**What do you like best about Olark?**

Olark offered the basic features that you'll need for your business to start chatting with customers on your website. It has an easy-to-use interface. Chat is another avenue to engage with customers who are not willing to call or email.

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

It was disappointing that there isn't a mobile app to use to capture chats when away from the computer and the options are very limited. I really think that a major milestone would be to have an app where agents can respond to customers or perspective customers when not at their workstations.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olark was a chat platform recommended to us by someone with a small business. They said not having chat could result in lost customers. I never knew how many people would rather chat with an agent instead of calling or emailing until I saw it for myself. We captured a lot more leads when it was active.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

I really like just how simple and easy it was to pick up and use. We didn't have to have a long training on how to use the software, you just start using it. I also like how you could create custom responses in the software to make things easy.

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

We would put a limit on how many users you could connect to at once, and sometimes that wouldn't work correctly so you would have multiple users you are trying to talk with at the same time. That was really the only issue I had.

**Recommendations to others considering Olark:**

Set up shortcuts so you can respond super fast. Like if you have a greeting always, do a shortcut of that so you just have to type :greeting instead of a long paragraph.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a support team so we are solving issues over chat with Olark. It's a great interface to help users in a low stress environment where they can just easily chat with us.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

I loved being able to connect instantly with our customers and answer their questions and assist them with their support immediately. It made things seem more personable and put names to our customers who use our products. It allowed us to help and get instant feedback.

There were times it would display me as offline or away, which I wasn't, so that would become a bit of an issue, but besides that, the chat itself was easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Olark:**

Using Olark can cause no harm, but more so do good. Allow you to connect and solves your customer problems, and also make things feel more personable for both parties.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chatting directly with our customers and solving any issues or questions they may have regarding our products. Being able to connect with almost immediately and solving problems instantly was always big plus.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

Olark is extremely easy to install and simple to use. We have used for online events during COVID and I was able to train different volunteers on how to manage the chat feature through Olark easily. Love that they make a free trial available.

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

I wished I could put the chat on one page on our website, but it seems like you have to do all or nothing. We use Squarespace, so I'm not sure if it's that specific integration only.

Facilitating questions during online events during COVID; helps us to better engage with folks virtually, which has been tough.

It's a little boxy and customization is not very intuitive

I love the way OLARK works so much that I use it everyday at work.  I love that with OLARK I see the different metrics showing me how many chats I had and the ratings and so on.

The benefits of OLARK are simple...it helps me do my job of communicating with our customers very easily.  Another benefit of using OLARK is the co-browsing feature which I use all the time, it's truly amazing!  WOW, OLARK is the way to go for chatting software that will keep you up with all the lastest ways to interact with your customers.

Yo ucan easily see all of your customers who are currently chatting, even when they are chatting with another agent. You can also see all of your coworkers who are logged in so you can chat with them or easily transfer customers to them. You can look up previous chats to see where you can improve at chatting professionally

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

Our supervisor can set a limit of active chats. I'm my case, my supervisor sets a limit so we don't have more than 2 active chats at a time. I seem to have a glitch with this because sometimes I'll randomly have 4+ chats with customers waiting for a response from me.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are chatting with customers who can't call on the phone, but need a quicker response than email. Benefits realized: there is more connectivity with agents and customers.

We started using Olark a few months back and thus far have liked that it's straight forward, and integrates with helpscout. 

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

The only thing I'd say needs work is the price for add on features. It seems that the price per user makes sense, but everything else is priced in a way to make it unattractive

Definitely make sure whatever program you decide on integrates with your email client. This by far was the biggest factor for us,

**What do you like best about Olark?**

With Olark, now we can have real-time chats with our website visitors who some turn to be customers. I am glad of what Olark can do when implemented and we have also noticed an increase in sales since our customer team is actively talking to customers on our website. The other good thing for using Olark is that it is easy to integrate to Wordpress and other softwares we are using.

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

The monthly subscription fee can make someone stop using Olark especially for small startups like ours. I wish they can have have  a free package so that people who cannot afford the monthly subscription fee can still benefit from one of the best chat apps for a website.

**Recommendations to others considering Olark:**

I have to say that Olark is generally a very good live chat solution for websites. It increases the level of engagement between a company and its customers.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

With Olark you get a full customer support team for a fraction of the price. I love being able to create automated messages that pop up depending on the different web pages the visitor lands on. I choose what messages the visitor is greeted with and can A/B test each.

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

I wish that Olark had lead automated chat messages. The ability to click yes or no and direct the user through a sales process would be really cool.

Use the Slack integration so you are able to get push notifications every time a site visitor chats with you.

We are able to quickly communicate with new and unique website visitors immediately with the slack integration. Each visitor is greeted with a pre-determined friendly message.

It's really simple to install on your website, provides some great tools for an auto response without it appearing robotic and provides easy access for your web visitors to reach out and contact you

There is very little I dislike about it, constructive criticism it could do with some canned responses which would be useful to use when you can't quite get to respond to a customer efficiently

Set it up to only display when you are actively online,  it has a great feature to hide if not available and we find that most efficient way to use it, i.e. its live-support so customers don't expect to send you an email

I think it's greatly improved the conversion ratio of our AdWords campaigns and is certainly allowed people to communicate with us freely and easily without the suspicion of filling in forms

I’d like to edit the appearance more and make even more customised. Having said that I loved the wee holiday themes last Christmas!

It's a simple tool and it lets us interact with customers at  a very important step in the buying process. The filtering and customization lets us adapt it to our site nicely. Reporting lets us measure employee performance.

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

I can't think of something I dislike. The tool is very useful. If I could make it better I might consider integrating it into other services like gmail or hubspot to manage everything in one place.

Use the trial if they offer it and test it out for a few days during business hours. Then test it out outside of business hours to see if you are missing opportunities in your normal way of doing business. Configure the chat box extensively and test out different messages/attention grabbers.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer communication is key for us. The conversion increases if we have an opportunity to speak with them. Customers are liking not having to talk with someone on the phone. It also lets us see traffic and when and where customers are shopping on the site. It gives us a great amount of insight.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

My ability and my customer's ability to chat with a live person on the spot with an extremely short response time as well as their ability to recognize exactly who I am when I chat. 

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

Olark's internal caching feature shuts my chat off sometimes and it is a difficult process to get it up again.  It does seem to have gotten much better in the last few weeks, however.  There is not a screen share feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Olark:**

Pretty stable platform.  Good reliability.  Very easy to use.  Would like to see a screen share feature added.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immediate support for our customers.  Customers are happy because they get an answer or feedback or a referral to a trainer or specialist right away.  No wait time.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

Love how simple it is to adjust settings for the chat, seems to be very easy for the users to use as well which is very important (we've used other chat platforms before where costumers felt lost and ended up just calling).

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

I wish it had more design options, the look is great but it would be cool to be able to implement more design elements and import our own assets to fully customize it.

Never be afraid to reach out to their customer support, I've had countless of questions that have been resolved almost instantly through their chat, they always go out of their way to make sure you have resolved any issues you were having with their product.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Costumer retention, it has helped greatly to be able to attend to our costumer's needs in real time while they're navigating through our website rather than them having to figure things out on their own and hesitate to give us a call or send an email due to urgency.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

Olark is like one of the most important ways to chat with our customers on the website. I'd say that this is like the easiest way to accommodate customer and people who visit the website. Basically, you're able to chat with the customer just by getting their names and numbers. Another one would be the fact that you're able to solve the problem efficiently and effectively. There is also feedback at the end for the customer representative which is pretty awesome.

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

The part that I don't like about Olark is limited features. Another would be restricted access to the location of the person who is basically chatting with you. Another would be, it doesn't really matter what information I put in to start the chat as a customer either valid or not. The chat will come through, basically, there is no filter of validation. 

**Recommendations to others considering Olark:**

Not much of an advise but yes it's a good way to get in touch with customers to build a better customer relationship and provide solutions at ease. Other than that you can also post pictures and documents links over the chat.

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to resolve customers issues over that chat whoever visits our website with minimum effort and ease of use. Also, you can provide information via links and pictures.

Olark is very easy to use. I like the different chat features like automatic pop-up and the ability to toggle it on/off.

Lack of metrics. I wish there was a way to group similar keywords and measure by them.

We are solving our inability to chat on our website. Benefits include people chatting with us because of automatic pop-up when they arrive to the site.

The shortcut keys for text. Provides a company feel to all customers receiving a uniformed message. Also saves time when navigating between multiple chats.

The design doesn't feel very modern. There could be a better UI designed and possible personalising for user-facing settings.

Create a list of frequent messages you are currently using and answers to FAQs (emails). These can be added to shortcuts for daily usage.

Visitors coming to our site for assistance with our platform. Email and call volumes decreased as a result. Customers feel they can reach us immediately as Olark links directly from our software.

I like how easy Olark is to implement and how it makes our company much more accessible to potential clients and students. For just a small fee each month, we are able to capture more leads and help students register for our courses before they leave our sales page and get out of the purchasing mindset.

Maybe this is just something that I need to look into on Olark's site, but I would like to have training on other features of the software and how to best communicate with customers on the platform.

When I transfer a chat to another saleperson, there is a long process to see the history of the chat. The salesperson taking over the chat has to login again and click into history. It just takes too long when people are expecting quick responses.

The instant notifications and simple design help me stay in touch with clients; answering questions, communications and sales are made easier with a platform I can rely on. I can assist clients in real-time while they are browsing my site and keep track of the specific items they are requesting.

There is very little to improve on but I do have a few suggestions: It would be great to have this platform linked with my commerce platform so that payments can be handled within the chat. I also think that the popup chat bar could be more discreet but that is only a minor issue. Overall I am quite pleased with this product. It hasn't failed me yet.

I like how you can see the pages and activity of the visitor through the chat portal and the ability to tailor messages based on the page or activity. I also like how in the chat, it shows you the UTM params or referral source and also integrates with salesforce.

Although Olark integrates with Pardot (which is great) it is a bit challenging to set up and doesn't always work. It can be especially challenging to integrate properly if you use chat for sales and support. This may not be a limitation on Olarks side, but if you use Pardot and need to push leads through to Saleforce, it can be a challenge.

Do your research. Olark can be great, but make sure it meets all of your needs as there are plenty of options out there to compare.

**What do you like best about Olark?**

What I like best is how with Olark I am able easily to connect with customers in real-time and see what they're seeing. 
Some customers don't want to call in and they might be multitasking so task offers another medium for our customers to connect with us and shared their issues and get answers in real-time. This is great as opposed to emailing us through our contact form- which often involves a lot of back and forth and wait time between each party's response. It takes on average 10 minutes to get a chat complete to resolve all their questions, whereas versus email we would have to sometimes take up to 24 hours to get an issue resolved with all the back and forth.

Also, with Olark, we can see what page the customer is seeing which ensures that we are both on the same page. #punny

**What do you dislike about Olark?**

I don't like how the link to that person's account doesn't automatically open. This means that I still have to manually pull up their account by searching by email in our system and this means more wait time for the client. Clients expect faster responses via chat and it would be nice if somehow Olark could be integrated with our CRM so that a customer's account can instantly pop up which would definitely create a WOW experience for clients as we are able to immediately look into the issue as opposed to searching for the account. 

**Recommendations to others considering Olark:**

Olark is easy to use and allows faster connection with customers in real-time. You're able to see when they're typing and what pages they're looking at which helps make a more WOW experience as you're able to more easily diagnose the issues. 

**What problems is Olark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the main problems was response time. Previously we only had email channel where clients could write in. This meant a slow response time, and clients couldn't upload screenshots to their requests. This was a problem especially for our technical troubleshooting where a client was seeing something and we weren't sure what they were seeing and then they'd have to describe everything and then send us screenshots which further delayed the process. 
Plus, email led to a lot of back and forth which mean a longer response time to resolve their questions. 
With chat, they are now able to upload screenshots via Olark and we are able to answer all their questions while we're both available instead of waiting for the other party to reply by email. 
This has led to higher customer satisfaction.

We needed a quick, easy to implement, chat feature for our website. This provided that and a lot more. We quickly integrated it to our CRM and now not only use it for basic service related issues from customers but also as a lead generator!

I like this product as it is, I only wonder if I would get a better integration to by CRM if I used their paid service or chat features instead. Overall if you need a good solution for chat this is it!
