While Riverside has a ton of fantastic and incredibly helpful features, I'm afraid it has been incredibly unreliable over my past year of use. The time I've saved with their amazing editing tools and copywriting has been overridden by time spent troubleshooting and fixing things. (Not sure if their R&D team just doesn't exist, or is too busy developing new features without smoothing out existing? This signals too-rapid business growth, so they need to slow down a beat to take inventory.) I have had issues where I go to edit or export tracks, and I'm simply unable to. Imagine spending time recording or editing your episodes then trying to get them to the next stage, and suddenly there's an error! More frustratingly, the software is unclear about the errors, so either A. nothing will happen when it's supposed to, or B. a random error message will appear without further context, so you have no idea how to fix it. It's also impossible to find where all of my uploads live, so I don't know where that media is, and there is no way to better organize it. It is difficult to get a hold of a human through their AI chatbot. And, when I am able to get a hold of a human, it's a 50/50 chance that they will actually fix the problem in a timely manner. When I've asked for partial refunds to at least compensate for a fraction of the time that I've spent having to fix their buggy issues, they just point back to their terms of service, which to me shows that they cannot guarantee their product. Customer support has been lackluster overall. Initial setup of Riverside could have been smoother. There are technical specs that needed to be set up, and there was very little guidance on how to do that. So, I made a lot of mistakes that could have been prevented with simple UI info markers. One thing I dislike about Murf.ai is that sometimes the more natural and premium voices are locked behind higher pricing plans, which can feel limiting for freelancers or small creators. We'd love to hire actors to read some of these sorts of scripts. But making the settings, lighting, audio quality, and all those things at least as good (even if a little more natural) than what we get at HeyGen would cost a FORTUNE, especially for the prototype/pitch/MVP phase of product design. I'm a solopreneur, who also works a full-time job. I have been using Adobe Audition for the past four years, and it has solved many important audio related problems for me, especially in my freelance projects. Before using Adobe Audition, I often struggled with extending audio tracks, cleaning background noise, and properly mixing sound for videos. I do not really like mixing vocals take a lot more time than it would in Pro Tools, like their reverb plugins aren't necessarily the best. I wholeheartedly believe Logic is better for making beats and doing the overlay of producing something. But that's just me because I have seen people master songs in Logic with vocals in less than 30 minutes. But I feel the Reverb could be better and the mixing process with vocals shouldn't be so tedious. But making beats? Oh, Logic can do no wrong in my humble opinion. Out of all the DAWs with that I have to go with Logic. But I humbly feel its not the best for mixing vocals. I actually had to get plugins to mix my vocals in it better. It has helped me be able to easily find my love for beat making. Bringing songs to life that are in my head even without live instruments and using to create songs. As I said in 2016 when I first started using it in college me and Logic was inseparable. It still is more than ever because when after using Bootcamp on my Mac and it messed up my computer settings to bounce in Pro Tools. Sporadically, the result is not the same as what you expected, e.g., some noise appears in the track, making it sound like an old gramophone's sound. Sometimes, while i am in different location where i don't have my professional accesories to record audio i have to record with my average earphones. It dramatically reduces time to edit my multicam podcast. I can essentially take my footage, run it through the auto cut podcast portion, and be publishing within 15 minutes. I feel that Ableton Live addresses a lot of the challenges that tend to come up during live performance. It’s been especially helpful for me when I’m playing live with a synth MIDI keyboard, since it makes live looping feel much easier to manage and far more practical in the moment.

So, my situation before was nil and after getting into Ableton live it changed my perspectives towards playing live and production.

Earlier, i use to think what exact software used for playing live or music production, especially Electronic Dance music and now i can see that Ableton is the DAW i was actually looking for.

I realized a very serious challenge when I started using the software on Desktop Computers.

There was a time that power was suddenly interrupted which made the computer abruptly shut off.

By the time I switched it on and loaded my Project, Studio One says the file is corrupt, so I couldn't load the project again and it has happened consistently. The UI probably seems a little outdated, but that's really just a style thing. It's not an issue in terms of usability, just looks a little dated. Also, even though I can open any ridiculous number of audio files for editing at the same time, there doesn't seem to be a way to apply the same action or tool to more than one of them at a time. When I record live voice narration for use in tutorial videos, I need an easy and effective noise reduction tool to clean up the audio from my live mic. I can't afford an expensive sound stage with acoustic treatment covering the walls and whatnot; I just have a desktop pro mic, a reflexion filter, and a pop filter. So I still get some background noise (e.g., from my desktop computer, which has plenty of cooling for the video rendering hardware). GoldWave lets me clean up all that noise so you don't hear the room or any background sounds (within reason). Using the Noise Reduction tool I can clean that stuff up with about three clicks. My biggest issues with Pro Tools is the iLok verification, it was more of an issue in the past but now that iLok has its own license manager for the computer its way better than buying the dongles. My other complaint would organizing and removing plugins. You may download a trial, or subscribe the a package for a month, but when they are no longer active, they still clog up your menus.
