123colorize.com Reviews & Product Details

123colorize.com has a simple, straightforward interface with a minimal learning curve. It doesn’t require any advanced computer knowledge, so it feels very beginner-friendly. The results look realistic and add depth, color, and texture to photos, without the complexity of more sophisticated tools like Photoshop.

Processing is fast, often taking only seconds, so there’s very little waiting. I can use it on the go whenever I need it and we use almost daily for making backgrounds. Setup is easy because everything is cloud-based, and the workflow is essentially one click. Integration also feels seamless, since I can access local drives to upload photos directly into the tool. The dashboard is clear and easy to navigate, and customer support is helpful when it comes to explaining the pro features and benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The downsides of this platform are that it offers limited post-editing, especially when it comes to adjusting colors. Since it’s AI-based, there have been issues with the output not being consistent with the prompts. We also noticed it struggles to process very old images and more complex scenes, such as greenery, mountains, and blue sky. Pricing is on the higher side compared to peers, and the free version has limited features compared to other AI tools. Overall, since it’s still very basic at the moment, it often lacks the advanced controls you would expect from a professional tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AI frequently guesses colors incorrectly, which removes the need to research or manually manipulate colors to learn about the historical subject matter. However, it often fails to understand the context of the photo, resulting in generic or unnatural color applications rather than more nuanced results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Least Favorite things about the software.

- It's lacking color intelligence. Blues and greens are not easily recognized unless they were originally very bright.

-There's no way to edit colors in post (at least in the free version)

- I started with a HQ photo, made it BW in photoshop, then uploaded it to the software.

The original photo featured bright greens, navys, and bit or bright orange and blue. None of the original colors can be found in the "recolorized version" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
