In Greenshot image editor we can directly export the images to Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook etc. Also we can upload the images directly to Confluence or Jira directly from the image editor screen itself. It's capabilities like Obfuscate, Highlight, Resize, Crop, drawing rectangle, ellipse what not it has everything that is required for editing the screenshots as well as any other images for business needs. The installation is also very easy. We use Greenshot in our VDI base image, as it takes very less space, which is ideal for VDIs and any virtual desktop environments. In envitonments where Light weight applications are preferred, Greenshot plays a crucial role. Also Greenshot is a perfect replacement for Windows Photos viewer application. **What do you dislike about Greenshot?** One thing that I dislike is it doesn't have any UI when opened directly, it will just run in background, we need to righ click on any image and select open with Greenshot Image Editor to get the GUI and all options, that is also fine considering the size of the application. Apart from that there is nothing to dislike. **What problems is Greenshot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Greenshot is drastically reducing the manual work for us. Before Greenshot, we used to edit the images in paint, snipping tool, Photoshop and then manually export those images to the required applications such as Word, Excel, Jira etc. but with Greenshot you can do everything from one console and no need to use multiple applications or manual exports. As we use VDI environment , we need a light weighted application which consumes as little space as possible and give all the best features of an Image Editor, Greenshot is exactly doing that for us. So when I'm saving screenshots that detail the network configuration of a site it can be named as {date}_{client}_{device}_{number} and saved in the format I need, usually jpg to save space. On top of that I can use this on every Windows machine without needing a License or login in into an account and easily configure a custom key to take screenshots, sometimes I use this inside a VM or into a remote server to keep the screenshot files where they are supposed to be inside the machine for future reference and using greenshot directly on the target machine is an step that saves me a lot of headache.
