courses and learning about upcoming options. **What do you dislike about Pathwright?** Pathwright has grown in recent years so pricing has gotten a little less affordable for startups. It is worth the investment, however, and there isn't a huge learning curve. There are some limitations with the types of modules that you can create. I suppose that is the tradeoff for the clean interface, having fewer options. Still, it is a breeze to embed videos, text, downloads, uploads, and test features. I don't feel like the interface distracted or took away from the user experience. In fact, having fewer options kept the course clean and easy to follow. **Recommendations to others considering Pathwright:** It is completely possible to launch courses with Pathwright. Invest and save yourself a headache. **What problems is Pathwright solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work with a wide age range so I needed a CMS that didn't require a lot of time to learn. Both young students (8-10 year olds) and adults were able to navigate the course with ease. Especially with COVID and the challenges of new technology for many ages, Pathwright can make education and training accessible to all people, regardless of their age or technological savviness. ### 2. It immediately caught my attention, as an online course creator, since it was very easy to use and artistically beautiful. The "path" layout makes immediate sense to users—it is very obvious what tasks to do in which order. Some other LMS software requires users to visit numerous pages (calendar, schedule, forums, etc) to complete assignments but Pathwright lays it all out in a literal path which makes it easy to create and complete assignments. **What do you dislike about Pathwright?** It was inevitable, but Pathwright has increased its pricing structure since I started using it, making it unaffordable for a business my size. I believe that they have a scholarship plan that you can apply for and may give a discounted rate to schools, nonprofits, and charitable groups. But that is the only thing holding me back at this point. **Recommendations to others considering Pathwright:** Pathwright's support, especially their live chat, is INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend reaching out as soon as you run into a problem because they treat you very well and get back to you with answers very quickly. Although the program itself is easy to use, their support makes it even easier to get the answers you need so there is no need to dig around on Google or forums to try to find answers. **What problems is Pathwright solving and how is that benefiting you?** Online education is the new normal and Pathwright makes it very easy to convert offline course content to online course material.
