What do you like best about 1-800Accountant?

I like that 1-800Accountant consolidates everything into one company for my bookkeeping, taxes, and payroll needs. It's really helpful that they have assigned specific people to different parts of my business, making it easy to address any issues. I find their software extremely customer-friendly, and the portal they use is easy to navigate. The communication with them has been great, which is really important to me, and having everything in one place makes things simpler. From the first consultation, the rep they assigned us was unknowledgeable about our situation so he had to bring in someone else. From there, the communication just stopped. We had supposedly set a plan in action, but they took no action and had very little to poor communication. One-word responses, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering 1-800Accountant:

My company signed up with 1-800Accountant on May 15, 2026, and paid $3,419 for accounting services.

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. Our initial consultation left us with concerns regarding the advisor's familiarity with our situation and the overall value of the service. Following that meeting, communication was inconsistent and often unhelpful. We reached out through the client portal and live support channels seeking clarification and assistance, but the responses we received did not adequately address our concerns.

One particularly frustrating aspect of the experience was being told that we had not sufficiently utilized available support channels, despite having already contacted support and attempted to resolve issues through the methods provided by the company.

As a result of the initial consultation, subsequent communication issues, and an overall loss of confidence in the service, we elected to cancel within the company's published 30-day cancellation period.

At the time of this review, no substantive tax preparation, bookkeeping, or accounting deliverables had been completed on our behalf. We have requested cancellation and a refund pursuant to the company's Terms of Service and are awaiting final resolution.

I am sharing this experience so that prospective customers can make an informed decision. Your experience may differ, but ours was characterized by poor communication, unmet expectations, and a lack of confidence in the services provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
