We're not limited by what a developer can do but can allow them to flex their creative muscles without learning a new language to code in. Nested components inside content types are also very useful as we can create reusable blocks that can be distributed across a wide range of content without having to start from scratch. The user interface is easy to use for our day-to-day users as well as infrequent uploaders to the site. The fact that it also gets regular bug updates/fixes and the team behind Contensis holds frequent webinars about releases is very useful for us. In general, working with Zengenti feels like you are valued as customers. We can get 1-to-1 interactions with members of staff via their Slack channels or via the ticketing system and it never feels like it's off a script or automated, you get genuine human interaction, which is appreciated in today's crowded market. **What do you dislike about Contensis?** Some of the multilingual facets are sometimes a bit cumbersome to use and aren't always considered when doing new UI releases. As a site that now operates in over 12+ languages, this can be a bit frustrating for our global colleagues. Considering the ease of use with multiple panels/pop-outs is a challenge to be sure but it would be nice if this was focussed on more as well as the core functionality found in a single language site. **What problems is Contensis solving and how is that benefiting you?** Contensis allows us to manage and maintain large quantities of data, quickly and with little fuss. This is across two websites, one which is multilingual in over 12+ languages and another which is used as a document repository hosting well over 10,000 files. Me and my team have always had great experience with the support team. All feedback and suggestions for product updates are taken seriously as well, which is really great. It's clear that Zengenti cares about making sure that Contensis is as accessible and useable as possible. **What do you dislike about Contensis?** Some aspects of composition don't work, such as image cropping or image positioning in banners etc. This can get a bit annoying as sometimes things/bugs like this aren't always prioritise. Also, sometimes the support team isn't always clear about reasons for why issues happen. It usually takes a few days to get a reason why something has broken or fallen over. **What problems is Contensis solving and how is that benefiting you?** Contensis is doing a good job at making sure that communication between admins and editors is the best it can be. Zengenti offers reliable support and tickets and emergencies are responded to quite quickly. Updates and fixes are regular. We are currently migrating from Classic Contensis towards the new headless CMS UI which Zengenti is providing excellent 1-to-1 support as we make the transition. We are looking forward to the new features that the cloud-based Contensis will offer. Headless CMS gives our organisation the flexibility it needs to manage the content creation. Our developers can used their preferred skills sets without conforming to the limitations and concerns regarding the front-end development **What do you dislike about Contensis?** No complaints about the product. The new headless CMS may present a steep learning curve for some but we are receiving support from the Zengenti. Some quirks that can prove challenging without prior knowledge of the full ui options. I also don't like that you only have one thing open at a time. During our procurement process, we needed to find an innovative and friendly CMS company. Zengenti is both. By using the Enterprise edition on a cloud-hosted platform, we've been able to support our associated businesses, and we currently have 15 websites powered by the CMS - including our main council website and intranet. Because we use cloud hosting, the Zengenti team handle all of our upgrades and support. This allows us to focus on our responsibilities rather than the CMS's working environment. The introduction of content types and entries has proved to be a substantial progression for us. We currently use content types and entries with Vue.js code on Contensis Classic. As all our sites are using Contensis Classic, we're now looking into expanding the server-side delivery with blocks. As we have the latest version and the reverse proxy option, we hope to be able to deliver this incrementally. **What do you dislike about Contensis?** It's difficult to find anything negative after working with Contensis for the past eight years and witnessing its growth. Content editors can manage their pages and content without experience with development code. The content management system allows us to use multiple development languages and keeps our web presence modern and up-to-date with emerging technologies. The product is kept up-to-date, with regular updates; the support provided by Zengenti is also good, with the provision of a standard help desk and an active community on Slack. Zengenti also provides a series of regular webinars to learn about new features or essential industry development topics, such as digital accessibility and search. **What do you dislike about Contensis?** If you do not currently have REACT developers employed, there can be a steep learning curve when using a headless content management system over a traditional one. We found this to be our only challenge. It's generally stable and can cope with the demands of a large organisation. I found the CMS to be exceptionally easy to use, yet fully customizable to meet our every need and requirement. I especially liked the fact that we had full access to the source code and could build our own pages, templates, and applications. In more recent years, we embraced the headless CMS functionality. Zengenti was able to deliver a highly sophisticated React-based shopping cart facility. The new cart facility enabled us to seamlessly integrate our in-house Access Gamma EPoS system with our frontend website. This gave us the facility and confidence to re-open our sites in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The customer user journey was key to the success of the new checkout facility, allowing visitors to pre-book both their date and timeslot. **What do you dislike about Contensis?** There is very little to dislike about Contensis. The application itself gets continually updated to adopt the latest techniques, improvements, and best practices.
