Who is 401GO pricing best suited for?

According to G2 reviews, 401GO's pricing is best suited for small businesses with 50 or fewer employees, which represent the vast majority of reviewers. G2 users across industries including accounting, healthcare, construction, financial services, and computer software consistently praise 401GO's affordability and simplicity for small teams. The GO-Starter tier suits businesses seeking a basic, state-program alternative, while GO-Solo fits self-employed individuals and solopreneurs. G2 reviewers also note that financial advisors and accountants find 401GO's pricing of 401GO ideal for managing multiple small business client plans efficiently.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of 401GO?

401GO does not offer a free version, but its three paid tiers address distinct needs. The GO-Starter at $25.00 provides essential 401(k) functionality including payroll integration, automated administration, and IRS document filing, making it a straightforward alternative to state-mandated programs. The GO-Solo at $19.00 is designed exclusively for solopreneurs and their spouses, adding profit sharing and TRUE360 integration. The GO-Plus at $139.00, described as the most popular plan, unlocks dedicated relationship management, safe harbor options, full 3(16) and 3(38) fiduciary services, an included ERISA bond, and volume discounts for 50-plus employees. Reviewers from accounting, healthcare, construction, and financial services note that 401GO's pricing of 401GO delivers enterprise-level 401(k) administration at a fraction of traditional costs. One G2 reviewer explicitly praised transparent fees at $9/month per participant covering recordkeeping and TPA work. The only noted concern is that AUM-based pricing does not scale favorably for some, and Solo(k) plans can feel expensive for individual users.

What do you like best about 401GO?

The option to set up a Roth 401K is one of the best features. Customer Service is still amazing and I appreciate the time they take to personally explain issues and concerns with various options/plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 401GO?

I have not found the integration with QBO to be great... I am not confident in the connection - probably an Intuit issue, but nonetheless I do not want to chance it and manually enter data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
