**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

Collaborative working with my creative partner, or multiple other people inside the organisation.

Missing some features that PowerPoint has. Slightly harder to integrate live video into elements for dramatic effect.

Deck building and presentations, both internally and to clients.

 ### 2. Keynote Makes Collaboration Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote allows collaborators to work on a project and make edits, notes, and suggestions.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I don't like how it is in icloud and my storage is always too full. I don't want to pay for extra storage.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows collaborators to work together in real time.

 ### 3. One of the best tool for presentations with Live streaming

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dana Y. | Product Marketing Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

- Our primary application to create presentations for our clients
- Quality of the templates. Implementation is very easy, we created a lot of presentations based on standard templates
- Animations. They are high quality and very smooth
- Web version. You can share your presentation with colleagues and edit this simultaneously even if your collegues don't have Mac computer
- Live streaming. Stream your presentation live only using link. Presentation live streaming can work not only on Mac's or Pc's but also on mobile. Just using browser
- Full iCloud integration to store files and sync them between devices
- We use Keynote to create reports for our clients every month on regular basis

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

- You can't stream voice during presentation
- Keynote is free only for new users
- You can export to Power Point format, but a lot of content becomes static, not all transitions are supported
- Not so much templates to choose from

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

If you buy a new Mac you will get Keynote for free. You can share your presentations and edit this with web version using iCloud. Templates can speed up presentation creation, you don't need to be designer to create professional one.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote is a great tool for creating beautiful presentations with strong animations and beautiful templates. We use Keynote to prepare presentations for our clients with results of our work on monthly basis, if we need we can export presentation to PDF and just send to the client, very convinient. It's also a great too to do internal seminars for employees, so everybody can follow presentation using live streaming

 ### 4. Review of Keynote. With each slide I can better organize and communicate my ideas.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote has many pre–designed and adaptable styles that give me the freedom to customize each element according to the occasion. Navigating through its interface is fluid even in moments of complex edits; it has transition effects and animations that are easy to apply and I use them to enrich my internal presentations and make them much more dynamic.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

More than not finding negative aspects I'm surprised that Keynote maintains consistency in its design and usability over time, it continues to have stable performance even in heavy documents which reinforces my confidence in continuing to use it.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's effective for designing presentations (onboarding modules, graphic routes or itineraries for conferences) that work not only as visual support but also as interactive tools. Keynote helps me to clearly structure ideas on slides and thus raise the level of my communicative experiences.

 ### 5. Keynote a slide show you can believe

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I like slide shows because it's designed for creating visually appealing presentations, similar to Microsoft PowerPoint, by adding text, images, charts, and animations to slides.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

It does not work well with Android and Microsoft.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps teachers build presentations for their classrooms.

 ### 6. Basic and free presentation tool for Mac users

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nir L. | VP R&D, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I am not a big fan, but the small things I do like are 1) the long list of possible animations (that used to be unique but is currently getting more trivial); 2) the ability to open the proprietary Keynote files that you might still have lying around somewhere; 3) the pricing (free for MacOS users); and 4) the fact that it can automatically animate existing presentations and create movie clips.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Oh yes, Keynote used to be something special, back when it was Keynote vs PowerPoint. But as time went by more and more presentation tools emerged, and PowerPoint got better and better, and Keynote was left behind. The main dislikes are the lack of a web-based version, the boring and unappealing UI, the lack of connectivity outside the Apple ecosystem, and the lack of interesting tools and images. Compared to other presentation systems like Canva, Miro, and even PowerPoint, I find Keynote to be lacking in both strength and valor.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote is the tool for creating and editing presentations. It's available for free on the MacOS system so anyone can use it to open common presentation files. I am using Keynote to open older "Keynote" files and convert them to more common formats.

 ### 7. Good, But It Isn’t Great

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

It was already installed on my MacBook so I gave it a whirl. I like how simple it is. I've worked with other presentation software and a lot of them are just too overwhelming. This is pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

When exporting for other programs, it doesn't always play nice. Fonts missing, formatting a mess, and some functions/transitions that are in Keynote don't mirror ones in other programs.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easily accessible for our team. We switched over to Apple products a while back and decided to do this instead of Google Slides. It is better and more stable in my opinion.

 ### 8. Easy to make slides with a nice look

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan C. | Líder CRM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is the perfect PowerPoint alternative; you can quickly make professional-looking slides, and it has features you can control from your Apple Watch when you're presenting

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Some of the functions that Keynote has can be very limited; one of them is the animations, the variety is little, and you have to repeat some; the same happens with the templates.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use keynote for the presentation of our reports, it gives us the ability to easily move excel tables or numbers, photos from the iPhone or striking texts from the iPad

 ### 9. Apple Keynote Is Great!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H G. | D, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I can use across all mty devices, it works on the iPhone, iPad, and the MacBook Pro I have. It makes working on any presentation quite convenient. Extremely easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Honestly, I do not dislike anything, it works, it's easy, and I have access to everything, there is nothing to dislike about it. It is even free to use no subscription needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I highly recommend the use of Apple Keynote. It works great and is easy to use.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I am solving is how easy it is to use across multiple devices without any need of file conversion. The benefits are having it readily available when needed anywhere I am.

 ### 10. Can't believe more people don't use Keynote

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I jumped into Keynote a few years ago and never looked back. I predominantly use its flawless ability to build animated sequences – from simple mini-presentations to fairly complex productions. It offers the ability to paste other Mac app images which is a real time saver.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

That it's Mac only and 99% of my clients are PC/Windows based and limited to Powerpoint. I've even showed clients how good it is and frustrated we can't readily share files.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my perspective – it just 'works' – and it fits perfectly with my Mac-based workflow. The tools are intuitive and it integrates seamlessly with the other Apple apps Pages and Numbers.

 ### 11. Great for individual design but lacks strong collaboration features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ella H. | Business Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The ability to create beautiful and complete designs. Super professional-looking decks for presentations and proposals etc.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Keynote lacks the seamless collaboration features that other presentation software has like Canva. It's often very clunky to give others access to the decks and relies on paid iCloud storage if you want to save multiple files.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to create stunning and professional looking presentation decks. Our team of designers are able to make full use of the design functionality to take visual presentations to the next level.

 ### 12. Easy to use for our purposes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** lauren j. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

user friendly for mac users, allows us to present well to groups of people, edit presentations for use on iPads

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Some people who arent familiar with macs struggle from time to time, so associates have to use Powerpoint so I have to convert

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Presenting from ipads in schools

 ### 13. By far the best presentation tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is probably my favorite tool on Mac. I've been using it for years now to put together presentations and even to design marketing pieces. It's extremely user-friendly and once you learn all the features, tools, and shortcuts, you are able to put together beautiful presentations very quickly. Everything in it makes sense and it's user-centric. Great UI/UX. Great export options. Great integration with video/audio files. Very comprehensive set of features.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I don't have anything to complain, Keynote is amazing. If I have to say something I dislike, would probably be that sometimes it breaks when exporting files to PowerPoint format, but that's not what this product is made for in my opinion, so it wouldn't be fair to complain about that.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote helps me put together beautiful presentations (business, educational, personal). It also allows me to express myself creatively given that I'm very familiar with all of its features and tools. It's my go-to tool whenever I'm planning on building static visual aid / presentations (even some other types of files sometimes, like documents with complex images).

 ### 15. Easiest and Best tool for Presentations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad H. | Head of Digital Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is one of the most easy tool for making presentations. It helps you save a lot of time. It might not be as feature filled as Microsoft Powerpoint but it covers all the necessary information & features. The animations of Keynote are amazing, best thing about Keynote is that it comes built in with Apple Machine.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

There are 2 things I dislike about Keynote, It doesn't as much feature filled as powerpoint but this doesn't bother me much, Its not compatible, If you have a key file and you don't have an apple system there nothing you can do about it.

Animations also doesn't remain the same after exporting in PPT

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote helps us to create amazing presentations and at the same time it also helps you to save a lot of time.

 ### 16. Beautiful layout!

- beautiful layout
- easy to use by team
- range of fonts

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

- Takes time to learn
- Need proper training

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 17. HELPED ME WITH CREATING MEME'S

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Easy to figure out. If I made a mistake it was easy to undo

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I can't think of anything that I disliked about it. I thought it was cool for what I needed it for.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I worked at a record label, I had to create video memes for music videos we were releasing. If I couldn't get it done in time, I would use keynote & do it myself

 ### 18. Excellent alternative to Powerpoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica T. | Associate Director Of Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is very user-friendly. I like that I can easily edit each slide and how simple it is to add transitions. I also appreciate that there is a "collaborate" option, as that simplifies things when working as a team.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I appreciate the "collaborate" option, but it can only be accessible on a Mac, which makes things tricky when trying to share with a PC user. Not impossible; just additional steps are needed.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote helps us convey information clearly and concisely. It is beneficial when showing slideshows on a video conference call. Allowing the presenter to access other screens while the presentation is going on.

 ### 19. Seamless Presentations - Everybody Loves it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yasas Sri W. | Doctoral Candidate (PhD) in Augmented Reality, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote aesthetics are the best. I really love their user friendly design options, look and feel and simplicity. It works great on apple devices and there and thousands of extra additions to explore.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

When exporting keynote presentation to powerpoint, there are some issues such as missing formatting, compatibility issues and etc. However, that is not 100% issue with keynote but it can be due to lack of support from other presentation authoring tools as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I highly recommend anyone who are looking forward to creating beautiful presentations to give it a try, Keynote allows you to comeup with simply the BEST presentations ever.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the boring presentation designing task by giving user friendly tools for anyone to create beautiful presentations. As an educator, I am extremely enjoying Keynote due to this.

 ### 20. Great Alternative to PowerPoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan B. | Email Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I love using Keynote over PowerPoint. Keynote feels so much more user-friendly and way more powerful. Features seem to be much more intuitive and easier to find.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

The worst part about using Keynote is that not everyone has the proper presentation setup. If I have to send the file to someone else to open, my format and settings could be lost or not as fine-tuned.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote was great for helping present ideas and reports. I used it to keep attention focused on my presentation rather than on me and my speaking. The presentation was the main focus.

 ### 21. Convenient mobile app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xiao Z. | Process engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The app has an app accessible on mobile phones, which makes preparing presentations much more flexible on mobile phones while traveling or on the road.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

It couldn't record the practice process.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote is good to reveal the presentation or other different formats of documents on mobile phones.

 ### 22. Apple's counterpart to PowerPoint

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha F. | Executive Assistant Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Just like Powerpoint, Keynote is capable of beautiful, interactive presentations. I have not used it for long, but by following a tutorial, I created an interactive planner. My goal is to build our webinars on the iPad using Keynote to work on it no matter where I go with my iPad.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I am a big fan of PowerPoint and, therefore, familiar with using it. I had hoped Keynote would be similar, but it is not and is a steep learning curve. I would like to see a Windows 10 app of Keynote.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I hope to use it to create presentations on the go using my iPad once I have the skills necessary to utilize it to its full capabilities. Since I do not know how to use it, I usually revert to Powerpoint as it is quicker. I do intend to learn it better so that I can use it more and will update my review then.

 ### 23. Keynote -- ONLY what you need, nothing else.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinav D. | Creative strategy manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The simplicity of the software. Keynote provides you with what you need, and exactly that. There are no unnecessary options and features to confuse the user. The in-built features can do the job for which Keynote is designed perfectly - creating presentations.
Further, if you feel like it, photo and slideshow-based videos can be created on Keynote easily too.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

To be honest, nothing. The lack of extra features might be something that I might dock one point for, but it does not matter so much. The in-built features are more than enough to get the job done.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

Go for it. Simply brilliant of a tool to make presentations. It might take a day or two to get used to it, but once you start, it's impossible to go back.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Presentation making! That's one thing Keynote made extremely simple for me. Compared to its obvious competitor - MS PowerPoint, Keynote has limits in terms of what you can do. However, those limits end up working in your favour because you're not boggled by a plethora of options in front of you. There are things you can do, and there are things you cannot do. However, the things you cannot do in Keynote ARE NOT NECESSARY to create a nice, beautiful presentation.
Further, there are add-ons that you can download and install in Keynote.

 ### 24. Keynote a perfect tool for presentations for IOS users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil S. | Creative Strategy Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I would highly recommend keynote for individuals who are well versed with Mac OS and not windows. The software is seamless and is one of the best-suited alternatives for windows and the tools provided by the system work well in carrying out everyday business affairs.
Keynote for Ipad with all touch is one of the best ways to perform business operations on the go when traveling or change things in real-time real quick.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

While being one of the finest products, Apple can make an exception to make it available to windows and android users to share this experience with the world and not just IOS users

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest advantage of Keynote is it's completely free for Apple users. This is especially useful if you're looking for no-frills software to create presentations, and you don't want to pay for any additional features

 ### 25. Excellent alternative for Mac User not wanting to pay for MS PowerPoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will S. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is just as simple as the major competitors. It is simple, easy, and can save in any format for sharing. Keynote offers many ways of creating a vivid presentation to create your story.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

This is no fault of theirs but the simple fact that many people are not using this product. Therefore if you are in a corporation setting, depending on the company's main tools, it may be hard to share information between teams.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I would recommend Keynote to all Mac users. It is simply straightforward, easy to use, and Free. Users will be able to complete stunning professional presentations.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Keynote to create a lot of our teaching points to help get the point across that we are trying to communicate. The ease of flow with the different options makes it our go-to for presenting ministry material.

 ### 26. The most comprehensive presentation tool I've used

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yulia L. | UX/UI/Web Design Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The main advantage of Keynote is simplicity. Like many Apple products, Keynote has an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Most users with basic knowledge can quickly learn how to use Keynote without any problems. The adaptive ecosystem provided by Apple is great. Its simplicity, intuitive and user-friendly interface, and huge range of functions allow you to fully immerse yourself in the ecosystem. If you also have an iMac or any Apple device, you can use Keynote on multiple devices and synchronize your files via the cloud when you make a presentation on any device using iCloud. The lack of unnecessary functionality, tabs, and clutter inherent in PowerPoint allows you to focus on creating presentations without too much effort. A wide selection of templates from the package in a variety of color schemes allows you to speed up the process.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Keynote can only work on Apple devices. If you have a PC (Windows) and want to create Keynote files from scratch, you're out of luck. To open a Keynote file on a PC, you must first export it to a compatible format, such as. pdf or. ppt. There is also no AI feature, which works quite well in PowerPoint (version 2019+).

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

Keynote, Powerpoint, and Google Slides are all perfectly suitable for everyday use. However, I prefer to work in KeyNote because its simplicity and user-friendly interface allow me to focus on the presentation.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Keynote mainly for my presentations to business clients. I create presentations of 10-100 slides with lots of animations, styles, graphs, and everything you can do with Keynote.

 ### 27. Presentation design made easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicte C. | LinkedIn Instructor & Author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I love how easy it is to use Keynote! It's a powerhouse without all the confusing buttons and options you see on PowerPoint. This lets you focus more on the delivery and context first. Apple Keynote makes it easy for you to design stunning and effective presentations. I especially love the capability of dragging vectors from Illustrator into Keynote and having it be scalable.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I wish we could upload .EPS or .SVG files and be able to change the colors from those assets. Right now, I have to use a little hack that involves PowerPoint to then convert it and be able to edit the colors in Keynote.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it as my go-to for presentation design for our company and our clients. I love that we can have branded themes to ensure consistency. Plus, it's so easy to train our clients on how to use their branded presentation with Keynote.

 ### 28. Keynote is a beautiful version of Powerpoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I like the ability to create custom decks using our company's logo and design language. I like how easy it is to duplicate and re-use old presentations and then customize them on the fly. I like the overall design of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Sometimes, I have a hard time finding "format" buttons and things like that. Some of the menu organization is a little confusing to me. The more I use it, the more I get used to it, but sometimes, I think "there has to be an easier way to organize these menus".

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of presenting to prospects and internal folks. Easy to share information with colleagues and potential customers. -- It's also solving the problem of NOT having to use Powerpoint which is exhausting.

 ### 29. Smoother than Powerpoint with better presentation capability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reginald G. | Coordinated Entry Systems Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I like the smooth yet simple presentation templates. The ease with which the presentations can look flawless is impeccable.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I dislike the not so perfect transition to Powerpoint. I don't expect it to be a perfect transition, but like for it to be tad smoother. I also dislike the heavier file size of each Keynote file.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

If you want to make presentations pop, use Keynote.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making good, and more quality presentations for company and organization meetings.

 ### 30. Keynote is the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ally C. | M, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote offers a range of templates for various uses. Whether I am creating a keynote for a lecture, workshop, or presentation, I can feel confident that keynote has the template that I need to feel like my creation is engaging my audience!

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I haven't found many things that I dislike about keynote. Coming from using PowerPoint, it does take some time to adjust and learn the differences between the two, but after the adjustment is made, I have found that keynote has more to offer!

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

Be patient in making the switch. You will come to find out that keynote is the best presentation creator

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In terms of business problem-solving, keynote helps me stay organized and feel confident. I often find that if my presentation does not look excellent, I feel less confident in what I am presenting. Keynote helps make it easy to create a sharp looking presentation!

 ### 31. Is there really even a worth alternative?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I enjoy the ability to assist in making your slide decks look great. The snap-to-grid tool helps with your spacing and typography. The subtle but powerful animations assist in creating solid points in your presentations. And finally, the built-in default templates look great from the start.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

The only thing I can even begin to think that I don't like is its support for importing older versions of PowerPoint. Sometimes it struggles to open, convert and render them correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

N/A

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Keynote because we need to make great presentations to customers and potential customers. Keynote makes it so easy to do that, even for novice users. It's smooth, looks good almost by default, and you can accomplish some pretty amazing things in it.

 ### 32. Keynote is great

It makes presentations much better

 ### 33. Slides, presentations and storytelling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Biagio D. | User Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is a very versatile and very intuitive software, especially suitable for creating video presentations, as Apple's answer to PowerPoint. I find it very complete and professional, from the ability to create master slides, to text formatting up to the ability to copy and paste vector elements from external software such as Illustrator.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I would insert more panels and functions for the text, to work more professionally. Also could be included libraries with interactive elements such as buttons, carousel, accordion, gallery

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

One of the best software to create presentations or graphic presentation templates, thanks to the many tools available and the animations or transitions present. It has a lot of compatibility with other software, such as Illustrator for importing icons or vector designs. Also present with special versions for iPad and iPhone.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it both to present my graphic design works, therefore creating storytelling, and to create presentation layout templates for my clients, for example for company profile. Also, when I present workshops or lectures, I use it to project my presentation slides. I also use the version on the iPad.

 ### 34. Keynote for my business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel Angel H. | Email Marketing Specialist (Project Manager), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

It's a very productive app that helps me do some of my work easier, it helps me when I am on a meeting I can use the Keynote remote to present easily, I carry all my presentations on my iphone and it is easy to take them with me

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I would say that since I do not have an imac i need to send the file into my phone manually, they are not sincronozed or i do not know how to do it, it would be great if that feature is available for windows

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I find this tool so helpful for my work, I use it only when I have to create a presentation for the team or a trainning

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, now that we are on a home office remote work, it helps me when I have to go to the office, sometimes I do not need to take my laptop with me, I can present directly from my phone.

 ### 35. Best tool for presentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob B. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The best features of Apple Keynote is how easy it is to learn and use. It's simple to learn the basics and handles typopraphy and images better than other presentation programs

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Keynote is a little expensive, which his typical for Apple products. Because of this, it's not as accessible and ubiquitous as PowerPoint. Would be great to see higher adoption throughout the business community.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I recommend Keynote before any other presentation program on the market.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Keynote for presentations and all types of other digital presentations of information and data. The presentations are great, but you can also use it for producting other assets like proposals, ebooks, etc.

 ### 36. Ann esential tool for public speakers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hernán B. | Partner & Executive Design Director | Structural & Graphic Packaging Design expert , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The best things about Keynote are its simplicity (even a child can use it), its compatibility with its great rival, PowerPoint, its connectivity, and its combination with other Apple devices, from the Apple Pencil to the iPad.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

It´s hard to pinpoint something I dislike about Keynote. Sometimes it crashes while working with huge files.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

The foundation of any Keynote is the theme. To select a Theme and start crafting your Keynote, open the Keynote application and go to File > New or press the Command+N keys. Apple provides dozens of ready-to-use presets.
When choosing a theme I recommend that you go for the simpler ones that will display your content without distractions, such as black or white themes for example.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a public speaker I need a tool that leverages my storytelling skills. Keynote manages images and videos like no other software and makes it possible to avoid using extra tools as Photoshop.

 ### 37. So Simple and Easy!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The ease of use is the most helpful aspect of Keynote. You can easily cut and paste and grab and move slides around for your presentation. The UX is so simple. I build out slides on Illustrator and Photoshop and it's so easy to transfer the images to Keynote and change the sizes around.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

The only thing I dislike about Keynote is that scroll is the default setting for using a remote rather than page by page. There were many times that I was in a rush and forgot to set it to page by page, and it took time out of my presentation to go back and correct it.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of Keynote are that I can get the message in my head to the images I create to the presentation on screen so the audience can enjoy in the simplest way possible. Its just so easy to use!

 ### 38. The forgotten app

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giordan R. | Art Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

What I like best about keynote is that it works well with apple products. Since keynote is linked to apple products I think that makes it more people inclined to use it. I also like how easy it is to set up your presentation with a remote to change slides while presenting.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I dislike using keynote because I do not think that it is very user-friendly. There are other presentation products that are out there for general users that would be easier to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

Give it a try and see if this is the right fit for you. Keynote is very much the personal preference of users. If you don't like it there are a lot of other products out there that do the same thing.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that you solve with keynote would be setting up business presentions. Keynote helps solve problems for both small companies and large companies. The benefit that I have seen would be that it is easy to set up with a remote. so you can present without another person.

 ### 39. Simple to use presentation software

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The most helpful feature of Keynote is the simplicity of the application. It is intuitive because the interface was well made. Another great feature is the themes that come pre-installed within Keynote. I can make great slides for most purposes, or I can start with a blank slide and add to my "canvas" in the way I see fit.
I also like that Keynote came with my Macbook. Not having access to Microsoft Office becomes an issue for users looking to work right away. For what Keynote provides, it is an excellent software that delivers.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

While the interface is user-friendly, it is not precisely like PowerPoint. For users looking for an identical, free application like Microsoft's, this is not an ideal alternative for everyone. I found Keynote convenient when I needed to work upon delivery of my laptop, but ultimately, I needed to invest in Microsoft Office.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote helped me work on my presentation when I didn't have any other option. I was able to export my file as needed, so I wasn't entirely locked into using Keynote for the remainder of my work. It was simple to use right out of the box, and I was pleased with the ability to navigate through a new software upon launching it for the first time.

 ### 40. Easy efficient presentation program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin D. | Unemployed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

How user friendly it was. Easy to add images and details. Easy to create different slides and different variety of them as well. I used it for posters, presentations, etc. and all were very pleasant experiences.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Saving as a keynote can be a pain because you can only play it through their program, Keynote. So I wish there was an easier way to save and replay/show your slides.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

It takes a little bit of trial and error to get used to it, but once you get the hang of it, it's a relatively easy program to use.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems we were solving with Keynote at the early childhood center at the jcc were just the easieness of creating presentations. The benefits I've realized are just the pure ease of the use of the program.

 ### 41. Smooth, intuitive, and syncs well with Microsoft or Google programs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christyn K. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is smooth, intuitive, and syncs well with Microsoft or Google programs.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I'd love if Keynote had more templates in different styles - I've resorted to purchasing others' designs online to have a bigger variety of templates from which to choose. I also wish there were an easy way to make photo slides in bulk rather than having to drag and drop each photo, slide-by-slide.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

If you want a smooth, intuitive experience making slideshow presentations, this is a great option.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote is the PowerPoint equivalent for a Mac. It also can open and save as PowerPoint and Google Slide files.

 ### 42. THE Gold Standard of Presentation Applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Apple's legendary and undisputed look-and-feel

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

There is nothing to dislike. Its so easy to produce eye-pleasing and effective presentations that I happily do so for others

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

What works for some might not work for others, but in this case it works for everyone.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Despite having presentation function or modules in the office suite software packages we use, Keynote is our go-to for presentations. The efficiency of its use is unmatched.

 ### 43. Just beautiful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is absolutely free and works on macOS, iPadOS, iOS and other platforms over any supported browser. It's simple to use and contains powerful tools to create besutiful presentations.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Keynote live, a way to stream your presentations over the internet to other devices, is delayed by a few seconds and does not support live video and some transitions.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I recommend using keynote on an iPad Pro or any Mac(Book) since they have a large screen.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote saves money and is easier to use than powerpoint without reducing its features. The clean and organized design of the app makes it very easy to find those features.

 ### 44. KEYNOTE REVIEW

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash04 M. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

The interface is sooo easy and light to use. It has all th tools required for an amazing presentation and works soo smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Keynote doesn't let you zoom in after a point, it also has limited amount of fonts it shows in the text format section. Working in collaboration is also a little laggy.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

N/A

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making simple yet very clear and understandable presentation. Communicating my ideas in the best way. Keynote has helped me boost my presentation skills by providing templates and layouting styles.

 ### 45. Polyvalent and user-friendly software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Etienne S. | Infographiste, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I use Keynote to make classic slideshows, but also for simple animations that I convert to animated GIF or video. Not having the skills to use Adobe AfterEffects, I arrive at a more rudimentary result, but satisfactory enough for my needs. This software is by far more ergonomic than its main competitor, PowerPoint.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Sometimes, there is a problem with GIF conversion. The slides are flashing and I don't know why. Also, it could have more animation options.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

Trying it is adopting it.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can create many dynamic posts and ads for different kinds of supports (websites, social, media, newsletter, etc.). For me, it's simple, intuitive, quick to work with Keynote.

 ### 46. Get the Job Done

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I like that it's built into the iwork suite that Apple has been creating, and it's a good tool to get introductory presentations done. I used it more in college but still jump back to it because it has that intuitive quality Apple products/software has after being a long-time Apple user.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

There are a lot of restrictions, I find, so as a professional, I don't invest as much time as I used to because there is other software out there that are quick. Free online tools have amazing templates, better instructions and are built for absolute beginners, whereas Keynote, like mentioned before, it's intuitive if you've been a long-time Apple user. There isn't much support for Keynote in terms of guides or support for troubleshooting.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't believe Keynote solves any problems. The more I grow in my professional field, the less I use the software because it doesn't have those built-in templates or begging tools that make other software much easier to use.

 ### 47. Good product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

easy to use. All options are directly in front of you and it gives you formulas for custom cells.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I don't like that you can't import a document from another platform that is similar. You will end up losing some of your formatting.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to purchase Microsoft version. This app comes native on Mac OS

 ### 48. It is the better version of PowerPoint

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex R. | Digital & Marketing Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Clean designs, easy live sharing accessibility between those on the OS, high volume of templates available that escalate it to the next edge.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

It's not cross-compatible with Windows, so that can damper co-working and Google Slides can come into play better.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Beautiful pitch decks for our agency. We've moved away from it more and more, but it still holds large value. The easy drop and go UX increases productivity when trying to get a deck put together.

 ### 49. Key Notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote provides beautiful presentations overall for your company. It is also simple and easy to use if you aren't tech-savvy. The templates on Keynote are also pretty great.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I don't believe this is their fault but I wish more people used this in a corporate setting. It's harder to work with this in Teams when not many people use it.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I would like this to be more user-friendly in the future.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynotes help solidifies presentations and also give a variety of options to present different topics. I feel that formatting could have been planned out a little better.

 ### 50. A simple way to create presentations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan W. | UI/UX Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

If youo know Apple programs (or even if you don't), it's pretty intuitive and easy to pick up and start going. It's easy to create something simple, but then also has lots of more advanced features to get fancy if you want to dive in. It uses the standard keyboard shortcuts (whereas PowerPoint does some weird things), and adding animations and transitions is much easier than other applications (and you can get pretty complex with it!) It's even great for just creating paginated PDFs, since you can use master slides and templates.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

It's exclusive to Macs, so not great for collaborative teams that use both Windows and Mac machines (however, exporting to PDF or image files is very easy, if you only need to share with others).

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

Must consider the people who need to be editing the files, since it's Mac exclusive. Even if there are others on the team who need access, if they don't need to edit (only view) then it could still work across systems.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating presentations (internal or external), creating multi-page PDF documents (like documentation for a project, or a read-out or summary). Benefits include speed and efficiency in generating these deliverables, as well as consistency across files.
