But the #1 draw is that the support is out of this world! post a problem on the forum and before anyone attempts to answer you're likely to get an email from a suppport person to help you. Even if the software doesn't do exactly what you want, they'll try to work out a solution for you, even to the point of writing Javascritpt code for you to make it work. I even wrote to support several times before I purchased the product and the treated me just like they would any paying customer. Usually they ask me to send my project code and they will analyze the problem and usually even send me back a correct working replacement. As far as the software, it is similar to Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline, but cheaper and in my opinion less steep learning curve, although there still is a big learning curve - just not as steep as the others. Many other user examples make learning easier by allowing you to open and view their slides, code, and object properties. **What do you dislike about ActivePresenter?** The lack of some user customization. For example they've been promising the ability to make in-document hyperlinks to another in-document slide for some time but seem to be dragging their feet. Seems to be only external hyperlinks available. Also for the presentations I can't seem to create an outline-style table of contents for learners to easily access. Pretty much just the left-hand slide thumbnails. It's possible to make your own, but it's very manual. Finally I can't seem to make a test in which several questions appear on a page, the way a normal quiz would be displayed. It's one question per page. They sent me a workaround some time ago with some code, but it is, again, very manual and time consuming to create. But compared with similar software, the capabilities, price, and support still make it number one in my book. **What problems is ActivePresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integration of web-based mini-courses or full-blown courses in themselves all that can be integrated into an LMS shell. These courses are easy to distribute to other instructors or even sell to other institutions or as published courses for sale. ### 2. I have been working with ActivePresenter for over 7 years. The application is full of details that demonstrate its orientation towards solving the needs of its users. It's clear that they take them into account. It is a powerful application, but it is not complicated because it allows you to use only what you need at each moment, forgetting about everything else. It is an application in constant improvement based on attentive listening to the messages of its users. **What do you dislike about ActivePresenter?** Working with version 9, I find it very difficult to find any disadvantage. **What problems is ActivePresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** ActivePresenter is a tool especially suited for all those who understand that digital communication today must be hypermedia. In other words, for those who know that, nowadays, being relevant on the web largely consists of using messages that are true "communication machines." Messages whose power is based on good concepts, to which is added the best combination, for each case, of everything that can travel across the web, that is: text, image, sound, movement, links, and interactivity. The few times I have needed support, the team was very responsive and extremely helpful and even on a few occasions created scripts to make the software do what we needed it to do (which were somewhat non-standard use-cases). I have used many eLearning development and deployment platforms (including the 2 heaviest hitters in the industry), but ActivePresenter is hands-down the best value for the money and is most accessible for new team members to ramp up in learning development. **What do you dislike about ActivePresenter?** After 5+years of use to create dozens of interactive learning resources, I have not dislikes. **What problems is ActivePresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** Intearctive eLearning course development deployed to corporate customers on LMS. ### 4. Editing the video sometimes leads to issues when you have two timelines and then you by mistake update the wrong timeline, you have to rewatch this timestamp to figure out the issue. When I began to make videos for my classes and for my Youtube Channel, there were plenty of software. However, mostly I ended up becoming confused using those. Compared to many, ActivePresenter is very user-friendly. The interface is pretty easy to understand, and I like the slides' features. **What do you dislike about ActivePresenter?** When I edit videos, sometimes the volume function can be a trouble. In every video, we need to increase video volume on Active Presenter manually. I found out that it can be done only once. If I want to increase the volume again, it becomes 100x more, which sounds very bad on my videos. My recommendation would be to make the volume come to original so that the user can make as many adjustments as possible. **Recommendations to others considering ActivePresenter:** it's a great too for editing videos, recording screen and doing presentations. **What problems is ActivePresenter solving and how is that benefiting you?** I regularly make videos for Youtube.
